Wrigley’s has officially dumped Chris Brown. Chris Brown and Wrigley’s cemented a deal with Brown last year where he served as the chewing gum’s spokesperson even with the company using his song “Forever” as part of their ad campaign. While, yes, it was widely reported that Wrigley’s dropped Brown immediately after the bloodied photos of Rihanna surfaced, a spokesman said they were merely “concerned.”

Chris Brown has finally formally apologized. In a taped video for TMZ.com, Brown sits down, looks into the camera and says he’s so sorry for being his ex-girlfriend Rihanna to a pulp earlier this year. After the court proceeding Chris Brown and Rihanna are working on becoming friends. Although there’s a clause saying Chris Brown can’t be within 50 yards of Rihanna, both parties think it’s silly. Although there isn’t anyway the two are going to hop back into bed together, somehow Rihanna has found it in her to forgive him. God bless her.

Rihanna will be feet away from Chris Brown as she retells the events of February 8th, the night police were called to a swank neighborhood in Los Angeles and were met with a bruised, bloody Rihanna.

Chris Brown’s lawyer is looking through police records to see who’s behind the leaked Rihanna photo. Mark Geragos, Brown’s lawyer, is still hoping to get Chris off the hook through some technicality. He filed two motions gaining access to all LAPD police records yesterday. If he finds any misconduct, Geragos plans to get the case dismissed. Oh, for crying out loud.

This is what Geragos had to say (via usmagazine.com):

Chris Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, would like the Chris Brown/Rihanna case dropped. Geragos claims the leaked photos of a battered, bruised Rihanna back in February could prove that there was “outrageous governmental misconduct.”

Chris Brown and his legal team have been in and out of court once a month since the February assault. According to usmagazine.com, next up is a court visit in May, then a preliminary hearing in June, and the court will then decide if there’s enough evidence for the case to go to trial.

Chris Brown was spotted around Hollywood with a new girlfriend. According to friends, Chris‘ new woman, Erica Jackson, is an ex-girlfriend and college student at the University of Mary Washington. The pair met in Virginia, where Chris is from, and dated briefly before Brown hit the big time and traded up for Rihanna. Friends say Erica is “no Rihanna” adding that she’s sort of a “plain Jane” (ouch)
