Known as the “curvier” Olsen sister, and with good reason, Elizabeth, fondly known as Lizzie to her family, has stirred an Oscar buzz with her critically acclaimed performance in her Hollywood debut, “Martha Marci May Marlene,” where she plays a young rape victim who escapes a cult and develops a multiple personality disorder to cope with reality…

“It’s very clear that I’m the younger sister,”

Elizabeth admits ruefully.

“My whole life they’ve been like women, while I’ve been trying to be a woman but still a kid.”

Because of her famous sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley, who’d started their careers as toddlers on television’s “Full House,” graduated to teen stars, then segued from movies to become successful fashion designers in their own right, Elizabeth has been treated oddly almost all of her life.

It’s driven her to take acting even more seriously, and with rumors buzzing around Tinseltown that she’s on the shortlist for an Oscar, she’s apparently halfway to achieving her goal.

“I’ve always had a complex about being taken seriously,”

Elizabeth says.

“I never wanted anyone to think that I would use my family name to get me anywhere.”

We take Elizabeth seriously, alright. She’ll be appearing in “Silent House” come March next year, and you can bet she’ll give an Oscar-worthy performance there, too…

Mary-Kate and Ashley have always been considered icons in the fashion world. Prior to their foray into fashion designing, Mary-Kate and Ashley gained recognition as Hollywood fashionistas when they were just freshmen at New York University back in 2004. The twins told Vogue magazine:

“We were called eccentric and eclectic… But we were just two California girls trying to dress for the New York winter.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley, who both earned their first CFDA nomination this year, bested other stylish sisters for the top spot on Vogue’s Best Dressed list. Other celebrity siblings who made the cut were Dakota and Elle Fanning, Beyonce and Solange Knowles, and even British sisters Kate and Pippa Middleton.

She doesn’t seem to be his type at all, but hey, maybe he’s trying something new? Insiders have told UsWeekly they’ve attended several Broadway shows together, a polo match and a Saturday Night Live afterparty.

This special “source” didn’t have too much to tell the magazine, however.

“They are hooking up. They’re really trying to keep it on the down-low. [Ashley is] aware of Justin’s reputation with women, but…They’re in the same head space.”

The same “head space”? Is that fancy hook-up talk? Well, whatever works!

Olsen began her career at the age of nine months, when she and Mary-Kate, her identical twin, shared the role of Michelle Tanner on the top-rated TV show Full House in 1987.

In 2004, both Ashley and Mary-Kate became CEOs of their own company, Dualstar. In 2011, this company is selling in over 3,000 stores in America and 5,300 stores worldwide. Their success has been on Forbes The Celebrity 100 list since 2002, By 2007 Forbes ranked the twins as the eleventh-richest women in the entertainment industry, with an estimated net worth of $100 million together.

In 2006, to gain credibility in the fashion industry, after their association with Wal-Mart supposedly damaged their reputations, they began an association with the upscale fashion line Badgley Mischka. Also, in 2010 the twins released a women’s clothing line for JC Penney called Olsenboye. Is your head spinning from all the clothing lines and companies that they own, yet?

As for her love life, Ashley ended her romantic relationship with actor Justin Bartha in March 2011. The couple had been a couple since 2008. Their split was amicable, and there were no other love interests involved, they both stated.

We were kids, I was about 15 and so were they … I saw how awkward socially they were with large groups of people because they had been famous their whole lives and looked at their whole lives and I didn’t understand why anyone would be like that. I had no understanding about why you would shut down and be afraid and have phobias, but as it happens to you you sort of develop them and become crazy.”

Sooooo, ten years ago she met them and formed this opinion? Heck, it was true ten years ago and you know people can’t change….yeah, whatever. I wonder if the twins will call Megan out on this BS. Or do you think the twins are awkward and crazy?

Somehow Brit Brit Spears finds herself entwined in this interview, too. Ashley says she’s shocked she didn’t turn into a mini-Spears 2.0.

