Isn’t it enough that the final installment—“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2”—became the highest grossing film of 2011 and the third highest grossing film of all time?

Well apparently, to Daniel, it isn’t. Because the “Harry Potter” star, who recently admitted that he was drunk most of the time while filming the later movies of the hugely successful film franchise, believes the film deserved more recognition—in the form of little Oscar trophies.

Radcliffe tells The Radio Times:

“I don’t think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids’ films, unless they’re directed by Martin Scorsese. I was watching Hugo the other day and going, ‘Why is this nominated and we’re not?’ I was slightly miffed.”

We understand where Daniel’s coming from, of course. After all, more than half of all the films in the “Harry Potter” franchise have received Oscar nominations, but none of them—as in none at all—have won a single award.

Daniel continues:

“There’s a certain amount of snobbery. It’s kind of disheartening.”

The “Woman In Black” star adds:

“I never thought I’d care. But it would’ve been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in.”

We definitely agree.

The former child star, who spent nearly half his life playing a boy wizard with a scar on his forehead, revealed there was a period when he was drinking nightly, and even came to the set still drunk to film scenes for the eight-movie franchise he’d starred in since he was 12. Wonder which scenes in “Harry Potter” had Dan reeling through them in an alcoholic haze…

“I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem. People with problems like that are very adept at hiding it. It was bad. I don’t want to go into details, but I drank a lot and it was daily – I mean nightly,”

Radcliffe, 22, told British celebrity magazine, Heat.

“I can honestly say I never drank at work on ‘Harry Potter.’ I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work. I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes.”

Well, we’d drink too if we’re immersed in a world where a dark wizard known as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was gunning for our life since we were a baby.

“I can also be quite insecure. A lot of actors have self-doubt. I live under that the whole time, and it’s how I function best.”

He continued.

So does this mean he was under the same booze-induced fog while filming “Woman In Black?” Critics have been saying the film delivers a whole lot of scares, so we expect Radcliffe‘s in there somewhere operating on a full bottle of Jack Daniel’s, or something…

Yes, indeed…these two “Harry Potter” characters, played by ROBERT PATTINSON and NATALIA TENA, are set to frantically bump pelvises…and how!

The two British co-stars last appeared together as the ill-fated Triwizard champion, Cedric Diggory, and metamorphagus Auror, Nymphadora “Don’t-call-me-Nymphadora” Tonks in “Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire.” Who would’ve thought a mere seven years later would see them humping on the big screen…

It’s true…in a sick sort of way that’ll have Harry Potter and Twilight fans gagging, entertainment news is set to behold Bella’s Edward doing Lupin’s Tonks.

In his latest movie, “Bel Ami,” R-Patz plays a scoundrel who rises to power in Paris in the late 1800′s by using his looks and his body to seduce and manipulate the city’s most wealthy and influential women, and Natalya Tena essays the role of a bawdy prostitute who passes through his life for some really hot sex.

“I knew him before all the ‘Twilight’ stuff,”

Tena admits in an interview with MTV.

“We used to hang out for a bit, so it was a bit weird [during filming]. I was like, ‘All right, mate, come on, let’s do it! It will be fun!’ ”

And was it really?

“It’s actually harder to do sex scenes when they’re intimate,”

Tena reveals.

“But when I’m just a prostitute who he’s banging, it’s fun sex, you can have a lot of fun with it.”

In between takes, Tena says she and Pattinson were laughing and joking and egging each other to “groan louder, louder.” And what’s more, the sex scenes in “Bel Ami” are sure to merit an NC-17 rating at the very least. This means R-Patz‘ rising and falling behind won’t be given the “Breaking Dawn” air-brush treatment.

So expect an eye-full of real, honest-to-goodness Robert Pattinson live butt crack…

Emma, who’s trying to find a niche of her own in Tinseltown after the end of a decade of  “Harry Potter”, says she’s under the impression Hollywood expects her to project a certain image, and given that she’s spent 12 years playing the singular character of bushy-haired nerd, Hermione Granger, perhaps she’s finding it difficult to segue into the glamorous film star everyone expects her to be.

