After several blind items hinting toward the fact a male actor with a pregnant wife cheated with an A-list co-star actress, now the National Enquirer reports Julia and husband Danny Moder are having problems.

“There’s talk around Hollywood that the reason Julia’s singing Javier’s praises so much is because they hooked up. Behind closed doors, all is not well,” the insider divulged. “The fire between Julia and Danny has seemed to have cooled. I think Javier came along and provided a fun distraction. Not the strain of battling the crazy rumors about her and Javier is pushing Julia and Danny to their breaking point…”

This sounds far too contrived to possibly be true. I don’t know – something about Julia (and Javier for that matter) just seems too practical for this kind of nonsense.

The power couple’s baby boy was born in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday just days after Penelope threw a baby shower party in her L.A. home last week. 

Cruz, 36, and Bardem, 41, started dating in 2007; married in a small ceremony in the Bahamas July last year. In September, Cruz confirmed her pregnancy.

Besides being a new daddy, Javier was nominated for Best Actor Academy Award for his role in Biutiful early Tuesday morning.

He recently regaled the story of how he met Brad Pitt in person and immediately fell in love.

“I had the great opportunity to meet Brad a couple of times…what a beauty! He is beautiful and his physicality is so amazing to see. But the beauty really comes from different places—the way he talks, the way he’s interested in what you’re saying. And that body is like—wow! It’s amazing, no? He really made me feel very, like…I don’t know, like, I could fall in love with him! Like a teenager girl getting crazy and going [screams] like that. I met him only twice, but so nice, so…generous and very true to himself, and I don’t know him that well, but I would say it’s a good self. And that is when the beauty comes voom!”

He later told Jay Leno he only said those things because he wanted Pitt, who produced ‘Eat, Pray, Love” to cast him. Oh, those crafty actors — always on stage!

The wedding didn’t take place in the US, so that probably helped to keep it quiet too.

After collaborating onscreen, Hollywood stars Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem have made their offscreen collaboration binding. Cruz’s rep confirmed to E! News that the Oscar-winning actors tied the knot in the Bahamas earlier this month. The pair got hitched in front of family members in a small ceremony at a friend’s place, with the bride exchanging vows in a John Galliano gown.

How sweet that they were able to keep it private and out of the spotlight if that is what they wanted. Plus there have been a bunch of other high profile weddings to keep the media distracted. Congratulations Penelope and Javier!

Javier says, “I danced one night in a place, there was a club. And they asked for a guy to kind of make a striptease and I did it… It was for ten minutes. I needed money.
“My mother was there in the audience. She was so proud.”

What a cool mamma! You do know that Javier is dating Penelope Cruz, right? A source close to the couple told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper as reports by Hollyscoop : “Both Penelope and Javier are very excited about their future together. It has been rumored that Javier has already proposed – but he hasn’t asked Penelope to marry him yet.”
