DANIEL RADCLIFFE admits that he finds it “very strange” how people are focusing more on his “gay sex” scenes in his new movie, “Kill Your Darlings.”

Two years after finishing his stint as the world’s most famous young wizard in the “Harry Potter” movie saga, Daniel Radcliffe has moved on to more mature roles… specifically his new movie, “Kill Your Darlings,” where he stars as a homosexual poet Allan Ginsberg, engages in self-pleasure and (gulp!) gay sex.

But while that sounds like a major leap in genre, the very straight and single British actor—who couldn’t help having a man crush on Ryan Gosling, though—thinks it’s “strange” that his racy scenes are generating buzz after it  premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last Friday.

In an interview with MTV News, Daniel said about his racy scenes:

“It’s interesting that it’s deemed shocking..”

He continued:

“[People were] asking me all these questions about the gay sex scenes. I was like, ‘You know I did ‘Equis?’”

Daniel was referring to the Broadway play where he was nude and mutilated horses. So why was he surprised about the common reactions?

He explained:

“For me, there’s something very strange about that because we see straight sex scenes all the time. We’ve seen gay sex scenes before. And I don’t know why a gay sex scene should be any more shocking than a straight sex scene. Or both of them are equally un-shocking.”

Well, if you put it that way… But then again, perhaps the real shocker is the fact that we still see him as the young, wand-wielding hero, other than the more obvious fact that not many have been exposed to gay sex scenes as much as straight sex scenes.

How about you? We’re you shocked about Daniel doing gay scenes?
