Lily has been making friends in the industry, including execs with Chanel. Do you think she can keep interested in clothes? From the Sydney Morning Herald:

The Smile singer – who recently revealed she was planning to set up a clothes store with her sister – has signed a deal with British network Channel 4 to record her attempt to make it in the fashion world.

A Channel 4 spokesperson said: “It is happening. The name and how many shows there will be is still undecided. It is due to go out early next year.”

It’s good Lily appears to be doing something constructive instead of getting in trouble like other young starkets we won’t name. *Cough* Lindsay *cough*. Keep it up Lily! Do you think Lily will be a successful designer?

Courtney got right in Lily’s face and told her off. Lily called her a little girl and then stormed off in tears. Courtney replied via Twitter:

“Pretty darn rich coming from someone who starts nonsensical fights with people out of insecure jealousy on a weekly basis. At least when I’ve started fights with people its because they f*** w my kid or f** w my $.

No further comment, hatred is not my drink, I don’t like jealousy, vindictiveness, stalkers, selfishness and dishonesty, that’s just me!”

Courtney is actually in the right here! Lily started it, or so it appears.

Do you think Lily Allen was trying to copy Gaga? Then she outrageously put on an orange wig, and had to go up and accept the award with it. Then she insulted people. Typical. From NME:

Wearing a ginger wig, the singer giggled her way through her speech, admitting: “I only wore this orange wig cos I thought It would make it harder for the cameramen to find me when I didn’t win and made my sad face.”

Host Peter Kay interrupted her halfway through her speech by sounding an air horn, to which Allen jokingly declared “F*** him! I’m not leaving” before concluded her thank yous.

Lily has been photographed topless several times, so I can see this. From Dlisted:

This well-known singer had a very intentional wardrobe malfunction before a recent performance at an international venue. Instead of debating what to wear in the privacy of her dressing room, she decided to make her wardrobe options much more public. So she stripped topless backstage, and then had a golf cart driver chauffeur her between the stage and her dressing room while she was completely nude from the waist up.

Speculation is that she hoped that just a glimpse of her girls would cause a certain Royal Prince to ditch his girlfriend for her. Didn’t happen. Eventually there was a lame attempt by a handler to “protect her modesty” by holding up a sarong as a cover up, but the singer seemed rather intent on providing plenty of exposure for any interested photographers. Sadly for her, they just weren’t that many takers.

Well, Lily was in concert recently. It was a known fact that Prince William was in attendance. Do you think it was Lily?

Lily called her sister, who is going to college in the US, but it went downhill fast. The half sister complained about their father, Lily defended him, then the arguing started. From Now Magazine:

Lily had never met or spoken to her half-sister despite being just 5 years older and growing up a stone’s throw from where she lived in London.

Now can reveal that Lily, 24, took the decision to call the student, who now lives in the US, last month.

But the emotional phone conversation ended with both girls in tears – for all the wrong reasons.

A source close to the singer reveals: ‘Lily knows Gala’s been through a lot and she felt bad for her. There’s so much bad blood between Gala’s mum and her family that she knew 
it would be difficult.

‘The chat started well, with Lily offering to fly Gala and her mum over to London to meet her and her brother Alfie.

‘But then Gala told Lily how neglected she’s felt. Lily knows her dad hasn’t always been the best person, but she defended him. Before long, they were arguing.’

 That’s too bad they argued, but really. Lily makes Elton John mad, why is this a surprise? Lily, hopefully, can calm down and try again.

Joss has a new album out, so she must be desperate for attention herself. Why in the world would she start something like this, when it was actually unprovoked? She says about Lily via Digital Spy:

“She needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too,” she told The Mirror.

“I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live.

“I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts. It’s really about the track and about their personality and their celebrity and that’s how they make their money is selling those records.

Lily hasn’t responded…yet. You know she won’t ever back down from a challenge. What will she say about this fight that Joss picked?

Lily occasionally comes out with a great ensemble, but just as often, she has body parts showing, mismatched pieces and general yuck looking clothes. From Ruby Room:

So it is something of a surprise to find that Lily is the latest ‘muse’ for Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld.

Miss Allen has already performed live as part of Chanel’s latest catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week and is set to become the face of their latest offering, the Coco Cocoon bag.

But Lily’s previous forays into the fashion world haven’t been greatly successful. She recently designed a range of prom dresses for High Street chain New Look, which she teamed with trainers… hardly chic we think you’ll agree.

Maybe Karl sees something in Lily we don’t see yet. Maybe it will help her clean up her act as well – what do you think? Is Lily stylish and we don’t give her enough credit?

Lily’s had a lot of quitting this week. She quit Twitter, Myspace and Facebook. Is she copying other stars? Probably. But Mark says this via Hollyscoop:

Mark Ronson confirmed reports that he won’t be working with Lily Allen, but denies that they had a bad falling out.

“I can’t go back to working with Lily,” the Sun quoted him as saying. “There’s been no falling out but our creative relationship has ended,” he added.

I can’t is the key phrase here. Can’t because….she’s a whack job? Has two screws loose? Isn’t really quitting the music business? Come on Mark, there must be a better reason than this! Why do you think Mark and Lily are done creatively?

