Isn’t this like kind of a demotion of sorts for somebody who used to be part of a worldwide singing sensation and a judge on “The X Factor” down under?

The British pop singer, songwriter, actress, author and television presenter must be fresh out of jobs after the birth of her third child last September, and is willing to cram her tight bod behind the scenes among the contestants…

Not that she hasn’t been there before, Mel B. once made it to the grand final of the U.S. “Dancing With The Stars” in 2007, so she’s used to the pressure a contestant feels before going onstage.

“Doing Dancing With The Stars in America changed me,”

Mel admitted in an interview.

“I’ve danced all my life, and, of course, with the Spice Girls, but there was something so intoxicating about learning to dance in such a classic, trained way. It was intense, but I loved every moment. I’m still annoyed I didn’t win!”

And how did that non-win change her life?

“As any contestant on DWTS will tell you, it does change your life. I will be bringing my experiences to the show, and will be very protective of this year’s group.”

Scary Spice? Protective?

Guess being a mom thrice over brings out that instinct in you. And after having been soured out on American television, maybe Australian reality television will be kinder to Melanie Brown…

Was this the reason why Rob and partner Cheryl Burke got three perfect 10′s from the judges? Because they were so inspired by her presence?

On the other hand, maybe judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Len Goodman were so busy staring at Kim in amazement, they never really got to take a closer look at Rob‘s freestyle number…

Kim was flanked by momager, Kris Jenner, and sisters, Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.

Oddly enough, Kim was dressed in a suit…none of her skintight and flirty numbers…to cheer her brother on, and she didn’t display any outright exuberance, either as she politely clapped and bared some teeth for Rob. Would’ve looked suspicious if she didn’t…and even more so if she didn’t show up at all.

Apparently, her somber face wasn’t working enough to stir up public sympathy to her “plight.” But she still has one more card up her sleeve: she’s planning to use the soon-to-premiere season of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” to publicly bash Kris Humphries as a verbally abusive and belittling sort of husband.

But will that strategy keep her detractors from signing the “No More Kardashian” petition that has swelled to 165,700 signatures, to date?

On the latest episode of “DWTS,” Rob and his partner, Cheryl Burke, took the floor and wowed the audience with their samba moves, which the 24-year-old Kardashian accentuated with a few shakes of his enviable booty.

Before heading out to the “DWTS” dance floor to get his samba on, Rob said:

“In the past, I got points off for sticking my butt out, but in the samba, it’s a lot of hip action, a lot of booty shaking… Apparently, my butt is my secret weapon in the samba. I feel like I’m in the perfect position now… It’s my time to peak.”

After the pair’s performance, a stunned Carrie Ann Inaba—one of the “Dancing With the Stars” judges—exclaimed:

“Who are you? What was that?! [At first] I thought this might not be so good… but holy cow, it’s booty-booty-bootylicious!”

Meanwhile, Bruno Tonioli said:

“Beyond the rainbow and exceeding all expectations. That’s how you turn a handicap into an asset. Once you started shaking it, there’s no stopping you. Keep using that butt!”

According to entertainment news, Rob and Cheryl scored a 28 out of 30—their highest score so far—for their energetic samba routine.

Recently booted from “DWTS,” Chaz has been the subject of so much hate because of his transgender status that his mom, Oscar winner Cher actually stepped in to to verbally slam Chaz‘s detractors. And now, they’re trying to kill him off…Chaz has had enough.

Chaz has had his lawyer send a cease and desist letter to the Enquirer, accusing it of defamation and a retraction and apology for it’s headline telling the whole world Chaz has only four years to live because of liver damage.

“This is absolutely outrageous, false, fabricated, and highly defamatory,”

Chaz‘s lawyer, Dina LaPolt, said in the letter.

“The salacious and inflammatory headline and article were crafted for the malicious purpose of discriminating against our client’s gender and sexual orientation.”

The Enquirer article detailed Chaz‘s failing health due to “obesity, testosterone supplements, and high suicide rates among transgender people” which all contribute to increasing “Chaz‘s risk of an early death.”

