Brand has definitely been a class act all throughout his and Katy’s highly publicized divorce, opting not to take a single penny of the “Part of Me” singer’s millions, keeping mum about the cause of their split, and even letting her keep the house that they bought together back when they were still Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brand.

And apparently, despite the fact that he recently unfollowed her on Twitter, Russell is not bitter towards Katy. In fact, in a recent interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the British actor had nothing but nice things to say about his ex.

Brand shared:

“I still love her as a human being. But, sometimes when you’re in a relationship I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything. I was very happy to be married with her.”

He continued:

“She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.”

The eccentric comedian, who was actually slamming breakup rumors during his last appearance on the show, found himself explaining their breakup on Thursday’s show:

“You can’t absolutely make everything the way you want it to be in life… Sometimes thing are just different and then you to just move with that and try and remain in contact with what is beautiful about yourself and each other … with any situation. Just remain beautiful – [Katy] is still a person I still consider to be beautiful…”

How sweet. Props to you, Russell.

Apparently, the reason why Marc Anthony finally decided to file for divorce was because he found out that J.Lo, whom he had been hoping to reconcile with someday, was already head-over-heels in love with her boyfriend, Casper Smart.

Which of course means that Lopez has no interest in dropping him anytime soon.

However, despite the fact that Marc was the one who filed the docs, sources close to the singer reveal to TMZ that he and Jennifer made the decision together.

TMZ reports:

“…[Marc] didn’t make the decision on his own — he had a heart-to-heart with J.Lo a few weeks back to see if she really, truly wanted to end the marriage.”

The site adds:

“We’re told he said he wanted to give the marriage another try, but Jennifer confessed … she was deeply in love with Casper … and wanted to pursue that relationship.”

Ouch.

But we doubt Marc’s too torn up about it… after all, he has a smoking hot model girlfriend to comfort him.

Who would’ve guessed that he’d be the one to file first?

After many months of being separated—and finding new rebounds each in the process—the Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony divorce has finally (and officially) been set in motion.

The soon-to-be-former Mr. Jennifer Lopez, who is currently dating Venezuelan model Shannon de Lima, filed divorce docs on Monday, April 9 at the L.A. County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending the marriage.

He is also asking for joint legal and physical custody of their twins, Emme and Max.

Oh, and not that it matters since J.Lo is worth quite a lot, but Anthony also asked the judge to reject any requests for spousal support from his estranged wife.

We wonder how Jennifer feels about Marc beating her to the punch?

The supermodel has decided to officially end her marriage to Seal, her husband of nearly seven years, after about 2 or 3 months of separation.

Looks like there won’t be a reconciliation after all…

According to reports, Klum’s divorce docs cite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the split. It also says that the former Victoria’s Secret model is asking for joint custody and primary physical custody of the children, while Seal gets visitation rights.

Heidi, who is legally known as Heidi Samuel (she took Seal’s last name when they got married), is also asking the judge to restore her name—legally—to Heidi Klum.

In November last year, star news reported that Kris Humphries countered Kim’s divorce petition by filing for an annulment, which he reportedly prefers due to his deeply rooted religious beliefs against divorce. Oh, and because he thinks his 72-day wife defrauded him into marrying her for ratings… which of course Kim has adamantly denied.

As previously reported, the curvy reality star was initially pushing for the divorce because getting the marriage annulled would threaten her ironclad prenup, but recent reports tell us that she’s changed her tune.

TMZ adds:

“Kim would be happy to annul the marriage, if Kris will admit he defrauded her by promising to live with her in Hollywood and then demanding that she move to Minnesota.”

How absurd.

Early last month, Kris Humphries and his legal team declared that the NBA star was not going to ask Kim for any money… as long as she admits that their marriage was bogus. But since Kim will never admit to such a thing, Kris is now allegedly asking $7 million from his future ex-wife so that they can avoid an ugly divorce trial that’s sure to be highly publicized, which can cause even more damage to Kim’s already precarious public image.

TMZ reports:

“[Humphries] — through his Minnesota lawyer — has given Kim an ultimatum … either pay up, or endure an ugly, public trial.”

Predictably, Kim and her legal team said “no” due to the fact that they have an iron-clad prenup to back them up, which states that Kim will not have to give a single penny to Kris should their marriage fail.

And even if the divorce is turned into an annulment, which is what Kris was pushing for, the money he would be entitled to still won’t amount to $7 million, since his marriage to Kim only lasted 72 days.

Could this true, or is it just another smear campaign against Kim’s ex?

Unlike Seal, who has been talking about the separation—from explaining why he still wears his wedding ring to why he thinks they could still reconcile—ever since news broke out of their split, Heidi has kept mum about the whole thing… until now.

