JODIE FOSTER (sort of) addressed her homosexuality during her Golden Globe Awards acceptance speech on Sunday night.
Aaww, she didn’t need to. We already know, don’t we?
The latest Hollywood celebrity gossip is buzzing about Jodie Foster‘s shocking speech as she was accepting her Cecil B. Demille Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Globes this weekend.
Jodi started by saying that she had a “declaration” to make, which she was “a little nervous” about it. She continued:
“I’m just going to put it out there, loud and proud. So, I’m going to need your support on this.”
While everyone held their breaths, she blurted out:
““I am…single. Yes, I am. I am single.”
The audience then let out nervous chuckles, which soon died down as the actress admitted that she already came out “a thousand years ago, back in the Stone Age” but realized that celebrities are now “expected” to expose details of their private lives with an announcement.
She later thanked her two sons and her longtime female ex with a sweet message:
“There is no way I could ever stand here without acknowledging one of the deepest loves of my life, my heroic co-parent, my ex-partner in love, but righteous soul sister in life; my confessor, ski buddy, consigliere, most beloved BFF of 20 years, Cydney Bernard. Thank you, Cyd.”
The night’s comedic co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler later closed the show by joking:
“Thank you very much. We’re going home with Jodie Foster.”
