“The Five-Year Engagement” opens next week and what else but a red-band trailer would tease the anticipating viewers of the romantic comedy flick more?

The upcoming movie, with Jason Segel and Emily Blunt as the lead stars, focuses on the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” actor and the British star from “Your Sister’s Sister” as they play an engaged couple who just can’t get a break and get married.

EMILY BLUNT looked classy at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of “Your Sister’s Sister”  in New York last Thursday in a lacy red Michael Kors dress.

Last spotted in her pot dress at the Tribeca Film Festival the night before, Emily Blunt definitely looked the part as the star of her latest project “Your Sister’s Sister” when she arrived for its red carpet premiere Thursday wearing a long-sleeved below-the-knee lace dress from the Michael Kors Fall 2012 collection.

The British actress complimented her dress with a caramel Louis Vuitton clutch, a thin tan belt around her waist and strappy Christian Louboutin sandals of the same shade.

The 29-year-old star finished her look with a loose wavy updo with a flirty tendril on one side, brown shadows, pale pink lips and gold Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

Red definitely agrees with Emily, but even she has to admit that it seems to hide her gorgeous figure.

Emily was stunning—albeit a little predictable (this is the second time we’ve seen her wearing this type of silhouette)—in her Jason Wu dress, which featured beautiful green embroidery on the bodice and a flared skirt.

To punch up the dress, Emily added a thin black belt with a sparkly buckle, green pointed-toe Alice + Olivia pumps, a pair of Lorraine Schwartz drop earrings, and a black Valentino clutch.

A slick updo, dramatic eyeliner, and a bright fuchsia lipstick finished Emily’s red carpet look.

Last seen at the 2012 Oscars in a striking jade green gown, Emily Blunt joined co-star Ewan McGregor on the red carpet at the premiere of their new rom-com drama film in a strapless black and white Naeem Khan dress, which she paired with ankle-strap Giovanni Rossi heels accented with little black bows.

Blunt accessorized the outfit with understated Chopard jewelry.

A sleek bob and pink lips completed her look.

Emily was one of the very few actresses who opted to wear color on the red carpet. The sexy British actress, who attended the SAG Awards with husband John Krasinski, looked great in a refreshingly bright jade green Oscar de la Renta one-shouldered chiffon gown, which she paired with silver Jimmy Choo heels, a blush pink Swarovski clutch, and gold bangles.

Emily completed the look with a simple updo, soft eye makeup, and a bright coral lipstick.

Retro screen siren waves would have looked better with this look, though. Or even some good ol’ fashioned curls…

The 28-year-old star of “The Devil Wears Prada” is the new face of YSL’s Opium perfume, and while she says she’s honored to represent the iconic brand, she’s hard-pressed to believe she’s the right person for the role that’s been held in the past by burlesque performer Dita von Teese, a-totally-naked-except-for-stilletos Sophie Dahl, British model Karen Elson, and French actress Melanie Thierry …

“God, I’m so un-French in that trailer,”

Emily laments to U.K.’s The Daily Telegraph.

“There was no one else? They made a mistake, a terrible mistake.”

This despite YSL president Renaud de Lesquen saying in an official press release that:

“She quite obviously embodies who we feel to be today’s Opium woman.”

And what does the often blunt Emily say to that?

“I think that I’ve been wanting to make sure that when I did it, it would be the right thing,”

she says with mock trepidation.

“I’d been asked to do a couple of things but none were as classy as this. And I got to work with a leopard! ”

Imagine that.

The ‘You’re Beautiful’ hitmaker and The Devil Wears Prada star, who are friends but not related, dreamed up a plan to send the gossip mills into overtime, because they are always mistaken for being from the same family.

Emily, 24, says, “James Blunt and I are thinking of starting a rumour in the press that we are actually related but that we hate each other, and neither of us is willing to admit to it. He’s a buddy — we talked about it because we both get asked about it all the time. I guess we both have brown hair and blue eyes and are British — of course we’re related.”

And of course they have the same last name so it’s easy to be mistaken, isn’t it?

On acting:
“I got into it by accident. I thought I’d do languages and be an interpreter. But I loved drama and got an agent a year into my exams who said ‘Do you want to try it for real’”

On clothes and fashion:
” I like fashion – I’m very partial to Marc Jacobs and Prada – but I don’t want clothes to wear me. Ordinarily, I dress like a teenage boy in layered T-shirts and Converse. To me Emily in Prada was an alien from Planet Fashion. I’d rather aspire to look like Cate Blanchett, who’s always immaculate, or Keira Knightley.”

On her new role in the Young Victoria and a corsetry regime that cinches her waist to 24 inches:
“That’s tough because I eat like a truck driver”

On her role as Emily in The Devil Wears Prada – which has won her such acclaim:
“Emily was a gift of a character to play in what was only my second movie. She was based on a couple of people I know. Hopefully they’ll never work out who they are. But I’ve got a lot to thank them for.”

On having to do the red carpet:
“It’s usually very surreal and frightening, I have a stylist who has a beautiful eye for clothes, but its terrible when you get out of the car and everyone decides that they hate your dress.”

Emily was named The Best Female scene-stealer by Entertainment Weekly for her role in The Devil Wears Prada.

Blunt spoke about the weight loss for the film and claimed she had to go “painfully thin.” Ewww.