Heidi, ELLE’s April 2012 cover girl, admits:

“I feel like I’m in the eye of the tornado. It’s emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness — with you wanting it or not wanting it — is another tornado. But as hard as it is, so is life. And sometimes I think a curveball just comes at you. Instead of something straight that you catch, it hits you in the head from the side that you didn’t expect.”

Everyone was shocked to learn of Klum and Seal’s separation, especially since the couple’s marriage had seemed perfect, plus they were always so loving and affectionate in public. But the German supermodel admits that there had been many problems in the marriage… they just kept them all private.

“To the outside world, you don’t really share all the things that happen. You kind of share just the most amazing sides… But I don’t really want to get into any of that stuff. With my life, my family, my business — I want to go forward.”

Heidi adds:

“I feel like already there are so many things being said about us — about him, about me. I’m not going to comment. Otherwise it makes you angry. You can’t always call and say, ‘This is not true, but this part is true.’”

And what does she think about Seal’s nonstop yapping about their split while promoting his new album? Klum says:

“He’s a grown man. I can’t tell him what to do and what not to do.”

And as to who caused the marriage to collapse (there had been reports that Seal had a very volatile temper and that it was the main reason for the split), Heidi says:

“People don’t need to know who did what… I don’t want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we’re in the public, so the highs are out there.”

She adds:

“I’m a lioness. I have four cubs. I’m a mom. I want to take care of my kids and protect them… I don’t want to talk about them, or him, or me.”

And lastly… was she hurt by her split from Seal? Heidi responds:

“I’m not a robot. I’m not made out of stone.”

Smart or stupid?

Well, considering Kim has disso-queen Laura Wasser—famed divorce lawyer to the stars—on her side, it might just be the stupidest move of all. After all, what chance does Kris stand against Kim’s lawyer? Wasser has represented (and currently still represents) celebrities such as Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Reynolds, Kiefer Sutherland, and even Maria Shriver, who filed for divorce from philandering husband Arnold Schwarzenegger early last year.

Kris reportedly wanted his own lawyer, who is based in Minnesota, to represent him in the case. Unfortunately, in California, out-of-state lawyers are not allowed to rep a client unless they have a California-based lawyer by their side.

TMZ reports:

“So Kris hired a Los Angeles lawyer… But we found out the L.A. lawyer has withdrawn from the case, so the Minnesota lawyer doesn’t have a sponsor anymore. Translation: Mr. Minnesota is persona non grata in court.”

So Kris decided to represent himself.

Then who is it about, Katy?

Celebrity news has learned that the song, which Katy debuted at the Grammy Awards last month, is widely believed to be about her British ex-hubby, Russell Brand. But the “Firework” singer, who split from Brand after the “massive fight” they had just before the holidays, says it’s definitely isn’t.

“I wrote it two years ago, which is funny because everybody is like ‘God, it sounds so current,’”

Perry reveals to MTV News.

So, two years ago… that would be just after she broke up with her ex, Travie McCoy…

Maybe it’s about him!

Katy adds:

“Some people that I work with were like, ‘You should just say you wrote it a couple of weeks ago.’ I’m like, ‘I’m not a d—, I’m going to tell the truth.’ I wrote it two years ago when I was writing and recording Teenage Dream, [but] it didn’t feel right on the record. I would’ve had to take out one of my other songs that [made the album] a nice, complete package.”

Still, the blue-haired “Smurfs” star does find it weird that “Part Of Me,” which contains scathing lyrics aimed at an ex-lover, seems so in tune with her life now, despite being written two years ago. She explains:

“I always planned to put it out in the spring of this year, to possibly perform it at a big [awards show], but sometimes I’m like, ‘Am I living in ‘The Truman Show?’ … what’s going on?’ Because I sit down and I write all these songs at once, all these emotions and feelings and thoughts, and then, like, it just feels like sometimes I’m caught in this movie where my life is paralleling my music!”

Honestly, it seems a bit more deliberate than Katy‘s making it out to be. She may have written it two years ago, but performing it right after her split from Russell (when she had the choice not to) obviously makes it about him…

Katy who?

Russell, who was recently rumored to have set his sights on his ex-wife’s look-alike, “New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel, has been spotted with his new rebound in tow… and she’s a brunette, too.

Russell is rumored to be dating Mexican-born artist Oriela Medellin Amieiro, whom he reportedly met at a Yoga class in Los Angeles. The new couple was photographed shopping together in West Hollywood before getting into a minor fender bender with a teen driver in Russell’s Range Rover.

In addition to being photographed shopping with the “Arthur” star and riding shotgun in his car, last week Amieiro was spotted leaving Brand’s bachelor pad in Beverly Hills late at night.