“I look at Britney, and I’m surprised I didn’t end up like her. Growing up,] it was almost like I was in the Army,” she laments to Marie Claire. “School, work, homework, fly to New York, get in at 2 in the morning, do a morning show at 5 a.m., then another one at 7, then a radio interview at 10.”

That sounds uber-unhealthy for a kid. Jeez, and we curse our parents for making us join Girl Scouts. Guess we had it pretty good.

Both twins – if you can tell them apart – wear fur, carry fur bags and use fur in their fashion lines.  PETA hasn’t been able to sway them lately.  From The Olsen Files:

Sharon Stone and the Olsen twins have had their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame defaced by anti-fur protesters. This is not the first time these celebrities have come under fire for wearing fur, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) members are constantly holding protests outside signings and public appearances in a bid to rid fur from fashion.

Do you think PETA is right to go after them?  The Olsen’s had fur hags scribbled on their star, while Sharon had Old fur hag scribbled on hers.  Fair?

No dice, though. Mary-Kate was “horrified” by the request and prefers her A-cups.

She told Ashley no way! Mary-Kate hates being told what to do and how to look by Ashley. It drives her nuts. Anyway, she’s into that flat look and thinks clothes look better with less cleavage, so she’d rather be smaller and more stylish.”

Bravo MK! You rock those bee stings and old lady garb. It’s HAWT. Shame on you Ashley—everyone knows trolls don’t have big titties.

They created a set of costumes for Halloween to prove their point.  And they named the costumes the Trollsen Twins, complete with their own Trollsen webpage.  There’s Trashley and Hairy Kate, and you can download a mask and print it out. 

A couple of PeTa fans wore the costumes out at the book signing of the twins in NYC yesterday.  The Trollsens Olsen sisters were not happy.

It seems that the comediens who did the cooking cooked up as much Olsen dishes as they did Saget.  And Saget didn’t like it one bit, because most of the jokes were over the top.  John Stamos was the emcee and had a few jokes of his own, but he even admitted a bunch of the rest were … hardcore.

Isn’t that what these roasts do – they push the comedic edge?  But I guess when you focus on co-stars and there is sexual connotation, things get out of hand.  The roast will air on TV sometime later this month…I guess we’ll have to check it out for ourselves.

And does he know that those cute little twins from Full House grew up to be trolls?

Hefner, the 81-year-old men’s magazine mogul who originally asked the Olsen twins to model for him when they turned 18 three years ago – but was turned down – hopes the girls will accept his invitation to appear in a special June edition of Playboy to mark the twins’ 22nd birthday.

 A source said: “Hugh thinks the twins are every young man’s fantasy. But it might not be that easy getting them agree to pose for Playboy. They’re all about high-end fashion these days. They want to do Vogue.” -Showbiz Spy

I normally think when you are this short petite (like myself), you won’t wear a maxi dress! It just doesn’t compliment you. They look great in minis, shorts, dresses just about anything but maxis. I should know because I’m very petite myself.

Ashley Olsen is the one with the long max dress & Mary Kate Olsen is the one with the 10 inches heels –6? Aren’t they the Victoria Beckham’s heels? (The Victoria Shoe by Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli.) They’re surely gorgeous.

Did  you know the Olsen twins started acting before they even could walk? The twins started their acting careers on the TV series Full House. They were hired at the age of six months and filming started when they were nine months old. For those who were born earlier enough, the show was widely popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The 20-year-old Olsen twins, who rose to fame in ABC sitcom ‘Full House’, pocketed $40 million last year from their retail empire, making them the richest under-21s in showbiz.  

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, 17, who earned an estimated 13 million for his lead role in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which is due out later this year, came second.

Lindsay Lohan, 20, rounded off the top three with earnings of $6 million last year. Her position comes in spite of a troubled 12 months in which she was castigated for her unprofessional behavior on the set of Georgia Rule and checked into rehab for alcoholism.

Oscar-nominated actress Dakota Fanning, 13, claimed fourth place with $4 million.

Also making the top ten was 16-year-old singer Joanna ‘JoJo’ Levesque, who pocketed $1 million.