Celebrity news is sure Chaz expected a lot of criticism for his choices thrown his way, but a death prediction?

The Enquirer had better print a retraction, pronto!

One thing’s for certain…Kirstie‘s no prude, but does star news think she can convincingly play a Hollywood whore?

Maybe an aging one? Oh, wait…she’ll be a biz executive who is running a secret L.A. call girl service out of a department store. Can you chew on that?

Of course we can’t take the title of the play literally. It may be an alliteration of some sort. We’re sure Lance Bass will tell us all about it in good time. Still, Kirstie, despite the Emmy she received in TV’s “Cheers”, will be entering into the heretofore unknown arena of the stage, where critics are more ascerbic, to put it kindly.

On Monday, Kim got a little too enthusiastic with her sisterly support and tweeted:

“OMG I have @JustinBieber ‘s phone #!!!! 800 8683402! CALL HIM! He’s taking calls for the next hour!!!!”

Obviously, Kim was just trying to be a good sister by helping her brother win the competition. But the other “DWTS” contestants weren’t too happy when they learned about her deceitful tweet. An insider told RadarOnline.com:

“It is totally unfair that Kim did that… The other celebs on the show don’t send out fake information to trick people into voting.”

The source added:

“Some of the contestants think that Rob should be disqualified for having his family cheat like that for him.”

Later that day, Kim set the record straight:

“Ok guys obviously I’m joking, that’s not Justin‘s #! But seriously call & vote for @RobKardashian & @CherylBurke 800 8683402!!! Xoxo”

Sure, Kim was just joking. But it’s still pretty unfair. After all, how many votes did she get for Rob with her little “joke”?

Star news doesn’t see much of a difference in Ricki.  Still, it’s only 20 pounds. But’s it’s way more than Chaz Bono‘s five pound weight loss, or even Nancy Grace‘s….who we think didn’t even lose a thing except some unfortunately draped pieces of clothing.

“I’m definitely a size six now,”

Ricki, who used to weigh 270 pounds, revealed in excitement.

“I’ll probably be a size four by the end of it. It’s come to the point where it doesn’t matter. I no longer wear Spanx.”

We’re guessing six weeks of competitive dancing is going to get anyone to the dress size of their dreams. Question is, how long will it last after they’re eliminated, or after this season ends?

Kristin, you’re being a bit sourgrape-y, but we totally agree with you!

Despite her consistently stellar performances, Kristin was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night.

The former “Laguna Beach” star, who scored 24 out of 30 points for her samba routine with partner Mark Ballas, expressed shock and dismay at her unexpected elimination. She tells Us Weekly:

“I’m really sad… But I’d rather go out on top and have people be shocked than have people be like, ‘Thank god she’s leaving, it’s about time.’ It was the best experience I’ve ever had. I could not be happier that I did the show.”

Obviously, Kristin and Mark were eliminated due to a lack of audience votes, because they got really high points from the judges.  The reality star says:

“It is what it is… That’s the thing with Dancing with the Stars, you never know. It’s clearly not a dance competition!”

She has a point. If it were a true dance competition, Chaz Bono would have been the one to get eliminated since he’s been consistently getting low scores for the past three weeks and was in fact the lowest scorer this week.

Anyway, it’s a good thing Kristin’s ex-fiancé Jay Cutler chose this week to watch her perform.

In case you didn’t know, Cher‘s beloved Chaz is in stiff competition against the Kardashian‘s beloved only boy Rob in the reality dance off that is “DWTS”.

Cher has been defending her daughter son against haters who’ve been throwing vitriol her his sex-changed way since the contestants for Season 13 were announced in two months ago, and Cher has segued her defense into offense by taking pot shots at contestant Rob Kardashian and his Kardashian Klan supporters, as well.

Cher tweeted earlier this week.

