Cher‘s supposed death is just one of the many hoaxes of celebrity demises that’s been spreading through social media channels, but this one takes the particular cake because Kim Kardashian just happened to cotton on to the rumor, and made things worse by spreading what appeared to be concern over the 65-year-old Oscar winner’s passing throughout her network of 12.8 million followers…

“Did I just hear Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG.”

Kim tweeted a few hours ago.

“I hope this is a twitter joke and not true. I don’t see it on the news anywhere. I’m praying its not true…”

Her millions of followers took up the cry, of course, and wouldn’t you just know it… “RIP Cher” started trending on Twitter today.

Typical of Kim Kardashian. Is she trying, in her own transparently spiteful way, to get back at Cher for wanting to “drop kick those KARDASHIAN b*tches down the freeway” when her beloved only daughter son, Chaz Bono was competing against Rob Kardashian in “Dancing With The Stars?”

We wouldn’t put it past her, really. But wouldn’t it be loads better if she would use her Twitter account and millions of followers to spread good like Justin Bieber does?

Cher, bless her heart, isn’t one to take offense at reports of her death, because she sent a series of tweets detailing her life in the “hereafter”:

“Well here i am tweeting from the HereAfter! Its very Blue up here & thank God they gave me a view of the Sea,Palm trees & a Balinese house”

She quipped on her account.

“Lets tweet Later ’cause even though im JUST a Spirit im Hungry!!! Going 2 have a Tostada salade ! WONDER What they’re serving Down THERE?”

You can’t fault Cher for being without a sense of humor, even with someone like Kim Kardashian dogging her tail, and because:

“LOVELIES,.Im not going ANYWHERE TILL I FINISH THIS FKNG ALBUM ! The ONLY RIP I KNOW HOW 2 DO IS “RIP IT UP! KICK ASS & TAKE NO PRISONERS !”

Way to go, Cher! We know whose prominent behind you’re referring about kicking, too…

In case you didn’t know, Cher‘s beloved Chaz is in stiff competition against the Kardashian‘s beloved only boy Rob in the reality dance off that is “DWTS”.

Cher has been defending her daughter son against haters who’ve been throwing vitriol her his sex-changed way since the contestants for Season 13 were announced in two months ago, and Cher has segued her defense into offense by taking pot shots at contestant Rob Kardashian and his Kardashian Klan supporters, as well.

“I don’t watch reality ! Never saw a Kardashian but these Bitches should b Drop kicked down a freeway !Not kidding! Nos I no r this Fkn nuts”

Cher tweeted earlier this week.

Now that’s the Grammy-Emmy-Oscar-Golden Globes-Cannes Film Festival-award winning-Bob Mackie costume wearing Cherilyn Sarkisian we know.

Except that she must’ve have mellowed down in her 65 years on earth because she quickly back-pedaled with:

“DONT Hate THEM dont know THEM!RT”

and

“Let me be clear ! Am not Hate’n Kardashian Fam.Don’t know them! Bridezilla’s crazy Bitches!Saw Brother onDWTS & my friend told me bout girls”

in response to several reactions from her 379,000 followers that celebrity news surmises numbered among Kim Kardashian‘s 10 million plus Twitter fans.

Cher, Hollywood icon that you are, you’re still dealing with the Kardashians here. They are a force unto themselves, so unless you want to get buried…well, let’s leave it at that.

Hollywood gossip websites read some of the Academy-award winner’s tweets, and they were all aimed at people who’ve been taking potshots at heavyset Chaz‘s attempts to dance his way to fame and fortune on television. Most prominently, Cher defended her son, formerly known as Chastity Bono, for his decision to have a sex change towards his gender of choice.

“This is Still America right? It took guts 2 do it,”

tweeted an infuriated Cher.

“Mothers don’t stop Getting angry with stupid bigots who (mess) with their children!”

She further slammed viewers and self-proclaimed Christians who’ve reacted to ABC’s choice of Chaz as a contestant, saying it was “disgusting” and “offensive” to audiences.

