Betty White has more time in front of a TV camera that anyone in history. She has spiced up sitcoms, game and variety shows since the early days of TV. With her typical charm, she often jokes that she started out in “silent television.” Hmmm, not far from actuality. White has been performing professionally for now over 60 years.
Betty White celebrated her 89th birthday with a party at Le Cirque in New York City on January 18, 2011, her actual big day was Monday. A few friends from her TV show “Hot in Cleveland” along with other familiar faces from her Hollywood life joined Betty to bring on another year.
Don’t we all love Betty, she’s so darn cute! If I ever get to live to that age and I can be as funny as Betty, I’d feel so blessed, wouldn’t you?

Betty White talked to reporters about Rue McClanhan’s death today. Rue McClanahan – notorious for her role as Golden Girls‘ man-eater Blanche Devereaux — died this morning in a New York hospital after complications from a stroke. Betty (who played airhead Rose Nylund) co-starred with Rue from 1985-1992 on the hit series.
