Hollywood news has learned that Gene and Shannon, who have been dating for almost 30 years, have finally tied the knot. The couple made it official during a ceremony at the Beverly Hills hotel.

Gene and Shannon’s two kids, Nick and Sophie, sent out the invites, which read:

“After 28 years of loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot… Our mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our father’s life…. well it doesn’t change that much.”

The couple’s big wedding was attended by 400 guests (good turnout, considering they only got engaged two months ago), which included celebrities such as Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, Bill Maher, and KISS guitarist Paul “The Starchild” Stanley.

When Gene, who once famously vowed that he would never marry, was asked why he decided to tie the knot with Shannon, he responded:

“It is time for me to grow up.”

Took him long enough!

Gene popped the question in Belize recently, and the entire proposal was caught on camera for his reality show, ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels.’ We don’t know what Shannon’s answer was, but we’re guessing it’s a big, fat “YES.” After all, she’s waited long enough, hasn’t she?

Gene and Shannon have been together for over two decades—they even have two kids together—but never married because the former face-painted rocker once famously swore that he would never, ever, EVER tie the knot.

We wonder what changed his mind?

“I would rather vote for me. I have as much qualification as some of the candidates,” Gene told Hollyscoop exclusively. “Actually there are people who are out voting for me but the job doesn’t pay enough. We are going to be voting and I don’t think, by the way, celebrities should open their traps about anything except promoting their new stuff.

“Just because you’re in front of people doesn’t mean you’re qualified to do crap. I don’t want my foreign policy to be decided in Malibu…by Sean Penn for f#%ks sake…I mean that in a good way.”

Wouldn’t be so bad if it’s Sean Penn calling the shots, could be worse if it’s Madonna, she’d probably make going to the gym mandatory for all citizens between the age of 3 to 93! Just kidding – you know that right?

Seriously is anyone going to vote for a candidate just because Britney Spears, Tom Cruise or Oprah Winfrey like him? I think YES, there are sooo many shallow-minded people out there. Heck, at this point I can’t wait till the election is over. Not too long now!

The woman with Gene is Shannon Tweed, she’s been living with The Kiss rocker since 1985 and they have 2 kids together!

Simmons, 58 who has been dating long-term partner Shannon Tweed for over 20 years, is alleged to have made the tape while carrying out promotional duties as a spokesman for Frank’s Energy Drink.

The video showing a man who appears to be Simmons has been posted on AVN.com, which is selling the tape to those who wish to download the footage.

So what is the big deal? Simmons has claimed to have sex with  about 4,600 women  afterall.  Simmons has managed to hold down a long term relationship for over two decades only because his partner allows him to sleep with as many women as he wants.

The KISS star, who claims to have had sex with an estimated 4,600 women believes the only reason he’s still together with his long term girlfriend, Tweed is because they never got married. The 4,600 women figure was back in 2005 so over 2 years have lapsed. I wonder how many more has Simmon scored- as reports by Female First