“I don’t have perfect teeth, I’m not stick thin,”

Emma tells entertainment news.

“I want to be the person who feels great in her body and can say that she loves it and doesn’t want to change anything.”

Having been trapped in her Hermione persona for so long, she even went as far as cutting her hair dramatically short and accepting film projects where she only plays second fiddle, like in “My Week With Marilyn” with Michelle Williams essaying the title role.

“It’s ridiculous that [loving the way you look] seems such an unrealistic goal,”

Emma continues. And she’s even succumbed to the pressure of expectations by taking on a racy role in another upcoming film, “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower”.

“I think the actresses who are really successful are the ones who are comfortable in their own skin and still look human.”

We agree, too. Give it time, Emma…we think you’re already on your way to finding yourself…

We all know that Dan‘s a rather private chap, and until recently, we were made to believe his one true love was his liquor cabinet. But since he’s emphatically confirmed his breakup with wine and spirits not too long ago, everyone’s been wondering who his rebound girl is bound to be…

Apparently this is she…

“I’ve got a girlfriend at the moment, who I am very much in love with,” the British star teased. “So, you know, we’ll see where that goes.”

Dan told Larry King on CNN. But he never gave us a clue to this horcrux her name at all.

Should we use veritaserum on young Dan to find out? Or should we just employ Legilimency on him when he isn’t looking.

The only departure from the “Harry Potter” genre is that Radcliffe, sans glasses, wand and lightning bolt scar, will be playing a young lawyer whose wife dies and leaves him with a young son to raise, and as he sorts out the affairs of a deceased client in a small village, he becomes embroiled with a ghost and a deadly curse.

“It was certainly not a part that people can really compare to Harry… But [the] main attraction, to be honest, was simply the story, and how compelling it was, and being a part of a really, really good horror film.”

Daniel explains.

Will he be staring at those two props and reminiscing back on his days as a boy wizard while at home in his cups?

Or maybe he’ll be wearing them.

Dan‘s told star news he swiped the spectacles he’d worn at the first ever “Harry Potter” film (“Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone”), and the spectacles he was wearing at the very last one (“Deathly Hollows”).

“It’s a moment where you just have to let yourself sit back [and say], ‘This is pretty damn cool! This will never happen to me again… This is a one off.”

Well, no. We don’t think something like “Harry Potter”, which took up a decade of his life, will ever happen again. Not with Dan‘s admission of alcoholism.

Now that Harry has sober up.. There’s a world full of Muggles waiting on you…

Celebrity news covered this end of an era, when the film franchise finally took its last bows after a decade of dominating the box office.

We’ll all miss that feisty witch Hermione, bespectacled Harry Potter, gangly Ron Weasley, and the rest of the HP cast, won’t we?

So what’s next for the now-adult Harry Potter stars after this?

Daniel appeared on CNN for their Potter special and told Larry King:

“I’ve had such an amazing time on Potter… and it’s been such an extraordinary experience to work with. It’s actually the same group of people for 10 years. You develop such close bonds with so many people it feels odd that, although those bonds will still exist in the future, it feels very strange to not be going back to work with them next year.”

The British actor admitted:

“[It was] very, very emotional. I remember I kind of wept like a child on my last day.”

However, despite his child-like weeping over the end of the ‘Harry Potter’ films, Daniel doesn’t think doing another book or movie is a good idea. He explained:

“I think that would be a bit odd… I’d be very skeptical about that. First of all, I don’t think that [Rowling] will [write another Potter installment] and second of all, oh, I don’t know, the idea of going back to something after 10 or 20 years?”

When asked about his kiss with Emma for the second part of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,’ Rupert admits:

”It seemed like the most unnatural thing to do, to kiss this person I’d known since she was nine… It took a while to get into it and put our friendship aside.”

