MARIAH CAREY sang a new and fun classroom rendition of her hit holiday song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” with JIMMY FALLON backstage before his show on Tuesday.

We’re sure you’ve heard Mariah Carey‘s overplayed hit from 18 years ago, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” way too many times that you’ve already memorized the instruments and the harmonies by heart.
And if there was going to be a new twist to it, only the new “American Idol” judge herself should pull it off… which she did, with the help of classroom instruments, some kids, the band The Roots and Jimmy Fallon before her appearance on his “Late Night” show on Tuesday.
The plastic Fisher Price xylophone, bongos, sleigh bells, melodica and the other makeshift instruments can only do so much but Mimi‘s beautifully preserved voice effortlessly completed the song. She sounds just like she did on the record!
