Nick Lachey is a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan and he just proved it when he loudly trash talked the opposing team, the San Diego Chargers, and fought with a Chargers fan during a match at the Qualcomm Stadium last Sunday.

As a result, the 98 Degrees boy bander and first-time dad was kicked out of the sports stadium before his team was even named the winner.

Surprisingly, he bragged about the incident on Twitter, writing:

“Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn’t be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals.”

He later added:

Bengals win again. i’d talk trash to everyone in SD, but what’s the point? you already had me kicked out of the stadium and you still lost.”

As for the fight, witnesses tell TMZ that Nick told some Chargers fan’s wife a “f*cking b*tch” and “a host of other profanities.”

The Charger fan, who was wearing an Igor Olshansky jersey (the Chargers player from 2004 to 2008), reported his side of the story, saying that Nick and his pals started the trouble when they kept teasing him and making offensive comments about Olshansky, to which his wife replied:

“Well, he lasted longer than your boy band.”

An obtained video showed what took place afterwards–Nick lunging at the fan, grabbing his neck and shoving him to the ground.

Despite what could be seen in the footage, Nick defended himself by posting:

For the record, i was not kicked out of the chargers game for excessive ‘trash talking’. no, that honor belonged to the guy in front of me!”

The singer continued:

“i simply don’t appreciate someone turning around and putting their finger in my face. call me crazy, but that deserved a reaction.”

Clearly, the Chargers fan didn’t think he deserved the treatment as he’s reportedly planning to file a police report against Lachey.

His rep responded to the threat by slamming the fan’s story with a statement issued to the site:

“This is a gross misrepresentation of what happened. It was nothing but a spirited debate between fans of opposing teams. At no point did Nick say anything derogatory to the man’s wife and anything to suggest the contrary is simply untrue.”

But don’t think that Lachey now hates all Chargers fans. He tweeted:

“Majority of charger fans were awesome yesterday, thanks for the hospitality! Sadly, there is always one guy that ruins it for everyone…..”

He added:

“aside from a few exceptions, i had a great time hanging with Charger fans all afternoon. honestly, some of the nicest fans around.”

Watch as Nick shoves the guy and gets escorted out of the stadium:

Who should be blamed? Nick, the fan’s wife… or the game?