For his part, Chaz is plugging gamely on, describing himself as “the luckiest guy around,” and thanking his fans and his mom for all their support.

“Thanks for all your support mom. The haters are just motivating me to work harder and stay on DWTS as long as I possibly can.”

Way to go, Chaz. And while you’re at it, make like Kirstie Alley and drop 50 pounds or so.

Mother and son held a private screening of Becoming Chaz, a documentary film detailing Chaz’s decision to become a man through a sex change operation. The screening was held at Cher’s home with only close friends in attendance.

According to a family friend, Cher let her feelings be known during the screening:

“I admire my son Chaz‘s courage for sharing his personal journey. Most important to me is that he is very happy. That’s what I care about the most. He has my love and support.”

Chaz previously came out of the closet at the age of 18, and in March 2009 at the age of 40, underwent a series of sex change procedures that transformed him from Chastity to Chaz. He also legally changed his name to go with his new gender.

Cher, 64, shows off her impressive body! Can you believe she’s 64? Cher plays Tess in the musical, a retired dancer who owns the neo-burlesque club. For those who aren’t old enough, I would image most of us, Cher has been around for decades! She has won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, three Golden Globes, a Cannes Film Festival Award, and a People’s Choice Award for her work in film, music and television!

As for Christina, she looks amazing as usual.

Cher was one of the presenters at the VMA; she presented the “Moonman” award to Lady Gaga. It was a rather touching moment with Gaga letting loose her soft side…

Gaga: “I never thought I’d be asking Cher to hold my meat purse,” a tearful Gaga said at the podium in a bacon-colored outfit.

“I promised that if I won this tonight, I’d announce the name of my new record,” she said. After exhaling, Gaga revealed it is titled Born This Way. Then, she belted out a refrain as Cher looked on. “God makes no mistakes,” she sang. “I’m on the right track baby. I was born this way.”

Wouldn’t you want to be able to reveal like Cher at 64? If I looked this good T 64, I would definitely show it! Bravo Cher!

In Burlesque, Christina stars as a young small-town Midwestern girl ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer.  Burlesque hits theaters on November 24th, 2010. This is Christina’s first feature film.

Do you think Christina will do as good in acting than in her music?
I bet she will, it seems to be right up her alley, it’s a musical.  Christina has done lots of TV appearances as a kid and as an adult, she’s appeared both on TV and in films. Although we mostly know Christina of her music.

“Yes, it’s true — Chaz, after many years of consideration, has made the courageous decision to honor his true identity,” confirmed Bono‘s publicist, Howard Bragman. “He is proud of his decision and grateful for the support and respect that has already been shown by his loved ones. It is Chaz‘s hope that his choice to transition will open the hearts and minds of the public regarding this issue, just as his ‘coming out’ did nearly 20 years ago. We ask that the media respect Chaz‘s privacy during this long process as he will not be doing any interviews at this time.”

Why is everyone call her a he already? Don’t we have to wait until the transformation is complete? And also — what does Cher think of all this?

Cher!  Can you see Cher in a leather suit, bearing whips and purring?  Not sure if I can, but I’m sure the gay community can!  Supposedly the director/writer or whatever he is Nolan, wants to get Cher as an aging, has been.  That would be a great twist on the character…she would really have attitude then! 

No word from Cher’s camp how serious the franchise is in going after her.  With Depp as a co-star, you know the movie will be of the same caliber as The Dark Knight and what Heath Ledger brought to the movie.

The two dated between 1983-1986, as it was “after Risky Business and right before The Color of Money,” and it was the Martin Scorsese flick that proved to be fatal to their relationship.

“I couldn’t go to Chicago and that was kind of the straw that broke the camel’s back,” Cher, the 61-year-old says.

Although Cher found Tom, now 45, “amazing” and truly “loved” him back then, she sure doesn’t feel that way now as she wonders where Cruise she once knew went.

“When we were together he was such a private person. Now it’s hard for me to look at this person and this press. How many times can I watch him jumping up and down on Oprah’s couch?” – OK
