EMMA WATSON spoke on KRISTEN STEWART‘s controversial affair with her (married!) director a few months ago, saying “everyone makes mistakes.”
It’s been months since Kristen Stewart destroyed her reputation by cheating on her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, with her “SWATH” director, Rupert Sanders (who was just recently divorced by his wife), but her new actress pal Emma Watson wants to give her two cents on the issue.
The “Harry Potter” saga star said about KStew‘s ruthless detractors in an interview with Vanity Fair Italia’s February 2013 issue:
“Those who criticized her are the same people that think that being rich and famous is like being covered in some kind of magic powder that makes life perfect… Nothing can go wrong in your wonderful world.
Emma continued, in defense of the bullied actress:
“For these people, Kristen deserves all the bad things that have been thrown at her because she had an amazing life and she ruined it. I don’t know how to explain it, but it sure isn’t perfect. I thought that the media picked on her in a very horrible way. Kristen is human, just like everyone else, and she’s so young. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone. It’s not fair to consider them matters of public interest.”
Then again, she recognizes why the fans’ felt outraged about the affair. She added:
“On one hand, I can understand why it happened. People felt really involved in her relationship with Robert Pattinson. But it’s also true that they both have done everything in their power to keep their relationship as far from the public eye as possible.”
Guess we can understand where Emma is coming from. Although she definitely didn’t cheat on any of her low-key boyfriends, she knows exactly how intense media obsession can be incredibly intrusive and hurtful.

Honestly, I like both of them. Kristen Stewart made a mistake. People need to get over it. It’s nice to see that they’re both friends and speaking highly of each other.
