The sole remaining original judge on “American Idol” has finally left his post.

Randy Jackson, who tried to quit after the end of last season (almost the same time that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler left the show and before the final Season 12 judges rounded up), has decided not to return for the upcoming season—for real this time.

According to recent entertainment news, JUSTIN BIEBER, SELENA GOMEZ, PINK and DIDDY are reportedly being eyed by producers as the next “American Idol” judges.

You’d think that with Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey‘s constant feuding and arguing, “American Idol” would be in pretty good shape in terms of viewership… but clearly, that’s not the case.

In fact, the plummeting show continues to receive abysmally poor ratings with every episode.

In recent star news, NICKI MINAJ called MARIAH CAREY “insecure” and “bitter” in a series of tweets that marks the latest chapter of their never-ending feud.

Ratings may be lower than ever for the once-popular show, but interest in the feuding female judges, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, has clearly not waned one bit—especially since they keep arguing and sniping at each other on- and off-camera!

According to entertainment news, DAVID COOK returned to “American Idol” on Thursday evening and performed his newest single, titled “Laying Me Low.”

“American Idol” is trying to improve poor ratings by adding nostalgia into the mix.

In late March, last season’s runner-up Jessica Sanchez premiered her single “Tonight” with Ne-Yo. In mid-April, the first ever winner of the show, Kelly Clarkson, did an interesting black light performance and former judge Paula Abdul also made her return on the show to surprise a contestant, just like Drake did last week.

DRAKE made a surprise appearance on “American Idol” earlier this week, entertainment news has learned.

Wednesday’s episode of “American Idol” was almost as eventful as the last, thanks to Drake.

The past few days, former judge Paula Abdul surprised a contestant and original “Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson made her return on the show. And this week, Chris Brown‘s arch rival madeshowed up for one of the contestants, Candice Glover, who openly talked about her obsession towards him and performed his song, “Find Your Love,” on the show.

PAULA ABDUL returned to “American Idol” to surprise a contestant who sang one of her songs on Thursday, according to entertainment news.

Just after Kelly Clarkson made her return on “American Idol” stage,  another unexpected—yet very familiar—guest showed up on Thursday’s “American Idol” results show

Paula Abdul, who quit the show in 2009 after she got mad at executives for offering her a much lower salary compared to her co-judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, popped in on show to surprise both the crowd and contestant Candice Glover, who sang Abdul‘s “Straight Up” song the day before.
