Only 20% of Bronx residents think Bronx is a good baby name. In fact, a whopping 58% who live in the borough think Bronx should be limited to the New York City area synonymous with the 6 train and underground hip-hop, and left off a birth certificate completely.
Pete Wentz explains the odd baby name he and Ashlee gave to their baby boy. But can you explain? I mean, Bronx Mowgli? It’s even a bit more odd than I was thinking they’d use…but then again, maybe it’s not so bad.

Pete says this to NME of the name:
“…the pair thought about the name Bronx for a while, adding the name Mowgli because he and his wife are fans of ‘The Jungle Book’.
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and hubby, Peter Wentz welcomed baby boy on Thursday night; Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long as reports by People magazine. Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a spokesperson tells the magazine.
