What, she couldn’t fit into her skintight costume?

Well, not really. Not with her long, lean figure heating up the silver screen in all that shiny, leather molded to her form, complete with the latest addition to the Catwoman costume…ears!

Anne, who did a lot of research for the role, went back to as far as back as the late Eartha Kitt, who played Catwoman in the 1960′s television series of “Batman.” But what struck her most was 1940′s screen siren Hedy Lamarr, who served as the original inspiration for Batman creator, Bob Kane, for the Catwoman character, Selina Kyle.

“I know this sounds odd, but her breathing is extraordinary,”

Annie marveled of the Golden Age of Hollywood star.

“She takes these long, deep, languid breaths and exhales slowly. There’s a shot of her in [the 1933 film] Ecstasy exhaling a cigarette and I took probably five breaths during her one exhale. So I started working on my breathing a lot.”

Well, looks like Anne had a lot of lung work to do to prepare for the role, not that we’re complaining about her particular set of lungs (we totally applauded her enormous lung power in “Love, Sex and Other Drugs”).

So we guess all that’s left for us to do is to anticipate the latest installation in the “Batman” franchise to hit the screen next summer.

Celebrity news just got a hold of the latest turmoil in Tinseltown and we found out Anne and Jessica have been having a word war about…movie roles! And apparently, more than just one…

Jessica‘s sore that the wide-eyed “Princess Diaries” star’s has been grabbing all the meaty movies Jessica‘s auditioned for and claims Anne‘s been stealing her thunder and landing all those films despite Jessica having worked her shapely butt off to win those roles…first “Batman,” and now “Les Miserables.”

“I auditioned for Fantine, and I sang ‘I Dreamed a Dream.’ I didn’t get it. I would have loved it.”

Jessica complained in Elle Magazine‘s December 2011 issue.

Of course A-list Anne was having none of that.

“In truth, Anne feels she’s a true leading lady who has been nominated for Academy Awards and Golden Globes, while Jessica’s movie career doesn’t even compare,”

A source revealed to The National Enquirer.

“In her opinion, Jessica is known for her TV role on 7th Heaven and blockbuster-type movies like The A-Team that show a limited acting range. And not only does Anne feel she’s superior on-screen, she also believes that Jessica showed a lack of professionalism by even making the comparison in the first place!”

And also:

“Anne thinks Jessica had an ulterior motive by making it seem like she was stealing roles right out from under her.”

The source continued.

“She sees Jessica‘s move as premeditated, designed to make casting directors place them on the same level — and possibly to coax them into hiring her over Anne, who makes more per film and is in greater demand. Now Anne‘s ready to take this fight to the next level. Anne let Jessica know that if she does another interview with a writing, casting director or director equating the two, she wants a face-to-face meeting. And everyone’s waiting for more fur to fly.”

Wow, a catfight!

Anne started dating actor Adam Shulman right after her chaotic breakup with convicted felon Raffaello Follieri, who was charged with fraud and embezzlement in 2008 following a scandalous spectacle that eventually led to their relationship’s very public demise.

Thankfully. Anne seems to have found the right man in Adam. The actress was recently seen out and about sporting her new engagement ring, which was reportedly designed by Kwiat Heritage.

We don’t get the ears because it really seems like she’s channeling a goth version of Hello Kitty for “The Dark Knight Rises”, but the body in the suit we do like…a lot.

“I’m a vegetarian and right now, I’m living on kale and dust for the training,”

Anne admitted.

“The catsuit’s unforgiving, man.”

She should get together with Scarlett Johansson, who’d worked herself into a new shape to get into that shiny skintight silicone contraption as the Black Widow in “Iron Man 2″.

“There’s a workout hump where you’re so weak that you hate everything, everything is so painful and you look like an idiot,”

Anne complained.

“The gym where I work out, I was literally working out next to a pregnant Jessica Alba and she could do more push-ups than I could. I’ve now just started to do Bikram yoga.”

We’re not quite certain Sue Storm could bench press Anne Hathaway at her present level of fitness and state of “oohmm”, but aside from the ears, we’re really loving Anne in that catwoman suit...

“Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy recently confirmed that Anne, who has previously expressed her interest in being on the show, is going to be on “Glee.” He revealed:

“I’m meeting with Anne in the next couple weeks… We’re not going to do guest stars at all the first half of the season, but I would love to work with her, and she supposedly has the whole thing mapped out.”

