LADY GAGA has cancelled some of her upcoming shows due to a “show injury,” for which she has asked her fans to “forgive” her.
How could they not?
We are all pretty aware of how Lady Gaga loves and cares for her fans (why else would she call them by a name, Little Monsters?). In fact, she loves them so much that she’d go on with her show even if she didn’t feel well at all.
But this week, the controversial pop star has no choice but to wave the white flag after suffering from an injury that has disabled her ability to walk, much less perform.
Gaga announced on her Twitter on Tuesday:
“I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I’ve been praying it would heal.”
She explained further:
“I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans, However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can’t.”
According to her doctor, she has “synovitis”—a severe inflammation of the joints. As a result of the diagnosis, she has been advised to cancel her shows this Wednesday until Sunday in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton in Canada.
Naturally, this will disappoint thousands of her eager fans. She later addressed them, writing:
“To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devastated & sad.”
“It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this, I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry.”
Aaww. We’re sure they’ll understand, Lady Gaga!
Get well soon!
