Late last year, Brooke was arrested in Aspen, Colorado for cocaine possession, and Charlie Sheen had to bail her out of jail. She promptly checked herself into rehab from out-of-state, perhaps in a bid not to lose custody of her sons. But out of the blue, Brooke says she’s clocking in for a longer stint at the treatment center, and has even quit smoking in an effort at detoxification…

Hmmm…wonder what the huge draw for Brooke at the rehab center is.

“This is a dramatic turn of events for Brooke as this is the first time she has ever voluntarily decided to stay in rehab. This program she is in is working, and Brooke is getting sober for herself, and that is the first time she has ever said that. In the past, family, friends have forced her into rehab, but not this time. Brooke is taking an active role in her sobriety,”

a source revealed to RadarOnline of Brooke‘s decision to extend her stay in rehab beyond the requisite 30 days.

“Brooke quit smoking on her own, she doesn’t want to do anything unhealthy to herself anymore. Her treatment team is so impressed with her accomplishments. Brooke has said instead of smoking cigarette’s, she will take vitamins!”

The source continued. And we’re talking about a 10-year chain-smoker here.

Brooke Mueller is expected to stay in rehab for another month, and somewhere in Hollywood, a newly lucid Charlie Sheen is heaving a great sigh of relief…

With them was Denise‘s adopted daughter, Eloise, and they appeared to be having so much family fun in the sand and sun. Looks like Charlie‘s trying to make up for lost time…after that lost period he spent lost in the muddle of his own meltdown…

Charlie posted both on Twitter and Whosay, with photos of the whole family sporting ear-to-ear grins.

“What’s better than a modern family vacation!?! love spending winter break w/ @denise_richards & my kids!”

In fact, Charlie even rose at dawn to go fishing, hauling in what looked like a modest-looking halibut at the end of his line.

“6:30am Hemingway would be proud…”

Charlie enthused.

“I think the great DiMaggio would be proud of me today.” Hell… I’m proud of me…”

And we’d all be proud of Charlie if his family vacation turns out as uneventful as he’s hoping it to be.

Next stop: spending part of Christmas with twins, Bob and Max visiting law-breaking ex Brooke Mueller…

And here we thought she was finally getting better…  didn’t ex-hubby Charlie Sheen graciously pay for her to get treated by his own team of doctors after he found out that she had signed up for an extreme, almost life-threatening rehab treatment in Mexico? What happened?

Well, obviously Charlie’s team of doctors failed—it’s either that or Brooke bailed on her treatment—because the former Mrs. Charlie Sheen was arrested on Friday in Aspen, Colorado and booked for “assault and possession of cocaine.”

Brooke was released from the Pitkin County Jail on Saturday morning after posting $11,000 bail.

A friend of Brooke tells RadarOnline.com:

“This arrest is no surprise to anyone… Not her friends and not her family. Brooke‘s an addict. She’s not serious about getting sober or getting help. If her kids aren’t enough of a motivation than (sic) what is?”

Jeez, Brooke. Sober up! Do it for your kids!

Maybe Brooke doesn’t have a nanny, and taking care of two rambunctious toddlers can take such a toll on anyone that they forget to wear a bra to a children’s party. On the other hand, maybe the twins are indeed still nursing and Brooke wanted the convenience of merely lifting her top so they could each latch on for lunch…

In any case, Brooke seems to be oblivious to stares and flashing cameras directed her way at the 18th Annual Dream Halloween Event in Santa Monica, an event held for the benefit of Children Affected by AIDS Foundation sponsored by Mattel and Toys R Us.

The only saving grace in her revealing “costume” was the fact that it’s dark, mossy green color did help  to mask her high beam headlights a little, and she at least paired the top with a more modest pair of jeans.

Take out this photo 10 years from now, and the embarrassed twins will wish they’d have at least covered their mom’s mammaries with their hands.

TMZ has learned that Charlie is moving Denise into a house that he purchased from film producer Mike Medavoy, which is only six houses down from his own home.

According to sources, Charlie and Denise have been getting along really well—but probably not as well as him and his other ex-wife, Brooke Mueller—and this newfound peace has allowed Charlie to convince Denise to move into his neighborhood so that he can spend more time with their two daughters, Sam and Lola.