Lily was performing at Chanel’s show because she is friends with Karl Lagerfield. Katy is a big supporter of them, so she was invited too. From The Hindustan Times:

the two singers were supposed to be at Chanel’s spring-summer show recently. And the organisers had to work behind the scenes to ensure that the two don’t bump into each other.

“Chanel did not want to risk offending Katy by not inviting her. Nor could they risk upsetting Lily if her rival popped up in the front row. Very senior people had to smooth things out so there was no embarrassing scene and Katy stayed away,” a source said.

Lily needs to just grow up and get over it. Katy apologized and has not continued on with the fight. Lily can’t seem to let it go and even said she wouldn’t perform if Katy showed up. Katy stayed away to keep the peace.

Lily wrote: “Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record. Lily, 24 is now focusing on her appearance in a London theatre production called ‘Reasons to be Pretty’, which follows a group of working-class people who are bored with their lives.

It’s not the first time Lily kung-fu kicks a cameramen. I guess photogs can be annoying especially coming off the plane jet-lagged. So grumpy reasons justified.

Other Lily Allen news: Allen is campaigning against music piracy.

Lily says: “file-sharing is a “disaster” for emerging artists.”

Lily has set up new site idontwanttochangetheworld.blogspot.com on which she posts messages from other prominent supporters of her cause.

I can’t agree more, piracy is terrible. Don’t steal songs online, don’t buy knockoffs. It’s not fair for the artists and the designers.

Lily might be very good in theater since she is a bit of the drama queen! From the Guardian:

 singer Lily Allen is in talks about making her stage debut in the West End run of Neil LaBute’s Reasons to Be Pretty;

She might be facing an uphill battle with the critics, however:

In what other profession could you charge people top dollar, having had no training, no qualifications and no experience? Imagine if wannabe airline pilots were allowed to climb into the cockpit of a fully laden jumbo jet. So why put an untrained celeb at the helm of a professional theatre production?

Ouch. But they do have a point. Lily doesn’t have training, but her big name will be a draw because producers think it will automatially mean ticket sales. Would you go and see Lily?

In the interview, Lily reveals she’s not as confident as people think.

Lily: ‘Yes, I think I am [shy], actually. I get embarrassed when people come up and ask for autographs.
‘I think people expect you to have a certain sense of decorum, but I almost find it like being a nursery teacher, having to be nice to people all the time. I haven’t got a problem with that, but I think people expect you to know how to deal with s**t. – via Daily Mail

Fortunately for her, no. This pain, according to The Daily Mail, was more of the physical kind. She told her twitter page that she fell down and hurt her back.

‘I feel a bit emotional tonight and if I cry it’s not because of you but because of me,’ she told the Finnish crowd. Prior to the performance, she wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Fell over badly last night and I’ve really f***** my back up. Just had an injection in my bum. How am I gonna get through tonight’s gig?’

Ironically, the name of her newest album is “It’s Not Me, It’s You.”

Kate had her daughter on board the ship, so hopefully only good, legal things took place. According to the Daily Mail:

Never one to want to miss a party, Lily Allen has joined her friend Kate Moss on her sunshine holiday in France.

The singer, wearing sunglasses, a blue strapless bikini top and white shorts, looked as trim as supermodel Kate, 35, as they strolled along the beach.

Her new physique could be down to taking her friend’s advice on dieting.

According to Closer magazine, Lily recently turned to Kate for help on keeping the weight off.

‘Kate’s been telling her to try the “rock chick” diet – coffee, cigarettes, vodka and champagne, which are relatively low in calories,’ a friend of the star revealed.

Oh boy, I hope that’s a joke! Lily doesn’t need any help like that on her diet! Lily, stay clean.

After having a major fashion revamp earlier this year, the singer has followed things further by designing her very own jewellery line of gem-studded pendants.

Of course, after her flop of a New Look line, it’s not surprising that Lily had to resort to a publicity stunt at the press launch of the collection; whilst modeling her creations, her top slid down to show off her own gems.

Lily has been on tour for a few months, but this slip happened in Switzerland. From the Daily Mail:

After lifting her arm in the air in a seemingly graceful pose, crowds were left smiling as the songstress’s loosely-fitting dress came away around her chest to reveal a bra-less Allen.

It’s certainly not the first time The Fear singer has experienced such a mishap.

In fact ‘accidental’ flashes of her bust and underwear appear to be becoming part of her repertoire.

Lily’s album sales and tour hasn’t been doing as well as she liked, that’s no secret. how else can you bump up ticket sales? Offer a bit of nudity! Lily’s no dummy, she knows what gets attention. I’m just thinking out loud.

According to a source: “She’s even been asking friends to set her up on dates. She can’t seem to meet anyone, and it’s making her miserable.”

The source also says: “Lily’s vulnerable after her relationships failed. She is especially concerned about going on her tour without a boyfriend there for her backstage. She needs a man to take care of her, and to give her attention. Without that, she fears she’ll go off the rails.”

As reports by the Mirror: A source says: “Lily is in fantastic shape and was keen to show off her curves. As with most of her videos, there are quite a few surprises in store.“Lily was keen to try different things and is never afraid to poke fun at herself.”

Perhaps she needs to try wearing a little bra next time, you think?  In any case, Lily looks great, she looks like she’s gotta herself in much better shape and I love her hairdo.
