The 46-year-old former teen actor, who’s been playing Alan Harper on the CBS hit comedy for the last eight years, sounded off on the difference between working with cuckoo Charlie, and the younger, suaver, more debonaire, Ashton Kutcher. So was he playing safe with his answer or did he purposely take a dig at good ol’ Tiger Blood?

“He’s great. He’s a clown. He is up for anything, willing to do anything. Great, great spirit.”

Cryer told E! Entertainment in an exclusive interview at the SAG Awards about his new bearded co-star .

“It’s a little less suspenseful being on the set now a days,”

the funnyman revealed.

“When you come into work, you are pretty sure he [Ashton]‘s going to be there. And nobody’s pushed his car off a cliff or anything like that.”

Cryer quipped, referring to Charlie‘s penchant for losing cars faster than he loses wives.

Oh, wait. Ashton just lost one. Wife, that is. Does that make a difference?

Strangely enough, now that we think about it…aren’t they the both highly likely to enjoy vehicle-butchered meat? And not just because they’ve both starred/star in “Two And A Half Men,” either…

Believe it or not, there is a context for this ridiculous seeming vote that targets the 46-year-old troubled acting veteran and the soon-to-be-divorced 33-year-old social media fanatic. A poll on the Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods America” have these two winning by a wide margin. Does that mean Charlie and Ashton would go for a random bite of squashed raccoon when out for a drive in L.A.?

Oh, ewww.

And while Sheen won over Kutcher by a minute margin, they weren’t the only ones voted most likely to eat roadside animal carcasses. Britney Spears (snake stew, y’all!) and Roseanne Barr follow them on the list. And while we’re pretty sure these four won’t suddenly turn up on the show just to prove they have the stomach for it, we’re guessing Charlie Sheen, although he claims he a’int crazy no more, may have pickled his innards with enough alcohol to best anyone in the world who’d dare him to eat…uh…anything.

So, muskrat chili, cow placenta pâté, or pig ear sandwich, anyone?

The former “Two And A Half Men” star talked to the media at the FOX Television Critics Association party in Pasadena, California and told them he should now be regarded as a more lucid individual after having recovered from his seriously skewed meltdown in the last year and a half. Maybe he’s trying to convince everybody he’s now ready to get down to some serious work and regain his status as an A-list celebrity…

“I’m not crazy anymore. That was an episode,”

Charlie informed reporters from Access Hollywood.

“I think I’m a different person than I was yesterday. Everything is a lot more mellow and focused and much more rooted in reality.”

And reality just happens to be a starring role in FX show, “Anger Management,” which the 46-year-old former ’80s matinee idol will start shooting at least 10 episodes in the next six weeks.

“I’ve been at this 30 years. It’s nice to be in a situation where the people I’m working with are excited about my input. That wasn’t the case for a long time.”

Wow. Charlie has been in the business for 30 years? That’s a hell of a long time, and considering he took some time off for a meltdown at the start of last year, that’s a pretty impressive record if you compare it with that of other younger, less experienced stars (yoo-hoo, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Demi Lovato!).

“I’ve been spending a lot of time with the kids, a lot of time with the family and I’m getting back into work mode,”

Charlie revealed.

“I’m a single guy hanging out with my children.”

Yup. Nothing like family, and the kids you have to pay child support for to keep you grounded…and raring to earn a living to keep from filing for bancruptcy.

Good for you, Charlie Sheen! Let’s hope 2012 is your good luck year of lucid intervals…

With them was Denise‘s adopted daughter, Eloise, and they appeared to be having so much family fun in the sand and sun. Looks like Charlie‘s trying to make up for lost time…after that lost period he spent lost in the muddle of his own meltdown…

Charlie posted both on Twitter and Whosay, with photos of the whole family sporting ear-to-ear grins.

“What’s better than a modern family vacation!?! love spending winter break w/ @denise_richards & my kids!”

In fact, Charlie even rose at dawn to go fishing, hauling in what looked like a modest-looking halibut at the end of his line.

