Five short years ago, Jamie Lynn Spears was well-known in Hollywood for two things: her role as Zoey Brooks on the Nickelodeon hit kids’ series, “Zoey 101,” and for being Britney Spears‘ little sister. And then she started making headlines for something else entirely: falling pregnant at age 16…

Now Jamie’s a devoted mom to her 3-year-old Maddie, and she’s turning 21 in April. After having practically disappeared from the spotlight following her pregnancy, which one newspaper called “the most high-profile out-of-wedlock teen pregnancy in Hollywood history,” Jamie Lynn has finally opened up on those turbulent times.

“After we wrapped shooting [for the season in 2007], I just wanted to go home to Louisiana and finish high school, be a cheerleader, all that. Then I found out I was pregnant. I was 16. I’d had one boyfriend,”

she tells Glamour Magazine in an exclusive interview on their March issue.

“It doesn’t make it perfect or all right. But I was judged for something that probably most everyone does. I was young. I was in love. I was like every other teenager, except I had this last name. And I made a decision that is forever my decision.”

Jamie Lynn has chosen to quietly raise her daughter, Maddie in Mississippi, not far from her hometown in Louisiana, and she now looks back on the choices she made to deal with her situation the best way she knew how.

“To have the world come down on a situation that was already affecting my family hugely was hard,”

Jamie Lynn confesses.

“I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mothers who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy. I hated when [the tabloids] said that. Everybody is dealt a hand of cards. It was my choice to play them the way I played them. But the hateful comments hurt.”

Parents’ groups were outraged that Jamie Lynn, the star of a show aimed at young girls, was setting a dangerous example, and many others pointed fingers at the media for making teen pregnancy look glamorous. Then when “Zoey 101″ was abruptly pulled off the air, it all contributed to the huge amount of guilt and hurt for the frightened 16-year-old.

“I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls…I was really scared to go to the doctor,”

the young mother admits.

“And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control. I didn’t want to ask my doctor, because she had a little girl.”

Now that Jamie Lynn is living a private life, having split with her baby daddy, Casey Aldridge to whom she was engaged to at one point, she says she only wants one thing:

“I just want to be a soccer mom. I want to cook dinner every night. I want the kids to come home and be dirty and make the house messy,”

she reveals.

“At the same time, I have to be patient and wait for the right time and the right guy. I would have never known that until I went through what I went through. I’m just patiently waiting for Prince Charming.”

Jamie Lynn is young and she’s gone through the test of fire. We’re certainly rooting for her to finally find her happily-ever-after, just like her sister did…

 A source tells Radar Online: Aldridge was driving home at 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he wrecked his Ford F-250 with two male pals in the car, one of whom broke his collar bone. The source adds that Casey has a hematoma and doctors fear he has a blood clot in his brain. He may be heading into surgery.

On the other hand, a family source told People that Aldridge suffered “a cracked skull” and had been “in and out” of consciousness. “It’s not as serious as we thought at first,” as reports by NY Daily

Casey was charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle — a misdemeanor.  Police said there was no indication of alcohol or drugs involved in the accident. Aldridge, 19 was attending a cousin’s bachelor party;  Casey and some friends decided to drive off to go crabbing.

Our prayers go out to the young dad and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Jamie Lynn has hardly been seen or heard from in several months.   She does look great in pictures, like she’s keeping herself out of trouble and the press.  Is it on purpose?   E! Online says:

The younger Spears, who took leave of a burgeoning Hollywood career to relocate to Mississippi to raise daughter Maddie, “has been quietly working on a country album since last fall,” says a source close to the family.

Although Jamie Lynn’s only musical credit to date is warbling the theme song to her defunct Nickelodeon series, Zoey 101 (a tune cowritten by her more pedigreed big sister), that hasn’t stopped Team Spears from “trying to get Jamie Lynn a record deal,” says another insider.

I’m not real sure in this effort.  I can see Jessica Simpson trying her hand at country, because she sang before.  But Jamie Lynn, who has never sung before?  She’d have to come out with some really great stuff in order to erase all the biases that are already in place about her and her family name.  Tough road, don’t ya think?

Now, I can’t imagine what mother would let a 16 year old get liposuction.  Even a Hollywood mother.  Star Magazine says:

Jamie Lynn had just finished her hit Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 when she found the weight piling on. Not realizing she was expecting, she pleaded with her mom, Lynne Spears, to let her get liposuction.

“She didn’t know she was pregnant when she filled out the health questionnaire prior to the procedure,” a second source reveals. “Her mom approved the injections and went through tons of red tape to get the clinic to administer them to an underage patient.”

Now, this is Star Magazine, so take it with a grain of salt.  But if it’s true, then wouldn’t Lynne suspect something if she didn’t see Jamie Lynn eating junk food in order to put the weight on?  Hopefully, for baby Maddie’s sake, this isn’t true and she will be fine.

Update: The young parents have had an on-and-off relationship for the last few years and finally called it quits again in November, 2010.

….an employee took copies of those pictures and is trying to SELL them.  Duh!  And the thief must be an idiot because they took a picture where Jamie Lynn is breastfeeding Maddie.  And guess what – even though she is breastfeeding, she is a minor and now it counts as a pornography charge, in addition to theft charges. 

