Salma WILL wed again this weekend, but cheaply. Well, not cheaply, but not as expensive as people once claimed.  A couple weeks ago Salma poo pooed reporters saying she was having a multi-million dollar affair.  She said it was about love, family and friends.  So, that’s what she is having this weekend.  In a castle.  In Italy.

Salma married a billionaire, so who cars if she spends a ton of money really?  Certainly he doesn’t.  US Magazine got the details:

Salma Hayek got married on Valentine’s Day. Salma married her off and on again billionaire beau Francois-Henri Pinault, in Paris. Francois is the father to her one-year-old daughter Valentina. The two broke off their engagement last July, but rekindled their affair this past fall.

The two were married in the City Hall of the Sixth Arrondissement in central Paris. Forbes magazine estimated that Francois, who is CEO of the luxury giant PPR and the son of one of France’s richest men, is worth an estimated $16.7 billion.

It appears that Salma Hayek may not have been the one with cold feet afterall.  It was rumored that her fiance had spent months convincing her to get married and walk down the aisle.  Except that is all a bust now…

But pictures that surfaced from the Mediterranean this week tell another story.  It seems that he – his name is French and I don’t feel like looking it up – was necking in the water with his new girlfriend.  The girlfriend that is what may have caused Salma to ditch him. 

Salma Hayek and her French billionaire fiancé Francois-Henri Pinault have called off their engagement. Wow, so that means Francois-Henri is available! Women, he’s a billionaire!

As reports by Hollyscoop that Hayek’s rep has told USA Today that: “We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled.” What could have gone wrong? Pinault is the father of Hayek’s baby daughter, Valentina.  Then again, what is wrong with me? Relationships are tough. When you have that much money, it must be even tougher, you think?

Salma Hayek finally dropped a baby! Must be a relief, Hayek has gotten so big over the months & it sure seemed her pregnant lasted forever, didn’t it? Congras, congras!

((Hayek and her businessman fiancé, François Henri Pinault, are the parents of a baby girl, Valentina Paloma Pinault.

“Mother and daughter are doing well,” Hayek’s publicist Cari Ross said in a statement. 

This is the first child for Hayek, the 41-year-old Mexican-born actress. Her French fiancé  has two kids from his previous marriage.