“6:30am Hemingway would be proud…”

Charlie enthused.

“I think the great DiMaggio would be proud of me today.” Hell… I’m proud of me…”

And we’d all be proud of Charlie if his family vacation turns out as uneventful as he’s hoping it to be.

Next stop: spending part of Christmas with twins, Bob and Max visiting law-breaking ex Brooke Mueller…

Unfortunately for the forgetful 46-year-old soon-to-be “Anger Management” star, it totally slipped his mind that his Twitter account has over 5.4 million followers, so you can just imagine who’s been ringing him at all hours of the day and night…

It’s a good thing Charlie came to his senses and deleted that particular tweet, which said:

“Call me bro,”

followed by his phone number.

We’re guessing Charlie‘s now scrambling to have that number changed…unless he likes getting all sorts of calls 24/7 from his 5.4 million followers, that is. It’s nice to keep in touch with your fan base, and all that. Particularly if you have no one to talk to about your troubles and the fact that you’ve had to bail your drug-addled ex-wife from jail after she’d been busted by police for cocaine possession, yet she still has primary custody of the kids…dang!

But that’s okay, Charlie. Honest mistake…tweeting your phone number, that is.

We don’t know who the “bro” you wanted to call you was, but we’d be glad to give you a ring…just post your new number for us one more time…

Charlie isn’t retaliating at Chuck Lorre for killing him off in a “meat explosion” is he? After all, wasn’t he just gushing about how Ashton Kutcher brought in 28 million viewers and red hot ratings, and finally “winning” a quarter of the $100 million he sued Warner Bros. for over wrongful termination?

Apparently, entertainment news today thinks that’s water over the bridge for Charlie. That was then, this is now. And he’s saying he’s “very disappointed” at where the show’s headed.

Is he referring to how Ashton‘s marital infidelities are wrecking havoc on ratings or does he think absolutely no one can carry the show better than he can?

“People aren’t stupid, you know? Not all of them.”

Charlie quipped. He thinks Ashton‘s doing the best he can, even walking around naked during the premier, but…

“I don’t think the role is cursed, but I’m extremely disappointed with how they’re handling what I left behind.”

Oh, okay. So it’s Charlie‘s ego speaking. And we all know how warlock-y that’s like.

And maybe he’s shifted his loyalties somewhere else?

“Anyone catch the premier of “Rules of Engagement” last night?”

Sheen tweeted.

“Glad it’s back! Hat’s off to buddy Tom Hertz, cast and crew. Great show CBS!!”

For whatever it’s worth, “Two And A Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre and the rest of the show’s producers are tearing their hair out over how Ashton‘s antics may affect ratings. Granted, he brought in close to 28 million viewers for the Season 8 premier with his buck naked entrance, but how long will that last after Sara Leal, who’s allegedly hired a lawyer, starts bugging him to pay her to shut up or she’ll sell their story to the tabloids.

Didn’t Brooke Mueller divorce Charlie Sheen in the middle of his meltdown? Will Demi be dropping Ashton too?

Despite his earlier claim that the show would be doomed without him, Charlie actually enjoyed last night’s Charlie Harper-free episode. As for watching “his” funeral, Charlie admits:

“[It was] eerie but fun.”

According to TMZ, Charlie also praised Ashton Kutcher’s big “Two and a Half Men” debut. He shares:

“I thought it was the best intro for a new a character on a TV show of all time.”

How nice of him!

But wait a minute… this is Charlie Sheen we’re talking about here. Where did all the bitterness and hate go? We’re not really sure—maybe the departure of his “goddesses” and the return of his ex-wife Brooke Mueller into his life blew a new personality into him… or maybe winning that $25 million settlement from Warner Bros. softened him up some.

We’re stumped. Why the change of heart, Charlie?

It’s a good thing Charlie‘s given sanity a good go this month, and it seems to be paying off in spades. Celebrity news witnessed as he sat through Comedy Central’s “The Roast of Charlie Sheen,” laughing at himself the whole while and quoting his version of  “sticks and stones” with:

“You can’t hurt me. I can’t even hurt me.”

