“Gossip Girl” started out as a great show, but after a bunch of messy love triangles and crazy plot twists, the whole thing’s pretty much gone down the tubes.

Which is why it wasn’t that much of a surprise when entertainment news revealed that the show’s upcoming season would be its last.

Blake Lively, for one, is pretty excited to leave Serena van der Woodsen behind. The “Gossip Girl” star recently told BULLETT magazine:

“It’ll be bittersweet when it’s over… I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, I’m a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing!”

The blonde beauty continued:

“Six years is a long time. And as an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don’t think I’d say, watch Gossip Girl for my best quality of work.”

But before you start thinking that Blake is being ungrateful to the show that launched her to superstardom, don’t worry. The actress graciously added:

“I am very lucky to have had that experience.”

‘Coz they were just spotted in each others’ arms… in Rio!

Leighton Meester was just spotted with a new cutie, Aaron Himelstein, at the romantic lands of Rio de Janerio in Brazil on Friday. Star news reports that the brunette “Gossip Girl” star, who just turned 26 just last Thursday, had visited the famous Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park in Rio with Himelstein‘s hand locked into hers.

Himelstein, who played the younger version of Austin Powers back in 2002 and was reportedly dating Leighton when they were filming “Remember The Daze” together in 2007, was photographed to be beside Leighton almost the whole time and was even caught with his hand on her belly while she had her arm around him.

Hmm. Fishy!

Himelstein definitely does have the Dan Humphrey hair going on for him, so it’s no wonder Leighton felt connected to him!

Now she can finally sleep more soundly!

Apparently, Blake Lively had been living like a true Upper East Sider while literally in the shoes of Serena van der Woodsen as a crazed stalker fan named Sergei Mifle had visited her on the set of CW to “heal” her from her troubles. Now the “Gossip Girl” actress, who had been looking a little too exhausted on the set last month in spite of being in love, has her particular restraining order against the man extended and will no longer have to worry about him bugging her mom in order to complain about the actress and claim that they have some sort of “metaphysical connection.”

Freaky!

Now that’s one less crazed fan for you, Blake, and a hundred thousand more at least… But we bet Ryan Reynolds can take care of those!

Before “Gossip Girl,” Leighton was relatively unknown, appearing in B-movies or guest starring on various TV shows. But when she ditched her blonde hair and landed the role of Blair Waldorf, she became one of the hottest television stars in Hollywood.

But, according to “Gossip Girl” co-creator Josh Schwartz, it wasn’t Leighton’s choice to dye her hair—she had to become a brunette to get cast on the hit CW show. Schwartz tells The Hollywood Reporter:

“Leighton was a blonde when she came in to read, but Blake [Lively] was the blonde, so we asked her to color her hair.”

He adds:

“[It was] a risky move on her part in the middle of pilot season, but she did a sink-rinse dye job to audition as a brunette.”

Apparently, the risk paid off.

Apparently, they looked innocent and innocuous at first, but then they started pawing the “Easy A” actor and actually started undressing him in public…

Badgley, 25, has his share of fans but never as intense as that crowd of schoolgirls who used their strength in numbers to overpower the hunky actor and practically dry hump him beneath the cover of their uniforms.

“I tried to come down [from the set] and wasn’t able to get to the Met because probably, like, 40 or 50 Catholic schoolgirls all swarmed me and pinned me up against a chain-link fence,”

Badgley reminisces.

“At first, it was entertaining. And then they started pulling at my clothes and it was a little aggressive. Then I realized I couldn’t get out, even though they’re all [smaller].”

Seems almost like a Japanese sexual fantasy gone the way of a zombie invasion, doesn’t it?

“This bodyguard came out of nowhere, reached out like I was holding on to a rock in raging rapids, and pulled me through it,”

Badgley tells celebrity news with obvious relief.

“[It] was bizarre.”

We don’t really think it was that odd, considering the actor’s dark good looks and level of fame, but next time Penn Badgley, beware those Catholic schoolgirls…you don’t know how much they’ve been deprived and the lengths they’d be willing to go to just to get up close and personal with someone like you…

According to the latest celebrity news, the hacker has just posted 17 more photos that show the same nude woman using the same iPhone, and is insisting that it really is Blake.

Despite the uncanny resemblance—and the fact that the phone used in the pictures seems to be the exact same phone Blake was spotted with numerous times—her people are stubbornly insisting that the woman in the first batch of photos isn’t Blake. They even went as far as to send threats of legal action to anyone who posted these nudes and claimed that it was indeed the ‘Gossip Girl’ star. In response, the hacker posted new pictures that come with the caption:

“Oh, yes, Blake‘s rep. These are totally fake.  We really, really believe you.  Want moar?  BTW, thanks for all the faps.”

Some of the nudes show the woman’s body with star tattoos near the chest area (but with no face), and according to TMZ, they look a whole lot like the star tattoos Blake had when she was doing the movie “The Town”—same tattoos, same location.

Uh-oh. It’s either Blake has a long-lost twin who’s mighty proud of her glorious nude body, or she might actually have to ‘fess up that it’s her.

According to celebrity gossip websites, Leighton found out about baby Ayelet’s condition through her work with the DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center. The actress even teamed up with Vera Wang last month and lit up the Empire State Building in red and white to raise awareness for the DKMS.

The gorgeous actress pleads with everyone to help:

“We need to find a donor for Ayelet. She will not survive if she doesn’t find a bone marrow donor… I urge everyone to get swabbed, so Ayelet can find her perfect match.”

Ayelet’s mom adds:

“Every time my baby gets a tiny cold, I wonder if she will be able to fight it off. I know there is some charitable soul out there who can save my daughter. We must find that person, that match! Please do a simple cheek swab to help Ayelet and many other patients to see if you can be that match.”

Baby Ayelet’s most probable match is a person of eastern European descent—but Leighton and the DKMS urges everyone to get swabbed nonetheless, because they need bone marrow donors of all races and ethnicities, since there are thousands of people who are in need of a transplant.

Surely ‘Gossip Girl’ fans have noticed that Chace’s character, Nate Archibald, has had lesser screen time this past season. In fact, the hunky actor was nothing more than a glorified backdrop in the suite of Chuck Bass, Ed Westwick’s character. Could this mean that Chace is slowly being written off the show, much like his former co-star Taylor Momsen?

It’s actually quite possible. According to the latest entertainment news, Chace will be starring opposite Katie Holmes in an upcoming romantic comedy called ‘Responsible Adults’. It shoots this fall, which could mean that he won’t be around to shoot the future episodes of ‘Gossip Girl’.

Celebrity gossip websites reported that the ex-Gossip Girl regular had been suspended last November due to her controversial antics “creative reasons”, having channeled her temperamental teen star character, Jenny Humphrey into real life, big time.

Frankly, we much preferred her as Cindy Lou.

Deadline Hollywood was the first outlet to pick up the story and they say Momsen has entered an “indefinite haitus.” While nobody went into details, it’s likely Momsen was fired due to her outrageous interviews and skanky stage performances.

“Although reps for The CW and producer Warner Bros. declined to comment, sources confirm that Momsen’s Jenny will be MIA for at least four episodes beginning with the show’s midseason finale on Dec. 6. The news comes as the 17-year-old Pretty Reckless singer’s off-screen antics continue to raise eyebrows.”
