According to People magazine Jamie failed to make an appearance at her 31st birthday a few weeks back. That isn’t very boyfriend-ly behavior.

“A source close to the pair says that Hewitt and Kennedy were supposed to attend an event together last week, but Kennedy arrived solo. He was also not present at Hewitt’s 31st birthday celebration last month. Lisa Stanley broke the news on KEarth 101, and “Extra” confirmed.”

This is no great shock. J. Love seems mighty high maintenance and the kind of obnoxious one would only be able to handle in small doses.

Of course, there’s no official word when the two will run to Vegas and say I Do, but it appears soon. From the Showbiz Spy:

The Ghost Whisperer star, 30, is set to whisk Jamie— whom she’s been dating for just over a year — off to Las Vegas to marry him.

“Jennifer and Jamie are definitely planning on getting married, but she wants to elope because she was so humiliated over her broken engagement to Ross McCall,” a source revealed.

The source says that while the couple were in Sin City to host a party at Tao in The Venetian Hotel and Casino they “went to Vegas to look at chapels”.

Hmmmm…maybe Jennifer and Jamie secretly did it? Nah, she’d want pictures in the paper. Jennifer seems the type to want to get a bit of money out of the ordeal for herself.

Ha. Jennifer is fast moving and controlling, but Jamie must have caught on. It appears he is the one who has cooled. From Fox 411:

The insider tells FOX411 that Jamie is still in contact with Funk, who is Britney Spears’ former assistant, but that the “Ghost Whisperer” star does not know.

“Jamie is still hung up on Shannon and has been telling her that,” says the source. “He also told her he had zero desire to go to the Tao event with [Love Hewiit], but Jen insisted they go together to put rumors to rest. Jamie decided he at least owed her that, so he appeased her and accompanied her to the event even though he’s pretty much checked out of the relationship.”

I hope Jennifer reads this so she knows what’s coming!

Except that it didn’t really happen. Jennifer dumped her other fiance Ross McCall after being engaged for a few years. She hooked up with Jamie quickly and already hinted at marriage with him. But according to People Magazine:

Despite a report published Tuesday that Kennedy had proposed to his girlfriend onstage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif., over the weekend, reps for both stars say it’s not the case. “There’s no truth to the report,” says Hewitt’s rep. Kennedy’s rep echoes: “There’s no truth to this report whatsoever.”

Keep your engagement party gift…because the real one for Jennifer and Jamie is surely around the corner. So, no congratulations to you!

Usmagazine.com reported:

“A rumor has come out that Jamie and I supposedly got engaged,” she said after the two were spotted at a Las Vegas jewelry shop buying a small ring. When her boyfriend heard the engagement reports, “the poor guy was on fire,” she went on. “He was like, ‘No, no, no. That’s not true!’”Added the actress, “I was like, ‘God, would that be the worst thing in the world?! Excuse me, but just for a second, there’s a line of people who would probably be OK with that [rumor]. “The thing is, people asked me, ‘Are you engaged?’ And I just said, ‘No, not that the moment, I’d be a very lucky man,’” he said. “And she got mad at me!”

Sigh. Perhaps this is why Jennifer never seales the deal for real.

It must be the shirts and the attention! Jennifer sits in the booth and sells shirts for her new man. Awwww…gag! From People Magazine:

When Ghost Whisperer star Jamie Kennedy performed his standup act over the weekend at Comix comedy club in New York City, he got some over-the-top help from girlfriend and co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. She posed for pictures with fans – and worked the merchandise table selling Kennedy’s T-shirts and DVDs.Hewitt has even used her handicraft skills to help boost sales. “She took my shirts and bedazzled them,” Kennedy says. “She would take regular shirts and put sparkles on them, and we actually sold out of them – people go nuts for them.”

Seriously – she puts sparkly gems on them and they sell? This will be the new Hollywood trend…just watch. And Jennifer started it all for her boyfriend.

Hewitt was engaged to her ex-long term boyfriend Scottish actor Ross McCall, who she met when he made an appearance on Ghost Whisperer. On January 5, 2009, People magazine reported that Hewitt and McCall have called off their engagement.

Jamie Kennedy said last month on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show (March 13, 2009) that he and Hewitt were dating and he was “…madly in love with her.

Let’s hope Jennifer feels likewise. She does look like she’s lost weight as well, doesn’t she?

Looking at celebrities sans makeup makes us realize that most of them aren’t really any difference from us, doesn’t it?

“Yes, we are dating…We’re more than dating … we’re more than in love.” “We have an intense connection,” he said. Making a Twilight reference, he added, “She’s my Bella. I don’t want to bite her neck, but I want her to live. Here’s somebody that breathes life into you in a new way and makes you fuller and that’s what she does to me! I’m in love, and I don’t care!”

Wowza, Jamie. Something makes me think there was some hanky panky going on in J. Love’s dressing room, no? Too bad she’ll be over him in a few months. Just watch.

Jamie was caught in the bathroom with a new found fan.  He – they – were in Toronto for the Film Festival.  No word on who SHE is, but he was so smitten, he even missed his speech for his own movie!  She must have been a hot piece of…you know.  His new movie is called Heckler, but it was unveiled quietly…the cast waited for him to arrive and ntroduce it…but he was too busy. 

Why couldn’t somebody else just get up and announce it?