The British actor adds:

“It’s quite full-on, a proper snog… We’re soaking wet as well; they dumped gallons of water on us and then we just went for it. We laughed a lot and it took us a while to concentrate. We did it about four times.”

Well, saying “unnatural” isn’t as bad as saying she kisses like an “animal,” which is what co-star Daniel Radcliffe told celebrity news back when he was asked what it was like kissing Emma.

In her interview with Seventeen magazine, Emma confesses that she was head over heels in (puppy) love with Tom, who plays Harry Potter’s nemesis, Draco Malfoy. She says:

“For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton.”

Emma adds:

“He was my first crush. He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool.”

Aaww. How adorable. But why didn’t they start dating when they were a little older? Surely Tom wasn’t intimidated by gorgeous Emma—as other guys seem to be—since they practically grew up together.

In the July 2011 issue of Vogue, Emma shared the problems that were caused by her decision to attend Brown University while she was still filming the last few ‘Harry Potter’ films. She explains:

“I have felt for the last 10 years I have had this battle; I’ve been fighting so hard to have an education. It’s been this uphill struggle… I was Warner Bros.’ pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult.”

Desperate for an education, Emma told Warner Bros. that she was not coming back for the two-part ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ films unless they arranged to work around her school schedule—and of course, they eventually gave in. She says:

“I just realized at one point that I can’t fight everything. I have to move in the direction of it — and go with it.”

In the interview, Emma also talks about meeting James Franco—who is also currently juggling his budding acting career with school—and her relief at being able to talk about her situation:

“It was such a relief to speak to someone who is trying to do the same thing I’m doing… I talked to him about juggling studying and making films and going backward and forward. He’s not afraid or limited by what he fears people will say about it.”

Emma recently dropped out of Brown University, but she admits that she doesn’t regret standing up to Warner Bros. and becoming the focus of their annoyance:

“I’ve probably earned the right to screw up a few times… I don’t want the fear of failure to stop me from doing what I really care about.”

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One” made 24 million dollars in midnight Thursday screenings, followed by 37 million for the rest of the day Friday, according to Box Office Mojo.

If confirmed, the Potter movie will have had the fifth best opening day ever, behind the last two “Twilight” movies, “The Dark Knight,” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” Entertainment Weekly reported online.

The Friday figure would also be the biggest opening for the boy wizard franchise!

Entertainment Weekly forecast that “Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” could make up to 156 million dollars on its first weekend, although a more conservative estimate would put it at 130-140 million dollars.

My daughter, she’s never been a Harry Potter fan told me the other day that she wants to watch all the Harry Potter movies. She’s never watched one. She said she is thinking that it’s so lame that she’s never watched one since everyone else has… peer pressure?  Ha.. so now I’ll be watchinga lot of Harry Potter!

Grint, 22 talks about his onscreen kiss with Watson in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, “It was actually okay,” “It was just the anticipation. Neither of us were looking forward to it.”

“It sounds crazy, Emma’s amazing,” he says. “I’ve seen her grow up and known her since she was nine. It just doesn’t feel right.”

And Rupert is relieved & ready to move on after the Harry Potter franchise.

“In terms of filming, yes, it really does feel over now,” “There’s a real sense of freedom now. It’s a good time to finish, I think. As much as I’m going to miss it I’m ready to move on and do different things.”

Discussing his decision to work on stage show ‘Equus’, he said: “We knew it was important to start the process of separation while the ‘Potter’ films were going on rather than trying to branch out at the end and expect people to see me as something else.”

However, the British star does believe he will always be associated with the character, and is “grateful” to have had the opportunity to play Harry. 

Daniel told Total Film magazine: “‘Harry Potter’ is responsible for every opportunity I’ll get for the rest of my life and I’m going to be forever grateful.

“I may occasionally get annoyed by a drunk person in the street shouting, ‘Harry!’ at me in the street but on the whole it’s not an issue. And it’s part of my job – it’s what I signed up for.”

The first half of the final movies in the series, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1′ is released in November.

Well, we all so saw that coming, didn’t we? Daniel is afterall 21.