Ryan added:

“I’m curious as to what she wants to do. I love her. I think she’s great.”

Apparently, Anne approached Ryan back in January about a possible guest starring stint on the hit FOX show—she even had it all planned out! According to reports, Anne suggested that she could be “Kurt’s long-lost aunt, his mother’s sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality.”

However, a few months after the initial discussion, Anne never heard from Ryan again, so in August the “One Day” star said:

“Ryan Murphy, I’m calling you out: I wanna be on ‘Glee’. I’ve got my songs ready to go.”

Anne was absolutely regal in a white lace Alexander McQueen dress, which she accessorized with brown peep-toe pumps, a white clutch with gold detail, and jewelry by Tiffany & Co.

The gorgeous actress topped off the look with a simple, side-swept hairstyle, muted eye makeup, and pink lips.

Anne may have once been named “Best Dressed” celebrity by Vanity Fair, but apparently she’s never heard of the fashion rule that says “never mix prints with stripes”—because that’s exactly what she did yesterday! The “One Day” actress was spotted strolling into the NBC studios wearing an eyesore of an outfit—a red and white striped sleeveless top with red and blue geometric print pants.

Ugh.

Of course we’re fully aware that Anne is always adorable, no matter what she wears. She can probably get away with wearing a dirty rice sack if she wanted to… but that’s just not the point! You should never, ever, EVER mix prints with stripes! Ever!

Okay, calming down now. What do you guys think of Anne’s outfit?

Anne, who stars in the romantic film ‘One Day’ alongside British actor Jim Sturgess, told the funny story when she hit the red carpet premiere of their movie in New York. She shared:

“I decided to moon Jim one take… He was running towards me, and the whole crew was behind me so I thought, if I turn around none of the crew will see it and only Jim… so I did it.”

Unfortunately, Anne didn’t realize (until it was too late) that she had another audience apart from Jim and the crew. She added:

“I was feeling really good about myself until I realized we were shooting on a street in Scotland and every single resident of the building that we were shooting in front of was filming us!”

When the reporter asked her why the videos and pictures of her bare butt weren’t floating around all over the Internet, Anne joked:

“Because the Scots are nice… They have manners and they’re discreet! I’m so grateful!”

She’s lucky. If she was in the States, that video would have been passed around in a heartbeat! But then again, Anne‘s no stranger to scandalous paparazzi shots of her circulating all over the World Wide Web!

Celebrity news have quoted the naysayers reactions as “underwhelming”, “unflattering”, “weak”, “cheap-looking”, and even “where’s the rest of her costume?”

When one recalls the slinky skin-tight black patent leather threads worn by the touchingly vulnerable but gloriously feral Michelle Pfeiffer version, and the sensually nubile but dismally pathetic Halle Berry version, one does wonder how this generation’s Selina Kyle will fare with Anne Hathaway stuffed inside. Still Anne remains upbeat:

If you didn’t like the photo, you only see about a tenth of what the suit can do. And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste.”

So we’re guessing there’s more to the costume than just plain black leather and 3D goggles. And of course, Anne, who brings a new breed of catwoman to the big screen. Let’s take a look, shall we…

Apparently, to Anne, it doesn’t.

Why? Because, before Adam, Anne was going out with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri, who is now infamously known for his extremely shocking fraud scandal back in 2008. Definitely not mellow and definitely not boring, but… definitely a criminal.

Now that she’s with Adam, Anne says:

“So far, it’s worked out great.”

The actress admits that, before, she had a tendency to get caught up in the intensity of romance. She adds:

“Which has its wonderful side, of course…but also it was exhausting, and sometimes it would freak me out. Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.”

Anne doesn’t really like to talk about her ex, Raffaello, with whom she shared a four-year relationship with prior to the scandal. She broke things off with him, as reported by celebrity gossip websites everywhere,  just after he was arrested for perpetrating what is now known as the “Vati-Con” scandal.

Hathaway had on a purplish blue beaded dress and Gladiator style high heels on the blue carpet but those glasses just don’t really do it.

The Devil Wears Prada starlet voices the character of independent Jewel in the animation which is about a nerdy macaw that leaves the comfort of his cage in Minnesota and heads to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 3D animation, from the makers of Ice Age, also starring Jesse Eisenberg, Jamie Foxx, Will.i.am and George Lopez.

