Heads up, COURTENEY COX.

After less than a year of dating, David Arquette and his post-separation girlfriend, Christina McLarty (who split from ex-husband Joe Francis in 2010), have broken up. The actor announced on Twitter:

“Sadly I’m single again. A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult”

Arquette is still legally married to Courteney Cox, though. So he’s technically not single.

We’re kind of hoping they’ll get back together now.

Damn… that’s quite a dry spell.

In an interview with Howard Stern back in October 2010, David admitted that he cried after the first time he had sex with someone else besides Courteney after the separation.

Courteney, on the other hand, has yet to find out if she’s going to have a post-coital weep like her estranged husband… because she hasn’t had sex with anyone since they split up!

During her phone-in interview with Howard Stern, Courteney was asked if she was still holding to her vow to remain abstinent throughout her separation. Courteney replied:

“I’m holding to it… I’ve not had a man since David.”

She added:

“I’m really not ready… It’s hard. I was in a marriage for a very long time.”

When asked if she had been asked out by anyone, Courteney said:

“No guy’s asked me out. I’m not saying I’m not ready to have a make-out session, but it just makes me nervous… I don’t like to go out in general.”

Courteney continued:

“I have sexual feelings, and there’s ways to deal with that… It’s time for me to get out there. It’s not easy to meet people. They don’t call me.”

Courteney also revealed that David, who’s now seeing “Girls Gone Wild” creator Joe Francis’ ex-wife, Christina McLarty, has been encouraging her to start dating. She shared:

“He says to me, ‘Courteney, it’s time, get out there.’ He wants me to date now… He’s comfortable with whoever that would be.”

Wow. Aren’t Courteney and David just the friendliest exes ever?

Wasn’t it nice of Courteney to support David like that? They might just be the friendliest separated couple in all of Hollywood.

David, who checked into rehab in January last year following the announcement of his split from longtime spouse Courteney Cox, is now one year sober, and he decided to celebrate the achievement by taking his estranged wife and their daughter Coco out to dinner.

The former couple headed out to Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills and celebrated with Coco and David’s sisters, Patricia Alexis and Rosanna Arquette.

Strangely enough, Christina McLarty, David’s girlfriend, was nowhere to be found.

David also took to Twitter to announce his good news:

“Today marks 1 year of sobriety for me… I thank God for the strength and guidance and my family and friends for their love and support & I TY (thank you).”

Sorry guys—looks like there won’t be a reunion between David and his estranged wife COURTENEY COX anytime soon.

David is now dating Joe Francis’ ex, “Entertainment Tonight” reporter Christina McLarty. The couple was first spotted out in public back in July, and they’ve been together ever since.

In an interview with Howard Stern, the actor gushed:

“She’s adorable. I’m not one to run around with different girls. I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good.”

He added:

“We try to see each other as much as possible.”

David separated from Courteney in October 2011 after 11 years together while Christina’s two-month marriage to Joe ended in 2010.

Wait… is this a show based on their decade-long marriage?

Courteney and David were together for a solid 11 years before announcing their separation last October. The former couple remains amicable, despite all the drama about David talking about their sex life on radio shows, and him going to rehab, and all that other stuff.

In fact, Courteney and David are friendly enough to develop a sitcom show under their joint production company Coquette Productions. According to reports, David may be starring in the show, while Courteney will only stay behind the scenes.

Is this a recipe for disaster? Probably not. Courteney and David have both been very open about their continued affection for each other. After David finished rehab, Courteney said:

“Oh my God, I’m so proud of him! Best he’s ever looked! He’s so cute that I’m like, dude, I don’t understand. Really?! Why are you that cute right now?”

The former “Friends” star also said in an interview with David Letterman:

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen, I really don’t. We’re getting along so well that I hate to, like, rock the boat.”

Aawww. Despite everything, it would be nice if they would reunite… for real.

Alas, no, Cox made the mistake of going on HOWARD STERN who planted the idea in the couple’s head.

“That would just hurt me, because I have a real thing about friends. She’s one of my very best friends, so that would be weird. I would think that she cares too much about me to let that happen,” Cox added.

“I’m not going to get her,” Arquette interjected. “I don’t want her.”

Whew. Glad that one’s cleared up! Do you think Arquette and Cox will eventually get back together?

Courteney joining her estranged husband, David for a radio interview on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show Thursday morning, April 14; the “Scream 4″ actress claims that her estranged husband was too obsessed with having sex with her.

When asked about him hitting on her during their Disney World trip with daughter Coco:

Courteney went on to say, “This is one of our problems in our relationship;” “Whenever I would need consoling from David, he could not literally put his arm around me for one second without completely getting a boner.”

David defended himself, “I’m always ready for [Courteney].”

When David later said to Court, “we just need to figure out next steps”, Courteney responded, “Wow, that’s heavy.” She went on to say, “You can’t count [Disney World] as the place where you know I’m not into you. I had just woken up. I don’t think [sexual attraction] is the issue. The truth of the matter is that we love each other so much. We have such affection for each other but we are very different.”

Courteney went on to say that she’s more of an introvert and David is very out-going. And they are just very different.

As to whether Courteney has had sex after their separation?

The Cougar Town actress insisted she hasn’t.

It’s too bad. Arquette really seems to love her. Different? We are all different. I really hope they can iron things out.

“Listen, I tried to f*** her, and she doesn’t even want me. [I thought], this is the happiest place on Earth! Let’s make it happier!”

Cox‘s response?

“He did try to hit on me. He hit pretty hard. and I said, ‘No more fast pass right now. Not that ride! Dude, that’s not really for anyone to know. He’s somethin’ else,” she continued, adding that Arquette is “over 100 days sober now. He’s doing great.”

