Is it a hit or a miss?

Carrie returned to the “American Idol” grand finale show as a supporter of this season’s finalists in a sequined Badgely Mischka long-sleeved dress that fell way above her knees—a big leap from her princess gown by Oscar de la Renta at the Billboard Music Awards last week.

The leggy country songstress, who herself rose to prominence after winning “American Idol” back in 2005, dazzled in her blue orion sequin orbit sheath, which she matched with silver Jimmy Choo strappy heels and a silver clutch. She accessorized with Royal Asscher jewelry and her pro hockey player husband, Mike Fisher.

Carrie went with her signature curls, heavy smoky eyes and glossy natural pink lips.

Definitely Carrie‘s most daring dress lately, and she pulls it off quite nicely despite of it hiding all of her curves, thanks to her long tanned legs that were out in plain view.

Once again, Carrie looked ethereal as she walked the red carpet in her Oscar de la Renta gown—that also seemed pretty suitable for prom—at the Las Vegas-Hollywood event last Sunday.

Her silver and rose tulle draped gown, which she paired with silver open-toed pumps and a multi-colored Cara vanity case, hid much of her gorgeous legs, but we’re sure she still looked sexy to her husband, Mike Fisher, with whom she hit the red carpet.

Loose cascading curls, smoky eyes with platinum highlights and nude lips provided the finishing touches.

Carrie showcased her gorgeous figure in a strapless, cream-colored dress by designer Abed Mahfouz, which featured tulle overlay, sparkling embellishments, and a thigh-high slit.

The “American Idol” champ accessorized the outfit with metallic silver Oscar de la Renta heels and diamond jewelry by Johnathon Arndt.

Carrie finished her CMAs look with thick, dark lashes, shimmery gold eye makeup, a glossy nude lip, and voluminous curls.

The “American Idol” winner has a beautiful face and voice, but has never been known for having a toned physique. However, it looks like that’s all about to change, because the “Good Girl” singer recently debuted a leaner, sexier body—and amazingly long, toned legs—on her “Blown Away” album cover.

Underwood, who appears on the cover in a strapless ombre gown with a sexy slit, looks amazing.

But how did she get in such great shape?

Tony Greco, one of Carrie’s fitness trainers, tells Us Weekly:

“The eating is key, and she does it well… When she’s touring, she gets stuff at the local fresh store rather than eat stuff off the bus.”

Underwood was driving down an interstate highway between Oklahoma and Tennessee from her parents’ house when she came upon a limping and bloodied pooch by the roadside. The  country singer immediately stopped and carried the dog to her car away from other whizzing vehicles…

“I had Ace and Penny [her dogs] and a trunk full of luggage and presents in the SUV,”

Carrie wrote on her fan club website.

“My guess is that the dogs were thrown out of their car by their owners on the highway.”

Carrie took the injured dog under her wing for a time, named her Stella, and after an emergency trip to the vet, tried to find a permanent home for her little friend.

“She follows me around from room to room,”

Underwood gushed on the website.

“She’s the best Lab I’ve ever been around!”

Stella has since been adopted by neighbors from across the street.

“I cried when she walked out the door,”

Carrie wrote.

“[Husband Mike Fisher] told me not to be a crazy ex-girlfriend about it and stalk them…I can’t help it! She deserves the best life ever!”

Would self-proclaimed pet lovers, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, who always seem to have pooches around, do the same lifesaving deed, we wonder?

Now if only PETA could convince Carrie Underwood to pose naked in one of their ads, that would really make everyone’s day…

Yay or nay?

Carrie wore a strapless cream tulle dress with a ruffled skirt, which she paired with purple and light pink Ryan Haber heels, a Swarovski clutch, a sparkly silver cuff, and gorgeous silver drop earrings.

The country singer completed the look with a soft, wispy updo, glossy lips, dramatic lashes, and shimmery eye makeup.

We love Carrie’s hair and makeup, as well as her clutch and accessories. But we can’t say the same for the dress, or those weird-looking shoes. To be honest, the dress looks too prom-y and more suited for a teenager or something.

Also, those shoes just don’t go well with the dress. The chunky cuffs on her ankles are just too weird…

If she really had to wear this dress, she could’ve at least gone with delicate gold or nude strappy sandals, or maybe nude pumps.

What do you think of it? Pretty hot ha?