Meanwhile, Charlie is also planning on purchasing another house in the neighborhood for Brooke and their twins.

We know he just wants to be closer to his children, but why does he need to buy houses for both his former wives?

Friends who go on a romantic vacation in Mexico together? Uh-huh. Sure.

Lately, Charlie and Brooke have been acting like they’re back together—or at least trying to get there—but the Sheen insists that there will be no “love is sweeter the second time around” for them. He tells TMZ:

“[We’re] good friends trying to be great parents.”

As previously reported, Charlie took his ex-wife to Mexico as a reward for being a good mother and for doing well in rehab (which he also paid for). And they didn’t bring the kids—sounds like a second honeymoon, right?

However, no matter how sweet they seem to be nowadays, Charlie says that he and Brooke are not getting back together. He shares:

“[Brooke and I are] working on mending the bridges, replanting scorched earth. The goal is harmony.”

Oh come on, Charlie. We highly doubt that you’re just friends. Especially if you and Brooke are in Mexico… alone… with no kids or porn stars around…

In what seems to be another step toward reconciliation, Charlie and Brooke jetted off to Mexico for a little R&R. The former couple reportedly hopped on a private plane on Friday afternoon and arrived in the land of sombreros and enchiladas a few hours ago.

So why the trip? Well, remember when Charlie decided that he was going to pay for Brooke’s rehab treatment? Apparently, she’s been doing really well, and the former “Two and a Half Men” actor wants to reward her for it. He tells TMZ:

“[Brooke has been] busting her ass with the boys, and [she's] more sober and healthy than I’ve ever seen her.”

That’s awesome news. We hope she stays that way, and we hope this will mark the end of Charlie’s porn star habit!

Charlie and Brooke spent some time together with their kids this weekend, and they definitely looked happy—like two smiling, happy parents who never even split up.

Seriously, these two are getting weirder by the minute. Didn’t Charlie tell Brooke just a few months a go that he was going to “cut [her] head off, put it in a box, and send it to [her] mom?” And didn’t celebrity gossip websites report about the fact that Charlie trashed Brooke behind her back to those adorable little boys of theirs?

Oh well. It seems all is forgiven and forgotten. The happy foursome enjoyed a nice day together at Charlie’s Hollywood Hills mansion, while Brooke was taking a short break from rehab.

Charlie and Brooke reportedly spent the day playing with their twins, Bob and Max, and watching them eat loads of candy.

The former couple really wants to mend their relationship and be better parents to their kids, which is why they are trying to put all the bad stuff behind them. Also, according to reports, Charlie will be moving Brooke to a house near his own after her rehab program so that they could spend more time together as one big, happy family.

“Harmony is our goal. Sunday was a wonderful start.”

Okay, so they may be working hard to make it work for the sake of the kids, but letting your children eat handfuls of sweets the whole day is just bad parenting!

According to recent celebrity news reports, Charlie didn’t want Brooke to go through with the extreme rehab she signed up for in Mexico, so the former ‘Two and a Half Men’ star flew down to pick her up and bring her back to the States.

Sources tell TMZ that Charlie was afraid Brooke would die from the extreme treatments that the Mexican rehabilitation center is famous for, so he decided to bring her back and have her treated by his own team of doctors. And get this—he’s generously offered to pay for everything. Isn’t that nice of him?

Brooke is reportedly holed up in an undisclosed location to undergo treatment courtesy of Charlie.

Sources tell TMZ that Brooke will be checking into a Cancun treatment facility that specializes in treating patients with a hallucinogenic drug that will help stop addictions. The drug is called Ibogaine, which is extracted from the iboga plant. Studies show that this particular drug disrupts people’s addictions to heroin, cocaine, methadone, and alcohol.

Brooke’s treatment will take an entire week, and according to her, it’s very “extreme”—but she’s convinced that it will “rewire” her brain and make her get over her drug addictions.

There have been reports of a reconciliation between Brooke and her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, since they’re been hanging out again now that he’s all out of “goddesses.” Is she trying to get better for Charlie? And the bigger question is, will he try to get better—and go to sex addiction rehab or something—for her?