Except that she must’ve have mellowed down in her 65 years on earth because she quickly back-pedaled with:

in response to several reactions from her 379,000 followers that celebrity news surmises numbered among Kim Kardashian‘s 10 million plus Twitter fans.

Could this be his attempt to woo her back?

Despite the fact that they are broken up, Jay was sitting in the “DWTS” audience on Monday night, clapping and smiling brightly as Kristin performed a Samba routine to Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” with her partner, Mark Ballas.

The former couple called off their wedding in late July (right after Kristin did a wedding gown photo shoot), but Gossip Cop has learned that they have been spending a lot of time together recently and that they are “working on things” between them.

Nope, entertainment news today learned. It seems Billy pushed his wife to go on the reality show and her condition was that he’s get himself sterilized if she won. And with Chynna and her partner Tony Dovolani vowing to “make love on the dance floor” to get one up on the competition, it looks like Billy Baldwin‘s soon to get the cut himself.

That’s too bad, isn’t it. If Chynna and Tony win, that’ll be the end of all that branch of the Baldwin genes that’ve driven hordes of women crazy during the 80′s and 90′s…

Rob blew the lid off this exclusive story he’s been keeping under wraps until now at “The Mojo In The Morning Show,” star news has learned.

“I know some of the couples on the show, some of the celebrities that are married, that are..and some professionals that are married…that are having an affair with their partner.”

Rob said, but although he and partner Cheryl Burke are both single, he says they haven’t jumped into a relationship at all.

When pressed by the interviewer, Rob declined to name the couples involved. So wow, we guess that’ll only keep us glued to “DWTS” even more to try and decipher any hint of sexual chemistry going on, even if it’s just Nancy Grace giving her partner Tristan McManus an eyeful of generous nip slip nipple petal.

Poor girl.

Elisabetta clearly isn’t having the best year. First she got dumped—and was immediately replaced—by George Clooney… and now, according to entertainment news, she’s been booted off “DWTS.”

After only two episodes.

And the worst part is, she didn’t even deserve to go. Elisabetta actually scored pretty high this time around—she and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy scored a surprising 21 out of 30 for their quickstep routine on Monday night.

Guess America just wasn’t feeling Elisabetta and Val…

After her elimination, the Italian beauty said:

“For me, it was a gift every day staying here. It was a great adventure… I want to thank everybody because they made me come here. Thanks to the public and to everybody who voted for us. Now I am really nervous, but thank you anyway. It was a great experience.”

On the dance floor, that is.

Rob pulled himself out of his bottom three funk when he shined on the “Dancing With The Stars” dance floor during Monday’s episode. The reality star, who performed a spectacular jive dance routine with his partner Cheryl Burke, received some serious praise from “DWTS” judge Carrie Ann Inaba. She said:

“It’s official, Rob Kardashian is a better dancer than Kim Kardashian!”

Carrie Ann added:

“No disrespect to Kim. But you have the dancing gene, honey. It’s nice to see your confidence coming out.”

The other judges, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli agreed, saying that Rob was starting “to blossom” and was showing “great improvement.”

Rob is under a lot of pressure to succeed at this latest gig, especially due to the fact that his family is always in the public eye—especially his famous sisters, who are all repeatedly featured on celebrity gossip websites. So it’s really no surprise that he reportedly had a problem with nerves prior to the show’s first episode.

Although he seems to have overcome his anxiety (judging from his improved performance on Monday night), he admits that he’s still really “scared.” During rehearsal, Rob admitted:

“I’m scared as hell… The jive is pretty hard for me because I don’t feel great about myself at all. To be in front of a bunch of people knowing like I’m insecure with my weight, and I say I have man boobs jokingly, but it’s true… [Being surrounded by] all these dancers who are in great shape, it’s just hard to be around and [then] put yourself out there like that.”

Rob and Cheryl scored 21 out of 30 for their dance routine—a good four points higher than their first effort last week.

After Rob’s first performance on “DWTS” earned him a spot in the bottom three, Kourtney voiced her outrage on Twitter:

“There is NO way Rob Kardashian was trending worldwide last night and in the bottom 3. Impossible! HOW IS ELISABETTA SAFE?!??! HOW?! Seriously!!!”

