Blaine began dangling from a wire over Wollman Rink, the park skating rink on Monday. He kept smiling while describing the “enormous push of blood” that made it feel as though his head was “about to explode.” as reports by AP

A two-hour ABC television special called “David Blaine: Dive of Death” aired last night at 9 pm E.T. also showed footage of David catching a .22-calibre bullet fired from a rifle into a metal cup in his mouth. This got to be as crazy as it gets!

This isn’t the first time, Blaine has pushed the human body to the limit. There was that time when he tried to break the world record for breath holding under water and almost killed himself in the process. He lived in a small tank of water for a week straight. I say he’s got a death wish or something. Don’t try it at home – it’s definitely not normal.

Yes, it’s a magical day today! First we have Criss Angel’s handcuffed himself in car wreck and now we have David Blaine catching a bullet in his mouth. I think I am going to wash my face and stay non-delusional meaning I have to be real and make through my hectic day – life is great even though we’re no magicians.

Submerged in a water-filled sphere on the stage of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” during a live broadcast, Blaine held his breath for 17 minutes and 4 seconds. That bested the previous record of 16 minutes and 32 seconds, set Feb. 10 by Switzerland’s Peter Colat, according to Guinness World Records.

Blaine had a smile on his face soon after his head rose above the water and he took several deep gulps of air. Within about a minute, he was able to hold a microphone and tell Winfrey, “I feel great,” later adding that breaking the record was a fulfillment of “a lifelong dream.”-AP
