According to the latest Hollywood gossip, NICK JONAS thinks MILEY CYRUS‘ VMAs performance was “funny.”
Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing…
Though they’re a little late to the party, the Jonas Brothers have finally weighed in on Miley Cyrus‘ raunchy VMAs performance (which has been branded as “inappropriate” by her fellow celebrities) in their recent interview with OUT magazine.
Nick, who broke the controversial singer’s heart back in 2008, praised his ex for the performance, which he thought was “funny” and “smart” (and by “smart” we assume he’s talking about what an effective marketing ploy it was on Miley‘s part).
“She’s smart. She’s very smart. We’ve always known that about her. She’ll always be successful. [The performance] was funny — I was laughing.
His brother Joe, meanwhile, was a little more vocal about how much he disliked what Miley did:
“It wasn’t my favorite performance of hers. I think that there’s one way of saying you’ve grown up, and there’s another way — I think that’s her way.”
But he then added:
“Look, people are talking about it, so I think it’s working for what she wants.”
As for twerking, which was popularized by Miley, Joe shares:
“I’m great [with twerking]. I’m with it. Bring it on. I’m a fan. I just think it’s appropriate for the right people. Not everyone can twerk.”
Though he expressed support for his ex-girlfriend’s antics, Nick was not as amenable to the new dance craze she helped make famous:
“I’m against it. I’ve just reached my limit. It’s just done. It’s too much.
Older bro Kevin, on the other hand, had mixed feelings:
“I’m straight down the middle. The right amount at the right time.”