He even went backstage and the 2011 Emmy Awards and buddied up to his “Two And A Half Men” successor Ashton Kutcher. Most impressive was his little speech just before he presented the Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series where he congratulated everyone on the TV series he’d worked with for eight years and wished them all the best.

And if in getting back one’s sanity, one gets awarded $25 million, then hey, it’s good to go all-out crazy once in a while, eh?

In fact, Charlie tweeted the above photo to the world showing he doesn’t have any hard feelings (well, at least none that are apparent) after having been fired from “Two And A Half Men” earlier in spring and replaced with that kid from “Punk’d”…who seems to be modeling the new line in modern Quaker fashion.

“Seriously… @aplusk great talking to you! We’ll all be watching! Make us proud!!”

He sent out to Ashton (@aplusk, if you didn’t already guess), as well as this photo of them below, which he described as…

“Giving the new kid a little advice..! With @aplusk backstage at the Emmy’s…”

Well, that’s something, ain’t it? And you know what’s even more shocking? When the time came for Charlie to present the Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series (to Jimmy Parsons of, ironically, another Chuck Lorre creation, “Big Bang Theory”), he had this to say:

“Before I present Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, my old category, I want to take a moment to get something of my chest and say a few words to everybody here from Two and a Half Men. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television.”

And that, ladies and gentlemen of the Emmy’s…is winning!

Things must finally be looking up for Sheen, who’s been to hell and back after several months worth of bizarre meltdowns, fantastically odd announcements, shooting down his exes, and a setting up house with a harem of “goddesses”, after  getting canned off his main source of livelihood.

Maybe Charlie‘s come to his senses finally and allowed some of the blame to fall on his shoulders…besides the alcohol and drugs, that is. He’s admitted culpability, and he laughed at himself on Comedy Central’s “The Roast Of Charlie Sheen,” and he’s even announced he’ll be holding a “Two And A Half Men” viewing party in time for next season’s premier (his idea of an apology to creator Chuck Lorre perhaps?).

Well see how this goes shall we? Who knows Charlie‘s probably crawled his way out of the shit hole he’s dug for himself and is on his way to “winning”…

According to the former “Two And A Half Men” star, he wasn’t quite sure what had happened in spring during the time he was fired from the popular, long-running CBS show.

“It was one of those things where the planets were aligned, perfectly or imperfectly. I said some stuff and then it caught such traction globally and instantly that I couldn’t really put out the fire. I had to keep fueling it.”

He told celebrity news about that time in his life when he felt it…

“was like being shot out of a cannon into another cannon and then being just shot out of that one. It was like from one moment to the next I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was pretty exciting.”

Sheen says he’s calmer and sober now, although, apart from astrology, he’s a firm believer in not keeping track of how long he’s been on the sobriety track.

“If you’re walking around hanging on to your time, it’s only a matter of time before it goes.”

Sheen recently made an appearance on Comedy Central in time for their “The Roast of Charlie Sheen” show where he gamely laughed at himself being skewered by other celebrities.

TMZ has learned that Charlie is moving Denise into a house that he purchased from film producer Mike Medavoy, which is only six houses down from his own home.

According to sources, Charlie and Denise have been getting along really well—but probably not as well as him and his other ex-wife, Brooke Mueller—and this newfound peace has allowed Charlie to convince Denise to move into his neighborhood so that he can spend more time with their two daughters, Sam and Lola.

Meanwhile, Charlie is also planning on purchasing another house in the neighborhood for Brooke and their twins.

We know he just wants to be closer to his children, but why does he need to buy houses for both his former wives?

TMZ has learned that producers of “Two and a Half Men” offered Denise a guest-starring role on the show for the premiere episode, but she immediately turned it down because she believed that accepting the part would provoke Charlie to pick on her and make her life hell.