Brooke‘s been spending a lot of time reading the tabloids to monitor what Charlie‘s been saying, particularly if it involves their sons, Bob and Max, whom she won custody of after their recently concluded drug and violence-fueled divorce.

Current entertainment news reports say:

“Under the terms of their divorce settlement, Charlie isn’t allowed to publicly speak about Brooke in any negative way, and Mueller is convinced he is violating that agreement. Charlie is saying thing that she believes are an attempt to make her look like a bad mother and she’s had enough of it.”

Brooke is currently in an outpatient rehab program where she gets to spend time with the boys every night, albeit accompanied by a sober living companion. She’s trying to get back on her feet for the sake of her sons and feels outraged that Charlie would make jokes about it in front of them.

According to celebrity news, Charlie‘s spending his first ever weekend with the boys since the judge who pronounced his divorce from Brooke Mueller awarded custody of the twins to their mother in March.

Now Charlie‘s making hay while the sun shines, and telling his sons where their mother spends much of her time.

“I am teaching them words, because they’re speaking now.  I’m teaching them the word ‘rehab’ so they always know where their mom is.”

It looks like the “tiger blood” in Charlie is still boiling over his custody dispute with ex-wife Brooke. How many years before those boys are in their therapists’ couches? Or maybe snorting their parents’ favorite drug of choice?

The former Two and a Half Men star will also be shelling close to $800,000 for the divorce proceedings, and approximately $1 million in interests on the home he used to share with his ex.

Sheen and Mueller’s three-year marriage ended with a bang in December 2009 when Brooke called the cops saying Charlie had held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. While Sheen did plead guilty to the charges, he didn’t do any jail time at all.

The incident, or the divorce, hasn’t stopped him from his drug, alcohol and porn binges, nor did it halt Brooke‘s own substance abuse. While Charlie has refused to enter rehab, his ex-wife has already done so.

Still, Sheen will need to do better than his recently disappointing one-man show tour if he’s going to be able to afford to pay for his kids’ upkeep.

Brooke and Denise had plans to get together with their kids last week, before Brooke went on a crack bender and ended up back in rehab again.

An insider tells Radar Online: “Brooke and Denise talk quite frequently. It was Denise’s idea to get together for dinner with Brooke with their children. Denise’s children with Charlie, Sam and Lola, have spent time in the past with their half-siblings, Bob and Max. Denise wants all the children to hang out together.”

Denise has also reached out to Brooke to offer her support after her relapse. That’s so nice of Denise; and it’s certainly best for the kids when all the adults involved are amicable.

As you probably know that Brooke and Charlie have two twins together; whereas Denise and Charlie have two daughters together.

Looks like the reunion has to be put on hold until Brooke gets herself sober up… Hopefully soon.

Mueller who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse has checked back into rehab yesterday. Radar Online termed it “a well-publicized relapse in her crack cocaine addiction.”

Radar also said Mueller appeared wobbly and “glassy-eyed” and gave no comment when asked if she was pleased with the court’s ruling.

A source says Mueller’s mother, Moira Fiore will be helping her with the boys while Mueller undergoes drug treatment at rehab.

Mueller has check herself back in rehab following a crazy week of binging; sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ.

It was a giveaway when Mueller refused a drug test Friday which was mandatory as part of her custody settlement with her baby daddy, Charlie Sheen.

Sheen’s lawyers are going to court on Tuesday. This doesn’t look good.

According to a local drug dealer, Mueller approached him on the street and wanted to get high. T-Mac told RadarOnline.com:

“Man, I ain’t never seen some sh*t like that, a cute a** white b**** looking for some candy on these streets.

“I was posted up across the street from the pawn shop and, when she got into her Benz, she asked me if I knew where she could get a bump,” T-Mac added. “At first, I thought she was po-po, you feel me, but she told me she just wanted to get high. So I went for it. We got in her ride, bent a corner, and I hooked her a** up with 8-ball for a buck fifty and told her if she liked it, to come see me again.”

Mueller has a drug test tonight – she better start chugging that water!
