Guess this is why Brown never reacted to his daughter Bobbi Kristina’s controversially “incestuous” relationship—according to her grandmother, Cissy Houston—with her “adopted” sibling, Nick Gordon… he was too busy partying.

According to reports, Whitney Houston’s former hubby was pulled over in Reseda, California earlier today for talking on his cell phone while driving. However, the cops soon found out that Brown was actually drunk, with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.

Brown was immediately arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the Van Nuys jail.

He was bailed out after about two hours.

And it’s all because she doesn’t want to be associated with her father, BOBBY BROWN.

Bobbi Kristina, who was reportedly placed on suicide watch following her mother’s shocking death, has decided to change her name to just Kristina Houston, in an effort to remove any connection (at least by name) to her father, Bobby Brown.

Celebrity gossip websites have learned that Bobbi Kristina has wanted to change her name for years (ever since her parents broke up), and she would have done it sooner, but Whitney wouldn’t let her.

However, now that her mother’s gone, Bobbi Kristina reportedly feels free to go ahead with her original plan of changing her name to Kristina Houston.

TMZ reports:

“Bobbi has made the decision with a sober mind and is in a “better place” than she’s been in a while.”

Star news reveal new details about Whitney Houston‘s will, stating that there are secondary beneficiaries. Whitney Houston‘s will has already been validated and has revealed in recent reports that Whitney‘s daughter Bobbi Kristina is the sole beneficiary, making her the only person who will inherit all of her mother’s worldly possessions from before her untimely passing. That is, while she remains alive and healthy until age 30 when she can finally have her hands on all the rest of her mother’s money.

It was revealed that if Bobbi Kristina were to pass away, Whitney‘s ex-husband Bobby Brown and several other relatives were to split up the assets among themselves, in any way that they thought was “proper.” If they never reach an agreement as to how they are to split the singer’s goods, the will states that all her stuff be sold so they can divide it in cash form. However, the jewelry will only end up going to her mother, Cissy, and to no one else.

Now who bets that her mother Cissy will do everything that she can to keep her daughter’s fortune away from Bobby? Looks like the drama here has just started, even when Whitney is no longer here to join them. Here’s to hoping that nothing bad happens to young Bobbi Kristina!

Well isn’t it about time?

News hit the press last week that Bobby Brown didn’t get to do any more to bid his late wife goodbye than to kiss her casket as he and his 9 other children left the funeral after security moved them three times. His entourage did not include his only child with Houston, Bobbi Brown, who didn’t even realize that her father left as she was obviously still emotionally distraught and troubled from her mother’s sudden passing.

According to the Whitney’s attorney:

“We had a number of discussions prior to the service and a very clear understanding as to exactly what was supposed to take place. Bobby was always invited to sit with the family at the outset. This was a very full, packed congregation…and there literally wasn’t a seat available. So this was not about anything other than practical space considerations.”

No matter how discreetly or respectfully the security tried to remind him about where his other children were supposed to be seated, Bobby obviously took it as an offense.

“’Bobby you’re welcome to stay here but we need to ask the three children to go sit with their uncle given space limitations.’ That was the deal and there shouldn’t have been any problem at that point,”

He adds.

The attorney justified Bobby’s actions for the press with his closing statement:

“It had to be a difficult time for him. None of us exercise our best judgment when we’re under that kind of emotional strain. So I certainly don’t stand in judgment of him.”

We should agree. But still, the last thing that the late diva and her family would’ve needed was a conflict that would generate another surge of questions from the media and fans. The least that Bobby Brown could’ve done was to just suck it up and handled the situation in a less scandalous manner in order to keep the funeral peaceful.

Too late now.