Although their reps are insisting they are just friends and not lovers. But Hopkins’ congressman dad is giving his thumbs up to the new romance:

The Kentucky Congressman, Larry Hopkins tells RadarOnline.com: “I would approve of it.” “They are both very good looking people.”

Josh’s dad said he doesn’t know for a fact if his son is dating Courteney but says he always speaks very highly of Cox, 46.

“I know he likes her and is very fond of her. He’s said she’s a very nice person,” Hopkins said.

“If he approves of her, then I approve of her.”

Cox, 46, and Hopkins, 40, play on-screen lovers in the hit show Cougar Town and photos of playing in the Caribbean Sea in St. Bart’s suggest their on-screen romance has become an off-screen reality.

Josh, if you didn’t know went on a series of dates with Courteney’s BFF Jennifer Aniston last year after they met on-set following Jen’s cameo on the show.

“I know he went out on some dates with Jennifer Aniston, but I don’t know any of the details,” Larry confirmed.

“I assume everyone he dates is serious.”

Courteney’s six-year-old daughter, Coco and some of the couple’s mutual friends from the show were also there with them.

David has professed his love for Courteney still. She has also said she would be devastated without him. What gives?

The estranged couple was spotted at a popular Malibu flower mart. They have homes in both Malibu and Beverly Hills.

The Scream costars split late last year, sending David into non-stop party mode for several weeks before he voluntarily checked himself into the Betty Ford Center after a wild New Year’s Eve, reported exclusively by RadarOnline.com.

I guess if nothing else. they are friendly and their daughter won’t get caught in the middle of an ugly divorce – if it does happen. Do you think they can work it out since he is out of rehab?

Last year every tabloid reported on Courteney Cox spending a lot of time with one of her c0-stars and Arquette says this fueled his addiction.

“I was angry with my wife. There were tabloid stories coming out about her and someone on her show having, you know, an affair. I thought she was having an affair with someone. Nobody would’ve said something like that if she weren’t.”

While it seems he’s now been convinced she was faithful, he had ego issues with her making more money than him.

“She was on this incredibly successful show, so she made more money than me. I was sort of always in her shadow. And I’d held all this bitterness.”

While we’d love to report a happy ending now, Arquette says he still doesn’t know where he and Courteney stand. Only that he loves his wife and hopes they can work it out.

David Arquette has been coping with women and alcohol, finally checking himself into a rehab clinic on New Years Day.

So how is Courteney getting by?

“Obviously, my life is kind of crazy right now. I think as I get older, I’m probably getting a little more sensitive. It might be getting harder in some ways. Thank god for the show,” she said. “There have been times where [Cougar Town creator] Bill Lawrence has said, ‘Do you need a break?’ I’m like, are you kidding? This is my saving grace!”

Cox and Arquette have yet to announce whether or not they are divorcing or just taking a break.

“I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life,” Courteney tells People magazine. “I love and support him.”

Arquette, 39, and the Cougar Town star, 46, separated in October. David is dad to their 6-year-old daughter Coco. A source has told People recently that David hasn’t been handling the separation well and he’s been really depressed.

Cox said of her holiday plans:

“Jen and Courteney are tired after a long year. They celebrated Christmas [with] each other and just focused on making things special for Coco,” Cox’s six-year-old daughter with Arquette. “We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great,” Cox explained. “It’s funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer [who] has gone through it [with ex-husband, Brad Pitt]. I don’t know what’s going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don’t know what’s going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure.”

“Courteney and her beau and costar Brian Van Holt are planning a cozy getaway, likely in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, or Hawaii, joined by her daughter Coco, and a nanny. While David is heartbroken his family will be away for the holidays, “Courteney needs this badly,” says a friend. “She intends to make this an amazing time with Brian. She says that Brian makes her feel wonderfully free and sexy,” says another source. “Courteney is having a blast for a change.”

They definitely look very amicable. Courteney and David were high-fiving each other after Courteney bowled.

Despite her ex’ accusations, the two were spotted on the set joking and laughing together as they filmed their show. Seriously does it matter when he (David) had openly admitted to have bedded different women during their separation?

What is worse? Physically bedding someone or just emotionally involved? What’s emotional affair anyway? Tempted but no-action?

Would you consider emotional affair as being the same as cheating in a relationship? I guess no one is cheating here as they are both separated.

Do you think Courteney should just fall for Brian instead? Then again there is this prenup.. I mean no prenuptial agreement between Courteney and David.. Sticky..

While the actress laments going on dates and worries that she’s too “shy” she added:

“I’m just working and looking for some calm and some time to sit back and reflect. You know what would be really hard for me? To go out with someone who I thought was too handsome — someone who, in every way, looks better than I do. That would be really uncomfortable.”

Cox still asserts that she isn’t looking to divorce Arquette. It seems like they just needed a little bit of a break to sleep with other people. Hey – whatever works for them!

As the story goes, Brad picked up the phone to call Courteney and offer his condolences at the ending of her marriage to David Arquette. While he saw this as just a friendly gesture, Angelina was furious.

“Sources close to the couple say that super-jealous Angelina angrily accused Brad of contacting Courteney as a cover to rekindle his ties to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston!

Now a suspicious Angelina, 35, is demanding that Brad stop speaking to both Courteney and her estranged husband, David Arquette, both of whom he’s known for years.

“Angie flew into a rage when Brad admitted he called Courteney – and she accused him of using the Arquette split to reach out to Jen,” says an insider. “Angie said she wouldn’t be surprised if Jen was sitting right next to Courteney when he called!”

Hm. I don’t know if I buy this story. I’d like to think Angelina Jolie has far too many things to think about then whether or not Brad Pitt calls a friends, but it’s amusing nonetheless.