Those close to Anne say she’s furious that he didn’t hold up his end of the hosting duties better.

“She had to provide all the energy — he was just phoning it in,” says a second insider. “James seemed in his own little world,” during the Oscar telecast, says another source. “Producers were pissed…He went immediately back to NYC because he was pissed about how the show went.”

This honestly makes sense. James Franco was like a wet dishrag during the ceremony – a cardboard cut out could have sufficed.

Hathaway on the other hand was paid $750,000 to wear Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Must be nice, right?

Wow. Just wow. Doesn’t that mid-six figure range seem like A LOT of money to wear jewelry from established brands? Just think how much more productive our world would be if Tiffany and Louis Vuitton donated all that cash to charity.

Hathaway will take on the role of Catwoman also known as Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy will play Batman villain Bane, who famously broke the Dark Knight’s back in the 90s comics. Hardy was seen in the big box officer hitter ”Inception” starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, the movie was written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Nolan will also be directing the upcoming Batman sequel.

Just that you know Anne has been nominated for an Oscar for her role in “Rachel at the Wedding.”

“It was her idea, and [with] someone like her, it’s sort of hard to say no!” Brad Falchuck, the show’s producer told Usmagazine  at Sunday’s Fox Golden Globes after party. “We don’t generally get excited about guest stars just for the sake of guest stars, but when you have someone like Gwyneth [Paltrow] or Anne Hathaway, where you can say ‘They are amazing,’…they are big gifts to you.”

Chris Colfer, who took home a Golden Globe for his work as Kurt Hummel is excited.

“Anne Hathaway lesbian — that sentence is awesome!” he tells Us after his win. “I am very much looking forward to that.”

Friends close to the star say she’s hurt and angry about the short:

“Katie is feeling really hurt and less than thrilled about Anne,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “Katie said she can take a joke but she thinks Anne’s back-pedaling is ridiculous. Katie and Tom, who’s terrific at impersonations, have now cooked up a plan to get revenge against Anne.”

Oscar producers have just announced that “James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons— fresh, exciting and multi-talented. We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27. We are completely thrilled that James and Anne will be joining forces with our brilliant creative team to do just that.”

A big change from last year’s Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. I guess it’s good to see younger A-listers serving the big hosting duties for a change! Wow! 2010 is almost over!

Jake Gyllenhaal, 29, plays Jamie Randall, a cocky pharmaceutical salesman who falls for an emotionally guarded young Parkinson’s patient named Maggie Murdock (Anne Hathaway). In the R-rated film out Nov. 24, the duo, who played husband and wife in 2005’s Brokeback Mountain, share several intense sex scenes and bravely reveal nearly every inch of their enviably toned bodies.

Entertainment Weekly: When you first read this script, were you at all scared to take it on?

Gyllenhaal: I immediately fell in love from the first 10 pages, and by the end I was weeping. It felt like this weird sense of fate. I went to Ed (Ed Zwick – the director) and basically begged him. I was like, “This part was written for me.”

Hathaway: My reaction wasn’t as clearcut as Jake’s. I remember thinking, “What potential.”

Looks to be a very sexy movie. Do you think Taylor Swift would like to watch it? Jake didn’t even take her to the movie premiere because he didn’t want her to see him all naked. That means she hasn’t seen him butt naked yet? Or perhaps he doesn’t want her to see him getting naked with another woman?

“The timing has worked out pretty much in my favor, hasn’t it?!” she laughed. “I was so invisible in high school. I don’t think I was unpopular because I don’t think I registered enough to matter. I was really interested in the arts and that was kind of my passion so if anybody knew who I was that was what they knew me for. It will be nice to go back. I’m curious to see how everybody is doing.”

She told the November issue of American Vogue:

“This movie certainly has a lot of nerve,” she says, arching an eyebrow. “Oy. I hope that audiences are OK with all the nerve.These are people who have no trouble taking their clothes off—in a way, their bodies are their currency,” she explains. “But they’re terrified of exposing their vulnerability, of becoming emotionally naked. I was a wreck from start to finish,” she admits. “I think I cried every single day. I had to lean so much more heavily on everyone around me than I’m used to. I’m used to pulling my own weight. But I totally fell apart.”