Carrie’s hockey star husband who’s a Canadian native was traded from the Ottawa Senators to her hometown’s Nashville Predators that angered the Ottawa station big time!

The station, Kiss 105.3 called the move a “betrayal to our community” and charged that Mike “was lured away from Ottawa by a country-music superstar.”

Sigh.

“I heard about it right away and Carrie heard about it and she was extremely disappointed and frustrated,” Mike told the Vancouver Sun. “I think they meant it as a joke that really wasn’t funny.”

“I don’t know if it was for attention or not, but obviously Carrie had nothing to do with the move or the trade or anything so to imply something like that was just wrong,” said Fisher.

As for the move to Nashville? “To be honest, I was praying a few days before about it,” Mike added.

“I was just so frustrated and said ‘God, if you have me go somewhere take care of it, look after it,’ and he sure did that,” Fisher said.

And what about life in the country music capital Nashville?  “He put me in a place I was comfortable with and I think that’s part of reason that this is the place I’m supposed to be and that’s comforting for sure,” Mike said.

Surely the station isn’t serious as we Canadians don’t hold grudges. A lot of our talents have been lured away namely our young Justin Bieber.

Mike is a good man, he is a very devoted Christian. I like that. I too believe nothing is done right without God’s help.

Amen.

Mike and Carrie got married last July. The couple is expecting their first child this summer.

The Newlyweds Carrie, 27, and her hockey star hubby, Mike , 30, are said to be expecting their first baby.“Carrie just learned that she’s two months pregnant,” an insider tells Star magazine. “They’re keeping a lid on the news for at least a few more weeks, then they’ll make a big announcement, but they are absolutely ecstatic!”

Carrie and Mike met in 2008 in one of her concerts and began dating. The couple married in July, 2010 and she had said she wanted to enjoy being married first before thinking about babies.

So this must be a good surprise!

“Carrie hatched a plot with a few of her best friends,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“They all agreed to try to conceive at the same time so they can support each other through their pregnancies and can all share baby-rearing responsibilities.

“Carrie is a little bit of a hippie at heart, and she loves the idea of sharing the parenting experience with her inner circle.

“Mike can’t wait to have kids. But with her busy career, he understands Carrie’s apprehension. So he’s all for her sharing the workload with her friends.”

All at the same time? What if there’s an oops? What if there is infertility issues? Lots could go wrong with group planning! Do you think Carrie looks pregnant?

After taking the marital plunge last weekend, Carrie Underwood and new hubby Mike Fisher wasted no time plunging into the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean while on their honeymoon in Tahiti.

And the country cutie looks super-sexy in her skimpy two-piece bikini!

Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also acknowledge the fine-looking specimen standing next to her as well.

And people wonder why celebrities don’t like to be followed around! They get photographed in their bikinis, without makeup and then the comments like this come out! Anyway, congratulations Mike and Carrie!

The newlyweds tells People magazine “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” signing their names “Mike & Carrie Fisher.”

Among the guests were the Idol judges: Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and former Idol judge: Paula Abdul

Fisher, who plays for the Ottawa Senators, was engaged to Underwood on Dec. 20, 2009, after quietly dating for about a year.

Carrie Underwood has voiced a singing Sesame Street character called Carrie Underworm, a bright orange annelid with long blond hair. She also has recorded a song for her character, scheduled to appear on the Feb. 11 episode, called The Worm Anthem.

Usmagazine.com reports that both Carrie and Mike “couldn’t be happier.” They also lifted a quote from the liner notes of her most recent album where she gushes about her soon to be husband.

“Thank you #12,” she wrote, referring to his jersey number. “You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day… xoxo, Carrie.”

No tentative wedding date has been set.

Carrie Underwood did an interview with Esquire magazine recently, and made sure it was clear her song “Cowboy Casanova” was not about Tony!

She said in the article, “No, I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit.”

His name is Mike Fisher and he plays for the Ottawa Senators.  He is 28 years old and is a hunk.  According to Just Jared:

Carrie watched the game from the VIP box with Fisher’s family, including his younger brother Bud. She was shown on the big Jumbotron screen’s “Hug Cam” throughout the game as she hugged the two people sitting next to her.

Interesting.  The popular girls all have to head to Canada to find good men.  Do you think they’ll go public anytime soon?
