First Pictures of Bronx Mowgli Wentz Go For Free

The first pictures of Bronx Mowgli Wentz go online for free! Ashlee and Pete Wentz decided to use a website and put up a holiday greeting picture of the baby. No magazine covers or millions of dollars. Has the recession affected the hot celebrity baby picture market too?

Ashlee and Pete pose with Bronx and posted the greeting on Friendsorenemies. Pete is shown kissing baby’s head. Baby is wrapped up in a blanket, so technically, we can’t see a whole lot of him anyway.

Under the picture it reads:

We decided to share the best gift we could ever receive with you: Bronx Mowgli Wentz. We couldn’t be happier. And in the spirit of the holidays, we’d like to encourage you to give on your own. Below is a list of worthwhile charities in need of your support:

Ashlee and Pete Simpson Wentz Take Bronx Mowgli to Texas

Ashlee and Pete Simpson Wentz are taking little Bronx Mowgli down to Texas for his first Christmas. Awww, isn’t that sweet! Except for the Wentz clan in Chicago isn’t too happy about it.

Sources tell E! News that Jessica and Dallas Cowboys QB boyfriend Tony Romo and Ashlee and hubby Pete Wentz plan to celebrate Christmas at the Waco, Texas, home of their maternal grandmother.

“This Christmas is a big deal and the whole family wants to be together for baby Bronx’s first Christmas,” a Simpson family friend tells us.

Oh yeah. Jessica and Tony are there too. It was almost going to be a fun time. Doesn’t he need to practice football or something? And Ashlee went back to her blonde hair color from a year ago. I liked her as red…it seemed to fit better. What do you think?

Pete Wentz Says He Doesn’t Want to Sell Pictures of Bronx

Pete Wentz took to his mighty blog claiming he and wife Ashlee Simpson don’t want to sell pictures of Bronx Mowgli to the tabloids—not the other way around as was reported earlier this week. (muffled laughter) Suuuuure, Pete! He and Ashlee are claiming they think it’s unfair to cast the media’s glare on Bronx. They’re using the tired and true celebrity we-want-our-child-to-have-a-normal-life blah blah. How convenient.

About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered
mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him. We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, “there is a bounty on our heads” for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible.”

Awwww. How noble. Expect some sort of People magazine Wentz family album to appear in early ’09. Trust.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are having a very hard time selling pictures of Bronx Mowgli to the tabloids. It’s hard to believe, but none of the biggie magazines are interested in shelling out a six-figure plus sum for the Pete-Ashlee hybrid.

Page Six reported today:

Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them. Covers of them tend not to sell well.”

This is precisely what bugs me about the Simpson ladies. Why must every life event turn into an USWeekly/People/OK!/InTouch exclusive complete with schmoopy PR-induced interview?

Maybe if they bait OK! (they seem the trashiest out of the biggies) with snapshots of Bronx with flat-ironed black hair, eyeliner, in faux-goth baby booties from Hot Topic, they’ll bite. These two arteests need to think outside the box and make their baby pictures unique. Just like them (HA!).

Pete Wentz says his son is like Christopher Columbus. Isn’t it a little early for his greatness – I mean, he’s only three weeks old! Pete talks about watching Bronx and compares him to the great discoverer.

Pete tells People Magazine:

“Every time I see my son, it looks like he’s landing on the moon and discovering new rocks and stuff. I mean, every time he looks at his hand, it’s like he’s Christopher Columbus making it across the ocean. It’s pretty awesome.”

Ugh. How soon before Fall Out Boy is selling lullabies? Pete seems to be one of those parents that goes gaga and everything their baby does is miraculous.

Pete Wentz Admits Bronx Was A Mistake. Whoops.

Pete Wentz admitted in a recent interview that he and Ashlee Simpson’s son Bronx Mowgli was a “happy mistake.” In addition, Pete spills the beans about his “drugstore cowboy” past, sort-of suicide attempt and how meeting his “soul mate” Ashlee helped him clean up a lot of his dicey, adolescent behaviors. He also says Jay-Z is his role model. Interesting.

He told Details magazine:

Upon hearing the new Ashlee was pregnant when he was on tour with Fall Out Boy in Chile:

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this might be the worst possible time to have this conversation…I was definitely scared, just thinking, This is something that’s going to exist for the rest of your life and you can’t fuck it up. It was a happy accident. But I think that certain things happen for a reason in your life, and maybe it was time to put the wild child in a cage.”

On his “drugstore cowboy” days:

One chilly day in February 2005, Wentz sat in a car in a Best Buy parking lot outside Chicago and swallowed a handful of Ativan. He then began woozily contacting friends and family members, who persuaded him to drive to the nearest emergency room. He eventually wrote about the incident in the song ”Hum Hallelujah.” Then, about a year ago, he quit everything except for the sleep aids cold turkey. “Dude, after Heath Ledger,” he says, “I was just like, Man, this is not going to end up good.”

Not sure if you gentle readers knew this or not, but Pete Wentz took naked pictures of himself. Yeah, don’t try to visualize it. The photos made there way onto the net and he affectionatly refers it it as “Penisgate.” Ugh. I’ll leave you on that delightful note.

Bronx Residents Don’t Think Bronx Is A Good Baby Name

Only 20% of Bronx residents think Bronx is a good baby name. In fact, a whopping 58% who live in the borough think Bronx should be limited to the New York City area synonymous with the 6 train and underground hip-hop, and left off a birth certificate completely.

Page Six caught wind of the area’s local News 12 online survey, which asked residents what they thought. Sadly, Ashlee and Pete didn’t win any hardcore street cred with what they chose to name their son. Better luck next time?

Pete Wentz explains the odd baby name he and Ashlee gave to their baby boy. But can you explain? I mean, Bronx Mowgli? It’s even a bit more odd than I was thinking they’d use…but then again, maybe it’s not so bad.

Pete says this to NME of the name:

“…the pair thought about the name Bronx for a while, adding the name Mowgli because he and his wife are fans of ‘The Jungle Book’.

“We came up with the idea Bronx, we’d been throwing it back and forth a while ago,” Wentz said “[and] ‘The Jungle Book’ is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s really cool.”

What do you think about the name? Is it really cool or just another celebrity trying to make news? I think the bonding part is neat, but when you are naming a dog or a cat, not your baby!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby, Peter Wentz welcomed baby boy on Thursday night; Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long as reports by People magazine. Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a spokesperson tells the magazine.

Ok? Bronx Mowgli – WTH?? I am so glad, well money aside that I am not a celebrity kid – I mean the kind of names they give to their kids: Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter is called Apple; Tom Cruise’s adorable little toddler, Suri; Katie Price’s daughter, Princess Tiaamii; Just to name a few. So glad my dad didn’t decide to name me Orange, Apple or Banana, amen! I would have for sure changed it but enduring it throughout my childhood, that’s heavy!