Meanwhile, Russell’s ex-ladylove, Katy Perry, spent the night in the arms of another man… Elton John! The “California Girls” singer attended the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party at the Pacific Design Center on Sunday, along with fellow divorcees Heidi Klum and Kim Kardashian.

The couple, who announced that they were filing for divorce (or rather, Vanessa was) two months ago, have reportedly reconciled. So we’re guessing it wasn’t all about taking home Kobe’s millions and his mansions for Vanessa, after all.

She obviously truly loves him… despite the fact that he allegedly cheated on her with “multiple women” throughout their marriage.

Vanessa showed up at a Lakers game on Valentine’s Day to support her Kobe and his team against the Atlanta Hawks… and she even gave him a congratulatory kiss—on the lips—as he was on his way to the locker room after the Lakers’ victory.

After speaking with sources with inside information on the current state of Kobe and Vanessa’s relationship, TMZ reports:

“…the two are working on a reconciliation… [but] are NOT living with each other … yet. ”

Oh, and because they never actually had time to kick one up.

Since there was no prenup between Russell and Katy, the community property law takes effect, which means everything they both earned while they were married will be divided 50/50. And since Katy earned more than Russell did, she stands to lose more.

But, as previously reported, Russell has refused to take the $20 million (of Katy’s hard-earned money) that he is entitled to in their divorce. And, according to sources, both he and Katy have no regrets about not signing a prenup.

“Katy and Russell‘s marriage happened so fast, they never really had the opportunity to summon their lawyers and hash out a prenup … nor did either really believe they needed one.”

The site continues:

“…both felt comfortable one wouldn’t screw the other in the event of a divorce — they both knew where the other person stood on money, life, religion … everything.”

Also, according to TMZ’s source:

“Russell is a very simple person who doesn’t need much to make him happy. He would never take money that [Katy] earned. That’s not Russell. And if it was the other way around, Katy wouldn’t have taken it either. They respect each other too much.”

Wow. What an amicable divorce… who knew that could happen in Hollywood?

Russell, whose divorce from pop superstar wife Katy Perry was announced just before New Year’s Eve following a string of breakup rumors over the holidays, reportedly stands to take home over $20 million dollars of Perry’s money… thanks to the fact that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement.

In the absence of a prenup, everything the couple earns during the time they were married is to be summed up and divided equally… and since Katy earned around $44 million from May 2010 to May 2011, Russell is entitled to half of everything she made… which means he stands to rake in quite a fortune.

But here’s the thing… Russell has no plans of taking even a single cent from Katy. He’s more than happy to take home whatever he earned while they were married and let Katy have all of her hard-earned millions.

Wasn’t that gentlemanly of him? A source tells TMZ:

“This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person).”

Say what you want about Russell Brand, but we think this proves that he’s a pretty stand-up guy…

And we just can’t believe it.

Heidi and Seal, divorcing? It seems totally absurd. They are arguably one of the most “solid” couples in all of Hollywood, and we just can’t imagine them splitting up. They just seem so in love. In fact, it seems they’re so crazy about each other that they’ve made it their tradition to get married every year.

And now Heidi wants to divorce Seal? The man whom she thinks is the hottest man alive? Unthinkable.

But that’s what TMZ has learned. After speaking with sources close to the situation, the site reports:

“Heidi will file divorce papers in L.A. County Superior Court as early as next week. We’re told Heidi will cite “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the divorce.”

Heidi and Seal have four children: Leni (Heidi’s daughter from a previous relationship), Henry, Johan and Lou.

There have been no statements about the matter from either Heidi’s or Seal’s camp, so this report has yet to be confirmed…so stay tuned.

Nothing says “we’re over” like clicking that “Unfollow” button, huh?

So you know how after a breakup, most girls cope by getting a haircut or a new hair color… and then by “unfriending” or “unfollowing” their former significant others on all their social networking accounts? Well, Katy seems to be following that same exact pattern.

After dyeing her hair blue (which probably has nothing to do with the divorce, but with her new Adidas commercial), Katy then unfollowed Russell on Twitter.

A source tells Us Weekly:

“She’s limiting those interactions… He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never really knew him.”

The source adds:

“She doesn’t want to look battered and have people for sorry for her… She’s very strong and confident.”

Russell, meanwhile, is still following Katy.

Keith and Mary Hudson, who are pastors at their own church, are grateful that Katy‘s about to be divorced from her husband because apparently, it resulted in the spike in attendance of their congregation… and a full collection plate, more likely.

And so it was that the Pastors Hudson spoke before an unusually packed house, giving praise to God for their daughters soon-to-be-ex-husband having torn their union asunder…because it helped them fill churches. So praise be!

“I’m sure that Katy‘s trending on the Internet was to get you here to church tonight.”

Mary Hudson told the packed Church on the Rise congregation in Westlake, Ohio.

