The father is actor Djimon Hounsou who she has been dating since February 2007. Kimora was involved in a rather humiliating split from Russell Simmons last year, after he reportedly cheated on her with some 22-year-old model type. Sigh. Such a cliche.

She told Harper’s Bazaar via UsWeekly that she has a lot of trust issues with men, and after she and Russell split she was understandably frosty toward dating. Perhaps the most surprising part of this news story is what Dijmon was quoted as saying about dating the notorious diva:

My first impression has always been the same, that she’s a very beautiful lady, very capable and intelligent and smart with great family values. She’s the least high-maintenance lady I’ve ever dated.”

Kimora not high-maintnenace? Whaaaa? Who has he been dating for, Godsakes? Hey, we’ve watched “Life In The Fab Lane” and let’s just say Kimora is by no means a simple lady.

Kimora was vague when telling reporters about her plans and her future. But isn’t she always that way? She said he kind of gave her a ring, and that he gave her a bracelet last year. OK, so are they related or what is the point? We don’t find out, because she never directly answered the question.