Whitney and Bobby Brown‘s only child sat in the front pew for her mother’s funeral and fortunately wasn’t aware of the controversy involving where her father Bobby Brown and his “family” would be seated. Having been twice rushed to the emergency room following Whitney Houston‘s death, the 18-year-old was in a fragile emotional state and was comforted by her grandmother during Whitney‘s “going home” service in Newark, New Jersey…

Which meant that neither Bobbi Kristina or Whitney‘s mother, Cissy Houston, witnessed the unfortunate incident going on two rows behind them where Bobby Brown and his entourage of nine people were moved three times before they finally left the church.

To detract from the untoward incident, Whitney‘s producer and mentor, Clive Davis spoke directly to Bobbi Kristina during his poignant remarks…

“Always be proud of your mother, she loved you so very much. She defined not only pure talent, but true heart and soul as well,”

Davis said during the service.

“She will forever be looking over you and will never let go of your hand.”

What’s surprising is no one thought to defend Bobby Brown‘s right to be there, or to be seated among the mourners, although given the situation, seating arrangements could’ve been handled better at the invite-only memorial service.

Bobby, who was very distraught when he learned of Whitney‘s shocking, untimely death, was reportedly asked to leave her funeral because of a seating dispute with the organizers, which stemmed from the fact that Bobby was only allowed two guests… and he brought nine.

Brown claims, however, that he and his nine companions—who were actually his children—had all been invited to the funeral, and that the disagreement actually started because they were asked to change seats multiple times, which of course did not sit well with the singer.

According to TMZ’s sources, Bobby also became upset because he wanted to sit with his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but was not allowed.

Brown later issued a statement about the incident, which read:

“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.

I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene.”

The R&B singer took to the stage with the New Edition at Landers Center, just a few moments after receiving the news of Houston‘s death, and despite having had a troubled marriage with the multi-Grammy awardee, peppered by domestic abuse, drug co-dependency, and trouble with the law, he grieved for Whitney while continuing to profess his love for her…

“First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all,”

Brown told the audience.

“Second, I would like to say, ‘I love you Whitney.’ The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage tonight.”

And while Brown didn’t come onstage until the second song, “Hit Me Off,” which he performed enthusiastically, he broke down while singing his solo hit, “Tenderoni,” and had to ask the audience to help sing the song with him as he cried.

Brown and Houston were married from 1992 to 2007, and have an 18-year-old daughter together, Bobbi Kristina Brown. They’d also collaborated professionally on the 1993 hit, “Something In Common”…

Whitney is known for her stint in rehab and Bobby, well, Bobby has had lots of issues in the past.

The National Enquirer is set to publish a big spread in the upcoming issue featuring Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, 17, doing lines of cocaine. The website Hello Beautiful has a preview of that issue, which is out this week.

If this is true, then it is really sad. Hopefully Whitney and Bobby can step in and get Bobbi straightened out before it is too late. Drugs aren’t pretty and it is too bad she was a witness to it at a young age.

Bobby hints his marriage to Whitney was a cover for her. He did it for love – of course! – but she didn’t. Via Crazy Days and Nights:

“The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn’t go too well with her image…In Whitney’s situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not.”

Hmmmmm, whether it was true or not. So, Bobby doesn’t come right out and say it, we’re supposed to read between the lines and interpret if he means she is or not. Would you really care if Whitney was bi or not? Nope, as long as she can still sing.

So what did Bobby Brown have to say about all this? Any fighting words? He told VH-1 (via OK!):

“I think we corrupted each other. I don’t think she hurt me or I hurt her. I just think we had a 14-year marriage that had its ups and downs and not many people understood it…I used an awful lot [of cocaine] you know and I can’t take that back. It’s a powerful drug. I think I was bored. I had just gotten married and things weren’t right. Unfortunately, I turned to alcohol and drugs.”

Doesn’t sound too bad, no?

Whitney’s rep told the AP vis USWeekly that the rekindling is a “complete fabrication.” The courts very wisely gave Whitney custody of Bobby Kristina.

As far as his 15-year marriage to Houston is concerned, it “was doomed from the very beginning. Within the first year we separated, with several more to follow,” Brown writes. “I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married . . . I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.” – Page Six
