This reassurance comes on the heels of Lindsay‘s fifth jail sentence in as many as four years. Maybe this is Dina‘s way of shifting the spotlight back to what’s left of her daughter’s career…which is infinitely better than having her splashed all over Hollywood gossip websites featured as an ex and future con. This is what a good mother does, surely.

But then again, what do you expect of a mom who’s planning to out a graphic tell-all book about the very same daughter, exposing all her deep, dark secrets for the whole world to read?

But that $1 million price tag must have Dina panting to publicize the Playboy deal, even as Lindsay rushed to complete another session of naked celebrity photo shoots before heading over to jail to be incarcerated.

“It will be tastefully done,”

Dina insists.

“She’s been working in front of the camera with Ford Models since she was a little girl so she kinda’ knows how to work that.”

Well, we guess that’s alright, isn’t it? Knowing Dina had slave labor off little Lindsay when she signed her daughter to Ford Models all those years ago, so Playboy may actually be a step up, eh?

Dina is reportedly shopping a tell-all memoir about Lindsay’s alleged drug and alcohol abuse—and she only started hocking it to potential interested parties about two weeks ago, while Lindsay was facing possible incarceration due to her failure to complete the requirements of her probation.

Here are a couple of excerpts obtained by TMZ from the draft of Dina’s book:

“I blamed her friends, her career and her handlers for an (sic) newfound lifestyle of partying excessively.  Drinking, drugging and behaving irresponsibly became Lindsay‘s way of daily living–and it tore me up inside.”

In a part where she explains why she moved Lindsay from New York to Los Angeles when she was very young, Dina wrote:

“How could I deny my daughter the chance of a lifetime?  How could I hold Lindsay back from her dream of becoming an actress?  So, I listened to others and sent my daughter to Hollywood with a few pieces of luggage and a chaperone.”

From what we’ve learned, Dina’s book will center on Lindsay’s long-standing troubles with partying, drinking and drugs… and how she felt helpless as to what she could do to help her.

Unfortunately, the publishers aren’t biting… yet.

She might not prove she is innocent, but since the jewelry store sold the surveillance tape, they shot themselves in the foot anyway!

“She was never going to plead guilty to a crime she didn’t commit,” Dina told RadarOnline.com.

“All along Lindsay has never wavered regarding her innocence.”

In a statement to RadarOnline.com, Holley said that many people felt Lindsay should take the plea, and advised her to do so, but that she was confident the Mean Girls star would be triumphant after having her day in court.

Now Dina is admitting that, yes, Lindsay does have a drug and alcohol addiction but that she’s sober now and doing her best to recover.

“I was around Lindsay a lot, and I saw what was happening. I grabbed the bull by the horns and tried to get her help immediately. I never thought it would be this — the media would be so crazy. I really never thought it would get to this level,” said Dina Lohan. “It’s been really hard on my family, harder than anything. I really think Lindsay was at a maturation level that she now understands what she needs to get from it. And she grasps that.”

Well, let’s hope so. It looks like she’s back with Samantha Ronson so that could be a terrible sign if she relapses after an argument or something. We’ll just have to see.

Now we’ve learned Lohan’s family lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, has been contacted by the Lohan family and it seems Ovadia thinks they have a case:  “They are again using her likeness without her being compensated.”

Oh, Dina. But – hey – everyone’s gotta make a buck, right?

It was rumored earlier this month that Lindsay Lohan was offered a spot on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, and while she doesn’t want to perform on the hits show – we all know there’s someone very close to her that does.

“We are huge fans of the show and think it’s incredible,” Dina said. ”We’ll watch it, but it is not going to happen. Lindsay actually told the woman at Dancing With The Stars who made the offer that ‘you need to take my mom!’

“Lindsay is a great dancer, but she’s taking a break right now. She has been through a lot. Our family loves the show because I’m a dancer, and I taught dance when Lindsay was growing up. I dragged her from one dance studio to another, and she sat in front of the mirrors and watched, while I taught.”

Ugh – oh, please! No Michael or Dina Lohan on reality TV. We need a break.

Gwyneth‘s character on the show was a substitute Spanish teacher and in an effort to help the kids learn Spanish she said a few phrases in the language about Lindsay. One was: Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right? and another: How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab?

Of course, Dina got incredibly angry about this and had her lawyers prepare a document saying the show defamed Lindsay.

I don’t know, it seems like Dina would be sending off legal letters all day if she was really interested in punishing those who talk badly about her daughter.

Michael Lohan hasn’t been quiet about wanting to get a conservatorship going over Lindsay Lohan. I s this how he is going to squeeze Dina out? From Radar Online:

Lindsay Lohan is being advised to cut mom Dina loose from her business empire and acting career if she wants to remain sober, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

“Dina needs to no longer act as her manager, or work for her daughter in any capacity,” a source close to the Hollywood wild child told RadarOnline.com.

“Lindsay needs Dina to simply be her mother.

“Lindsay’s treatment team at Betty Ford has emphasized this to Lindsay, very, very strongly.

Gee, do you think Lindsay is following their advice? I bet not. Do you think Lindsay will cut her mom loose as manager?