Her younger sis Khloe immediately responded:

“So odd.”

Actually, it really is. Elisabetta and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy only scored 15 points—just one point higher than Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace and his partner Petra Murgatroyd, who were eliminated on Monday’s “DWTS” episode. She scored lower than Rob and Nancy Grace, and yet she was not included in the bottom three.

When one fan asked Khloe (via Twitter) why Rob was in the bottom three and not Elisabetta, the reality star replied:

“Shows are rigged all the time.”

As for Kim, she refrained from bashing anyone and merely tweeted:

“This just can’t be! Rob in the bottom three is impossible! He did soooo good!”

Stacy would know, because the former WWE wrestler was a Season 2 “Dancing With The Stars” contestant, a position Elisabetta now finds herself in…

Does leggy Stacy somehow feel sorry for the woman George dumped not so long ago? Or is she trying to make nice to someone who’s “been there and done that”, hoping the same karma won’t visit her anytime soon?

Stacy advised Elisabetta via celebrity news.

Stacy knows what she’s talking about. She’s harnessed all the focus and energy she used in wrestling to place third on DWTS Season 2. Perhaps that very same level of focus and energy she used to snare elusive bachelor George Clooney.

Kristin and Mark reportedly had dinner together at Marix Tex Mex Café in Hollywood last week, and they were pretty darn chummy. An eyewitness reveals:

“[Kristin and Mark] were all over each other. She was sitting on his lap while he was nuzzling her neck. They were having dinner with Derek Hough but didn’t pay him any attention. They were consumed with each other. You can tell she is really into him.”

The witness adds:

“Kristin was having a great time! They definitely look like more than friends!”

But this wasn’t the only time Kristin and Mark were spotted looking like a couple. The two attended David Cooley’s birthday in West Hollywood a few days ago, and a source shares:

“[Kristin and Mark] were definitely very comfortable together and extremely flirty. By the end of the night they were being cuddly together in a dark booth. They didn’t leave each other’s side all night and were constantly holding hands and touching.”

Hmm… Could this be a rebound romance? Mark was previously in a relationship with “American Idol” alum Pia Toscano while his rumored new squeeze Kristin recently split from her fiancé Jay Cutler.

Celebrity news has learned that Kim’s little bro is extremely nervous and refuses to put in more rehearsal time. Rob practices with Cheryl for only 2 hours a day, which is less than half the rehearsal time the other contestants are putting in. Sources tell TMZ that Cheryl is reportedly “fed up” because she thinks Rob’s not taking the show seriously.

But despite the fact that he refuses to rehearse more, Rob is reportedly very confident that he can top Kim’s “DWTS” performance, and is claiming that he can last much, much longer than she did.

Oh come on, Rob. Kim had her heightened celebrity status working for her… not to mention her enormous “assets.” So if you really intend on showing her up, start practicing!

Hollywood gossip websites read some of the Academy-award winner’s tweets, and they were all aimed at people who’ve been taking potshots at heavyset Chaz‘s attempts to dance his way to fame and fortune on television. Most prominently, Cher defended her son, formerly known as Chastity Bono, for his decision to have a sex change towards his gender of choice.

“This is Still America right? It took guts 2 do it,”

tweeted an infuriated Cher.

“Mothers don’t stop Getting angry with stupid bigots who (mess) with their children!”

She further slammed viewers and self-proclaimed Christians who’ve reacted to ABC’s choice of Chaz as a contestant, saying it was “disgusting” and “offensive” to audiences.

For his part, Chaz is plugging gamely on, describing himself as “the luckiest guy around,” and thanking his fans and his mom for all their support.

“Thanks for all your support mom. The haters are just motivating me to work harder and stay on DWTS as long as I possibly can.”

Way to go, Chaz. And while you’re at it, make like Kirstie Alley and drop 50 pounds or so.
