PETA has targeted many celebrities over the years—the most recent one being fur-lover Kim Kardashian. But now, they’ve decided to target Janet Jackson… some more.

The animal rights group, which has blasted the singer in the past, has now crowned Janet 2011’s Grinch of the Year for launching a “line of luxe fur outerwear and accessories” with fur company Blackglama.

Janet says of the partnership:

“The art of fashion is one of my great passions… I’ve worked for years to bring a collection into the world.  Partnering with Blackglama is very exciting.”

You know who’s not excited? PETA. A press release from the group states:

“When Janet Jackson had her infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’ during the Super Bowl, at least the flesh that popped into view was her own – unlike the stolen animal skins that she drapes herself with, which are as dead as her taste in fashion (not to mention her career)… Ms. Jackson, you’re just plain nasty.”

Why was he nervous? Well, you can see for yourself:

It’s quite understandable for most gay men to be nervous about having to encounter such a large amount of female skin—especially if that female happened to be the feisty, hilarious, and somewhat aggressive Kathy Griffin.

If you didn’t already guess, Kathy and Jesse are re-enacting Janet Jackson’s famous (or infamous?) 1993 Rolling Stone magazine cover, in which the singer can be seen posing shirtless while an unknown man’s hands covers her boobs.

Kathy, who obviously played the role of Janet in the photo, told Page Six:

“Jesse got nervous [about re-enacting the Jackson setup for the Out shoot].”

She added:

“I don’t know why. He’s a gay man, and it’s not like I was going to do anything to him. Well, maybe I would have with the right sedatives. But boobs are boobs, and mine are real. Maybe that’s what surprised him. Being a Hollywood actor, he was probably like, ‘What are these things? I’ve never felt these before.’ ”

The racy (but hilarious) photo, which appears on the magazine’s latest issue, was shot for the Out100—a list of the most influential men and women (both gay and straight) in the LGBT community, in which both Kathy Griffin and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are included.

According to Janet’s reps, the singer had no choice but to cancel her 8 pm performance at the Sydney Opera House due to vocal cord issues, issuing a statement to disappointed concert-goers at 7:40 pm which read:

“It is with regret that Dainty Group announces that tonight’s Janet Jackson Number Ones: Up Close and Personal concert at the Sydney Opera House cannot proceed. Doctors have ordered Miss Jackson to undertake vocal rest for the next two days, so she can complete the third and final show of her Australian tour this Tuesday night at the Sydney Opera House.”

This incident comes on the heels of several other celebrity entertainers who are now out of commission due to throat conditions that’ve occurred within the last two months, ranging from simple hospital emergency room visits to actual surgery, star news reports.

First came John Mayer who had to have surgery to remove a granuloma from his vocal cords; followed by Adele who’s scheduled to go under the knife to remedy vocal cord hemorrhage that’s rumored to have progressed to throat cancer; then Marie Osmond was rushed to the emergency room in the middle of a Sin City performance for really bad bronchitis, and the most recent being country singer, Keith Urban who’s even now being prepped to have a polyp removed from his vocal cords.

Welcome to the club, Janet Jackson.

How many more of Hollywood’s warblers are going down from this throat epidemic that’s hit Tinseltown hard?

As it normally goes, Peta got their panties in a twist and released an angry statement about Jackson, completely throwing her under the bus for accepting the campaign.

“It’s amazing what celebrities will do when their careers are on a downslide, but we didn’t think that Janet was this desperate. Surely she knows enough about suffering and unjustified death to recognize that both occur in the production of a fur coat. We are asking her to think again and to donate these stolen skins to be used as bedding for animals orphaned by other human-caused disasters, such as loss of habitat.”

This is a touch mean-spirited, no? Shouldn’t PETA just focus on animals and leave Janet Jackson‘s career out of it?

The bare boob was the piece of naked flesh that changed live TV performances. Janet went underground while everyone else discussed “her” faults. According to Digital Spy:

Timberlake said at the time that he had no idea that Jackson was topless and distanced himself from the furore.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 28-year-old said that he regrets the way that he handled the situation. “I wish I had supported Janet more. I am not sorry I apologised, but I wish I had been there more for Janet,” he said.

Well that’s nice of him, almost six years late. Janet did a nice job handling it, but it would have been nice for Justin to shoulder some blame.

Madonna and Michael both became popular at the same time and had a lot in common. They were both targeted by the media and well, a little bit eccentric. From OK! Magazine:

The two singers are working on a tribute to Janet’s late brother after bonding over dinner after Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

“It was a meeting of two great musical minds. Madonna was so impressed with Janet’s tribute to Michael that they started talking about how great it would be to honour him by doing something together…There was definitely something very interesting being planned between them.”

I wonder what they would do? Pop? Dance? Ballad? I think anything Janet and Madonna did would be a dance sensation.

Being a celebrity isn’t always so easy, you feel pressured to look your best and probably for the same reason a lot of them try to doctor their looks by going under the knife.

Of the 13 celebrites we are posting, the Jacksons take up 3 spots; and some of these celebrities look like they have been through a cheese grater.

Rumor has it that Jackson, 42 asked the 36-year-old record producer, Jermaine to move out of her Los Angeles home after months of blaming him for the failure of her recent Rock Witchu Tour and poor sales for her recent effort, Discipline.

When the tour went sour, Janet felt that Jermaine “deserved a lot of the blame,” says the snitch, who adds, “Janet was so disappointed in how Jermaine managed her tour that she gave him his walking papers. She’s furious that Jermaine was able to work magic for Mariah Carey, but not her. She feels that he let her down.”

“She decided to cut her losses and end their relationship.”

Come on, Janet. That’s Mariah. She’s still somewhat hot, isn’t she? Blame it on your other half, so typical! I do that too. Duh! Anyway, they are a very boring couple - Why? Because they have been so stable for so long. Hey, I am being stupid here. Boring is good, sometimes, being bored is a good thing. Is not whether the guy is tall enough.. Oops! Or the girl is natural enough. Is about being together. Of course, that song doesn’t get played too often in La La Land.

I am being philosophical – that’s a word for it..lame.. Do you think they will get back together?

Before her concert tour, Janet had been vocal about wanting to get married and have kids.  Welllll, she’s turned the big 4-2 now, don’t ya think this is it?  And feeling sick and having vertigo make sense in a pregnancy too.

This is what the Daily News says of Jermaine’s recent comment:

Dupri told Hollyscoop that Jackson was doing fine post-illness, and also dodged questions about a prospective visit from the stork. “No, Ya’ll stop saying that, when she gets pregnant everyone will know.”

That sounds like a non-denial if I ever heard one.  How many stars use that line?

If she was pregnant, we’ll probably be seeing evidence shortly.  You can’t hide it forever!

Dupri’s party guests included P Diddy, Usher, Gabrielle Union and Larenz Tate.  And they all ran for cover and left the party when shots rang out in the night.  None of the stars were injured. 

It seems that a fight broke out in the VIP area because security was double charging guests.  They needed a little bit of pocket money!  The security started pushing and shoving and then shots were fired.  A security guard was shot, treated and released.  The incident is still being investigated, but no charges have been filed yet. 

Dupri needs to have a metal detector at his events as this isn’t the first time guns have been involved near him.  Guns are bad, dude!

Hopefully there won’t be any “wardrobe malfunction” this time like what happened with Janet Jackson’s breast hanging out during her halftime performance at the Super Bowl XXXVIII. Justin Timberlake ripped Janet Jackson’s top revealing one of her breasts. Her nipple had a ring around it.. kinky!
