Heath Ledger Wins Best Supporting Dramatic Actor for his role as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” at last night’s Golden Globes 2009. It was a rather touching and emotional moment. The Dark Knight’s director Christopher Nolan accepted Ledger’s award from presenter, Demi Moore. Nolan said he did so with “a mixture of sadness and incredible pride.”

Michelle Williams will not accept any awards on behalf of Heath Ledger. Not because Michelle doesn’t think he will win, but because no one has even talked to her about it! Instead, there are several people who may accept a Golden Globe on his behalf.

Why they won’t just let the man rest in peace—accidental sleeping pill overdose, or not—errs on the side of tacky. Regardless, insurance company ReliaStar Life isn’t buying that Heath Ledger’s death last January was accidental. The shallow pocketed company is still holding out they’ll be able to prove (through intimidating interviews with sources like Mary Kate Olsen) that Heath Ledger committed suicide. Thus voiding them of the $10 million payout the family is owed.

Heath Ledger played the role of the Joker in the latest Batman sequel “The Dark Knight”. Have most of you seen the movie? I was so impressed with Heath’s performance. It was definitely an Oscar nod in my books.
