French President Nicolas Sarkozy has no problem with the First Lady, Carla Bruni posing nude in the past. I think that’s the thing if you are going to marry someone accept her past completely. Back in North America, I don’t know if it works this way.
The French First Lady revealed to Vanity Fair magazine that she told Sarkozy at the start of their relationship about the racy pictures and warned him the revealing photos were sure to resurface.
A nude photograph of France’s first lady, Carla Bruni, has been auctioned for $91,000 (£46,098) – more than 20 times the expected price. The image was taken by photographer Michel Comte in 1993, when first lady, Bruni was a highly sought-after model.
The picture was bought by an anonymous bidder on behalf of a collector, said Christie’s auction house in New York, which sold the image.
The office of French President Nicolas Sarkozy has declined to comment. -BBC

If there were lingering concerns following the embarrassing release of a nude photo of France’s First Lady this week, they were quickly dispelled. Carla Bruni looked stylish and demure in a knee-length Dior coat and black gloves, with Jackie Kennedy-style hat.
The new Mrs Nicolas Sarkozy – former model Carla Bruni – is understandably furious that a nude photo of her went on sale on the eve of her State visit to Britain with her husband. The print, taken during her modelling days by photographer Michel Comte in 1993, will go under the hammer at Christie’s in New York next month.
An aide to 40-year-old Mrs Sarkozy said: “Carla is very angry, not to say deeply upset, that a commercial organisation has chosen to release this print at such an important time.