Dang!  The photo capers in Louisiana aren’t so smart!  Try and make a buck and instead will spend 5 to 10 in a slammer.  Thanks for shopping at Wal-mart!

The NY Daily newsreports that it was actually Lynn Spears that called Petit Tresor in LA and ordered the gift.  She wanted it to be under $100, so they opted for some burp cloths in pink.  Why pink?  Must be a girl..??

The set of five cloths are embrodered and cute.  Here is there link if you like Plain Mary baby stuff.  I think Jamie Lynn and Bristol could probably be friends…they had sex with hot looking hunks who don’t have jobs.  Their families have money to support them, so hey, good catch!

Why?  Click over to JustJared for the pictures of her outing.  One – she is wearing clothes that don’t match, just like any harried mom who is in a hurry to get out the door may grab.  Pink and green…ok.  Two, she doesn’t have her hair fixed and glammed up.  Look how dark her roots have become!  No time for the salon for this teen mom.  Three, she isn’t wearing makeup and looks tired.  Tired!  New moms are exhausted and Jamie Lynn doesn’t look any different, despite her star status!

We can’t get a glimpse of her left hand to see if she is still wearing a ring or not.  Do you think she is out without Casey on purpose or just coincidentally?

A few weeks back there was a story of a 28 year old who came out and said she had sex with Casey Aldridge – baby daddy – when JL was six months pregnant.  Of course, Aldridge denied it.  The woman was branded as lying for money. 

Now, a second woman has come out and said she had sex with Casey too, and validates the sory of the first woman!  She even says the first woman was pregnant but miscarried.  That means Casey is an irresponsible womanizer.  Gross.  JL better smarten up or she’ll be living with a disease forever in addition to the baby he gave her.  I hoped it wasn’t true, but it seems he is too young and immature to be tied to JL and their baby…except for the money he is getting.

Casey Aldridge had his 15 minutes in the spotlight.  now, more people are trying to get it in association to him.  There is a woman who came out – to the tabloids, of course – and said she had an affair with Casey while JL was pregnant.  Which, considering he is only 19, that makes sense.  Boys that age aren’t the most loyal of creatures. 

Until you read the story closer…the woman who says she is a couple with him is 28!  NINE years older than him, so that means he was illegal and underage if they have been an items for ‘years’ like she claims.  Did anyone forget that little bit?  And now big sis Britney’s first husband – you forgot she was married for three days didn’t ya? – has chimed in and said that yeah, they were a couple.  Like his two cents adds credibility.  He married a Spears for three days. 

So, do you think the baby daddy is honest or up to no good?  He pretty much sperminated his money machine for life.  Did I say that out loud?

Jamie Lynn plans to walk down the aisle and marry baby daddy Casey Aldridge in the fall.  It will be an outdoor wedding under a tent, says OK! Magazine.  She doesn’t want a big, five star Hollywood event.  And that’s probably a good thing…

The powers that be took a lot of flack for putting Jamie Lynn and baby Maddie on the cover.  Parent groups and teen pregnancy groups said it glamorized teen pregnancy and it wasn’t responsible for their part.  What do you think?  Is Jamie Lynn beyond the normal teen issues since she is a Hollywood star?  Was her pregnancy glamorized?

Jamie Lynn sits with OK! Magazineand tells them she had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery.  My, my…where is the drama of a C-section and temperamental older sister in the delivery room we had heard about earlier?  False, maybe?

I’m sure the magazine will take flack for it’s cover, since they highlight a teen mother and her saying having a baby is the best feeling in the world.  Ugh…teachers and principals all over the country are bracing for teen pregnancy spikes!  What do you think…appropriate cover or not?

Britney had reported to the court she would be gone for several days.  When she heard her sister was in labor, she was going to leave and head to Kentwood, where lil sis is awaiting the big day.

UPDATE 2: Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge had a baby girl, and the name is Maddie Briann. Not even close to what was reported earlier!  Maybe the parents kept changing their minds?

UPDATE: Jamie Lynn Spears is reported to be having a C-section Thursday, due to minor complications with her pregnancy.  The baby is in a breech position, so she will be delivered before actual labor starts.

The baby has been reported as a girl and the name will be a combination of both parent’s names: Jamie Lynn and Casey.  Hmmm.  Cassie or Cailynn they said.  WHich do you like better?

The photographer never tried to contact Jamie Lynn, he just waited around outside of where she was living and visiting so he could take a snap of her.  Maybe Uma Thurman should move down to a rural state since they seem to take stalkers seriously down there.   Her stalker did whacked out creepy things and was only given probation in NY City.

According to the OK! report, the youngest sister of Britney Spears learned of her pregnancy with nineteen year old boyfriend Casey Aldridge from an at-home test and subsequent visit to the doctor.

“As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody,” Jamie Lynn says. “Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.” – as reports by Yahoo News

This is just awful! A kid carrying a kid! Well, I don’t care what a trainwreck we see of Britney but Jamie Lynn is just a kid. We wish her well!

By the way, mommy Lynn Spears has postponed her parenting book indefinitely as confirmed by People magazine