“I mean all over the world, who knows how God is bringing them in? The most important thing is you are here and God wants to put the fire in you in 2012.”

Keith Hudson put his two cents’ in, as well.

“What has taken place in my daughter’s life has opened many opportunities to go in and be with guarded and gated people. God has given us a platform to go in and meet people — and they like us because we are cool. We are not threatening.”

In fact, the pastors made sure they were so non-threatening they played a video of them posing at awards shows with their daughter Katy before taking to the stage and talking about their gratefulness to God for the divorce for a full 90 minutes.

‘I love my daughter and I will always love her. Stop being judgmental and critical. Do not close the doors to your loved ones, especially your children.”

Keith said, choking back his tears as he addressed the morbidly curious crowd.

“Just because they do not like what you do or what you are, they are still praying that you stay in the race. They are counting on you. I believe in God, for every one of my children.”

Apparently, theirs is a God who fully endorses divorce, especially if it fills up their church…and the church’s coffers, as well…

After two months of being separated, Zooey has decided to end her marriage to Ben Gibbard, whom she wed in September 2009.

The “New Girl” star reportedly filed for divorce on December 27, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The announcement comes just days after the shocking divorce news of Katy Perry, who is often called Zooey’s separated-at-birth twin thanks to their uncanny resemblance to each other.

Apparently, when funnyman Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry, his wife of 14 months, it wasn’t just their fans whose mouths dropped open in shock. A source close to the now-estranged couple tells PEOPLE:

“I was really surprised that Russell filed for divorce so quickly – especially at Christmas time.”

The source adds:

“I thought they would be together for a long time. Maybe not forever – but definitely not just 14 months.”

Hey, it’s longer than most Hollywood marriages. Isn’t that right, Kim Kardashian?

Okay, enough with the queen of short marriages.

Why was Katy and Russell’s split such a surprise? The source explains:

“They were always laughing.. They were very affectionate, always holding hands. They seemed like they were really in love.”

A second source shares:

“[Katy and Russell] took marriage very seriously… These aren’t people who give up,” the second source says. “I always thought they would work on their marriage if they had trouble.”

They should, actually. Everyone knows the first year of marriage is tough. Problems arise, and that’s perfectly natural. These Hollywood couples should really learn to weather it out instead of throwing in the towel so quickly.

Katy reportedly looked happy and carefree as she partied on New Year’s Eve with some friends at Soho House in West Hollywood. Considering the fact that her husband had just filed for divorce the day before, shouldn’t she be acting a bit more somber?

Well, that’s Katy for you. The singer, whose hard partying ways reportedly contributed to her marriage’s decline, did not let the fact that she was getting a divorce stop her from partying her butt off on Saturday. An eyewitness tells Page Six:

“Katy was in a private room with a group and she seemed to be in a great mood. She spent most of the night dancing and laughing with friends.”

The source added:

“One wouldn’t have ever even known that her husband had just filed for divorce. At one point, she was talking to a guy with long hair down to his shoulders in the hallway. They were talking for a while. She was smiling and leaning up against wall.”

Flirting with a new guy already?

“After midnight Katy and a male friend got on the dance floor, twirling each other around and dancing holding hands. She looked like she was having a great time.”

Meanwhile, Katy’s estranged husband Russell Brand rang in 2012 at the Savoy Hotel in London with some friends, including indie pop singer Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.

Thus, after months of fighting and friction due to their conflicting lifestyles, Russell eventually filed for divorce on December 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

A source tells The Mirror:

“Russell may have this wild image but he takes his recovery very seriously because he knows his problems with drink and drugs in the past nearly killed him. Because of her tour commitments, Russell’s time with Katy was precious and he didn’t want to spend it partying all the time.”

The source adds:

“He couldn’t handle Katy’s drinking. They didn’t get on when she went out and this caused further resentment and rows… He wanted her to stay at home, do the whole Hollywood housewives thing. But that was never going to happen for Katy, she loves her singing career.”

Despite the problems, Russell and Katy weren’t so quick to turn in the towel—they reportedly tried to save the marriage by going to a marriage counselor. The source shares:

“They had therapy and marriage counseling (sic) sessions for about six weeks.”

Obviously, it didn’t work out too well. The source continues:

“The marriage was over a long time ago, and they both knew it. Their lives were heading in completely opposite directions and they realised they had nothing in common and no future.”

While there are probably many other factors that led to the couple’s divorce, it seems Katy’s fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle was the biggest contributing factor to the split. The source says:

“Russell left his party lifestyle behind a long time ago because it nearly killed him. All he wanted to do is stay at home, do his yoga, keep his demons away and have a family with Katy.”

How sad. Doesn’t this make you feel kind of bad for Russell? After all, marriage is supposed to be the time you settle down and have kids, not go crazy and party every day.