Obviously, “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre just wanted to pack on the insults in the first episode alone with Charlie’s character’s funeral, the debut of his replacement, Ashton Kutcher, and an appearance by his ex-wife, Denise—an episode guaranteed to piss Charlie off like there’s no tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Chuck didn’t hit the trifecta on that one, because Denise made it clear that she was having no part in it.

Pretty smart of her, because it would’ve ruined the very recent friendly feeling between her and Charlie, which was brought on by her new book.

Friends who go on a romantic vacation in Mexico together? Uh-huh. Sure.

Lately, Charlie and Brooke have been acting like they’re back together—or at least trying to get there—but the Sheen insists that there will be no “love is sweeter the second time around” for them. He tells TMZ:

“[We’re] good friends trying to be great parents.”

As previously reported, Charlie took his ex-wife to Mexico as a reward for being a good mother and for doing well in rehab (which he also paid for). And they didn’t bring the kids—sounds like a second honeymoon, right?

However, no matter how sweet they seem to be nowadays, Charlie says that he and Brooke are not getting back together. He shares:

“[Brooke and I are] working on mending the bridges, replanting scorched earth. The goal is harmony.”

Oh come on, Charlie. We highly doubt that you’re just friends. Especially if you and Brooke are in Mexico… alone… with no kids or porn stars around…

In what seems to be another step toward reconciliation, Charlie and Brooke jetted off to Mexico for a little R&R. The former couple reportedly hopped on a private plane on Friday afternoon and arrived in the land of sombreros and enchiladas a few hours ago.

So why the trip? Well, remember when Charlie decided that he was going to pay for Brooke’s rehab treatment? Apparently, she’s been doing really well, and the former “Two and a Half Men” actor wants to reward her for it. He tells TMZ:

“[Brooke has been] busting her ass with the boys, and [she's] more sober and healthy than I’ve ever seen her.”

That’s awesome news. We hope she stays that way, and we hope this will mark the end of Charlie’s porn star habit!

Charlie, whose character, Charlie Harper, was killed off in the latest episode of ‘Two And A Half Men’, has apparently been getting a show of support from his fans over the last few days, and this time in an illegal and unorthodox way.

These “Where’s Charlie?” stickers have been appearing all over street signs in L.A. —most of them in the area where Charlie lives—and TMZ has learned that the Warlock is quite pleased and truly appreciates the gesture.

However, Charlie was quick to add that he does not condone the vandalism.

No word yet on the identity(ies?) of the “Where’s Charlie?” sticker fiend(s?).

Sorry, Charlie Sheen. Looks like everyone now officially likes Ashton more than you!

Ashton—with the help of his wife, Demi Moore—threw a nice “first day party” for the entire staff of the hit CBS show. The couple hosted the spur-of-the-moment celebration at West Hollywood hotspot Troubadour, with free-flowing drinks and awesome entertainment courtesy of DJ Jordy Masterson, the brother of Ashton’s former ‘That ‘70s Show’ co-star, Danny Masterson.

But sources claim that Ashton did not become the most popular guy on the set of ‘Two And A Half Men’ just because he gave everyone a fun night with plenty of booze. The crew just genuinely likes him! A source tells Us Weekly:

“Everybody is loving Ashton on the set… He’s really coming off like a cool low maintenance guy, and with everything that went down with Charlie everyone is breathing a sigh of relief.”

The source adds:

“He jokes with the crew, has no tantrums, he comes in well studied in his lines — it’s such a nice change. So far there have been no issues and everyone is really happy with how it’s working out… Nobody is missing Charlie right now.”

Good job, Ashton! Keep it up and you’ll probably end up getting even more digits on your paychecks than Charlie ever had!

During the funeral, it’s explained that Charlie Harper slips on the Paris subway right on the path of an oncoming train, which literally blows him apart in a “meat explosion”.

And that spells the gruesome end for poor Charlie Harper…as gruesome an end that Charlie Sheen nemesis and “Two And A Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre could come up with as a final word.

Entertainment news hears he insisted on personally choreographing it into the script.