Dina has has some wild ideas, but seriously, reality rehab? From Starz Life:

“Not only has Dina been ’shopping’ around her upcoming trip to visit Lindsay in rehab at Betty Ford with her “other” 3 abandoned children, Michael Jr,(22), Ali (16) and Cody (13) to media outlets for the sale of pictures BUT she is doing it to develop a new REALITY SHOW! Dina(48) did this years ago when Lindsay first went into rehab. She sold the footage for an E! Network ‘Special’ and then worked with E! to land her reality show, Living Lohan. Lindsay said her problems were largely caused by a dysfunctional househoold where her dad beat her mom. Hmmm. Why has that not come out before? From Contact Music:

The showbiz patriarch is furious over claims made by his former spouse that an attack on her was witnessed by the couple’s actress daughter – who is currently receiving treatment at the Betty Ford rehab clinic in California – and has insisted their rows were never serious.

Michael – who has three other children with Dina – told X17online: “I think we all know what her accusations are worth, everything out of her mouth is a lie.

“Of course we had arguments in front of the kids and of course we yelled at each other in front of the kids but not once did the kids ever have to step between us to stop an argument.”

I never know who to believe in this circus. Dina - who seems delusional, Michael, who rants about anything for attention or Lindsay, who has serious drug problems and other issues. Who do you believe out of the three?

Michael Lohan was the one to spill the beans about this, so if it is true or not remains to be seen.

Michael Lohan tells RadarOnline.com he’s learned of a plot to put his troubled daughter Lindsay under a conservatorship – and he is fighting mad about it.

The Lohan patriarch said Lindsay – who has reportedly checked into an intensive in-patient rehab program – is facing tough new living and legal situations.

Why would he be mad about it if it helps his daughter? Hasn’t he been preaching that that is what he wants? Maybe a conservatorship will air some more of the Lohan dirty laundry. Do you think a conservatorship is what Lindsay needs?

Michael says he doesn’t care when Dina gets there, he is going anyway. Dina promises to call cops. But what if he is there first?

Lohan tells X17online exclusively:

“I’ll definitely be there for Lindsay. As for Dina’s restraining order against me, it has been in place for six years. We’ve been in the same courtroom before. If she wants to play that game, she can go ahead.”
As a further dig to Dina, Michael says that Lindsay’s mom doesn’t have their daughter’s best interest in mind when it comes to getting Lilo into a proper rehab facility. In response to his ex’s alleged comments about having a team in place to squash Lindsay’s recent problems, Michael tells X17online:

“That’s Dina’s mindset. She thinks that she’s Teflon and nothing can hurt her.”

I’m not sure if listening to Lindsay and Dina at the same time would be painful or interesting. Dina might not be able to cover for Lindsay so much, but then we’d have to hear her each day!

According to a rep at JVC Broadcasting, the radio team is prepared to offer Lindsay and her mom a $1 million check to host the morning show, covering a range of topics from trendy fashion tips to entertainment news.

There would also be an advice hotline for fans to call in with questions.

The rep says the financial documents and terms of agreement have been sent to Lohan’s management team but it is not yet known if the starlet, 24, has accepted.

The show could actually be funny, with Lindsay saying or doing something, then Dina denying it right away. It would be a comedy show! Would you listen to Lindsay on the radio?

When Matt asked if she thinks jail might be good for Lindsay, seeing as LiLo‘s made many of the same mistakes over and over again.

She then goes on to lament the horrid wench of a judge who was “fired” from the case (ed note: she actually left on her own accord) and how she played “hard ball” with Lindsay, adding that her daughter didn’t deserve jail.

According to a source close to the trio, Dina and Ali are running Eleonore ragged.

But now she has to do Dina and Ali Lohan‘s bidding. We’re told Dina “goes on about nothing for days,” constantly rambling about potential business deals. One such “deal” centers around a storage unit Lindsay has with her old clothes and other belongings that don’t fit in her apartment. According to our sources, Dina thinks there’s money to be made off the stuff with a Lohan garage sale.

Throw 16-year-old Ali in the mix and now Eleonore’s got double the errands, pick ups, drop offs, etc … and suddenly someone’s counting down to Lindsay’s release.

Ugh. Sounds like hell on earth. Wonder what Michael Lohan has to say about all this. I go back and forth wondering who is the biggest villian in the Lohan family.

Sure, every mother misses their child, but is Dina doing it up for publicity?

“I was finally able to hug my daughter [last night] after two long weeks of speaking to her from behind a glass wall,” Dina Lohan said on Monday night. “Lindsay is doing well, and is appreciative of the hundreds of well-wishes she has received.”

This is the young actress’ fourth attempt at rehab, and her mother reacted to reports that others in the Lohan clan were not happy about the 11th-hour switch to a different facility. “Lindsay is with the utmost professionals and is in very good hands,” she said. “I refuse to respond to any of my ex-husband’s [Michael Lohan] false allegations about myself or my family.”

Of course, jail isn’t the place for Lindsay! There’s nothing wrong with her, says Dina. Michael knows better and wants her in rehab.

“I know that jail didn’t do anything for me with my addictions,” Michael, 50, said Tuesday on Larry King Live. “[Lindsay] needs help. … The last thing I wanted in the world was for my daughter to go to jail.”

Calling jail too “harsh” for a “young lady like Lindsay,” Michael expressed his faith that his daughter will get her act together. “When she puts her mind to something, she can do anything in the world,” he said.

Lindsay’s mom Dina also disagrees with her daughter’s 90-day jail sentence. “This is so not fair to do this to my child,” Dina told Popeater.

So what does Dina think would be fair? Any person who is not a star would have gotten the jail sentence, why should Lindsay be above it?
