Some Hollywood insiders yes, and this caused a riff between Anne and Natalie, as Hathaway swooped up the leading role in Get Happy. Regardless, proving she isn’t a sore winner, Anne decided to show up at an event for Natalie Portman with some champagne.

Fashion designer Valentino looks like he’s overdoing the spray tan thing again. Valentino Garavani’s new documentary: Valentino: The Last Emperor premiere in L.A. yesterday and a lot of the A-listers came out to support Valentino including the ever so fair, Anne Hathaway. Anne Hathaway has been cast as Judy Garland in an upcoming biopic of the late actress’ life. Anne, who began as just another tween-y Princess Diary actor has really come into her own in the past 5 years, scoring plum roles and even being nominated for an Oscar this past year for her role in Rachel Getting Married. The biopic is based off the autobiography, Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland by Gerald Butler.

Anne Hathaway has said she’d love to be First Babysitter for Barack Obama’s children. Although Anne is doing extremely well as an actress these days, she wouldn’t rule out cooking dinner and putting Obama’s daughters Malia and Sasha to bed.

Angelina Jolie gave Anne Hathaway icey looks when Anne accepted her award for Best Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards last night. Anne tied with Meryl Streep—which is a MAJOR accomplishment for the actress most known for The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries. Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie didn’t look too pleased. I’m sure she didn’t even see it has an option that she wouldn’t win. (Ha.)
Slumdog Millionaire was the big winner at the VH1’s 14th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards last night; It took home the Best Picture Award. The film won a total of five awards out of six nominations. Sean Penn won Best Actor Award for Milk.
