Alanis Morissette has been quietly performing recently.  She isn’t the loud, angry woman who took the stage a few years ago….except for one little incident.

Alanis had met the Pope and was on a stage a while back.  She needed to exit after, but didn’t know exactly how to do it, since the Pope’s entourage – OK, they were Cardinals – were sitting in a cluster on stage too.  Alanis opted to go in front of them to exit the stage faster, when they all started whispering in French.  They said it was rude and made a bunch of other comments about her in French. 

“Ryan Reynolds and Alanis Morissette have mutually decided to end their engagement,” confirms both their reps. “They remain close friends and continue to have the utmost love and admiration for each other. They ask that their privacy be respected surrounding this personal matter.”

Ryan Reynolds, born in Vancouver, Canada was Morissette’s fiance for four years. Photo above taken in July 2006, does it look like she has let herself go over the years? How do you do that to keep someone as hot as Ryan?
