Producers for the Broadway show Speed-The-Plow don’t buy that Jeremy Piven dropped out because of mercury levels. They’ve filed for grievance with The Actors’ Equity. No scandalous details have been revealed as to why they don’t believe the claim but several physicians have publicly backed up Jeremy‘s claim.

In the past, producers have filed grievance with The Actors’ Equity when they feel something has been violated in a contract. For instance, producers could argue he wasn’t being 100% honest about his medical claims. Jeremy Piven‘s spokesperson had this to say:
Jeremy Piven has mercury poisoning. And yet one wonders, is that a secret way to say Jeremy has been partying too much, is too tired to perform and wants out of his Broadway contract? Maybe.

Jeremy has been feeling sick and went to the doctor. In Case You Didn’t Know reports this from his doctor:

Art imitated life at this year’s Emmy awards, where he and Perry Reeves (his onscreen wife in the series) were seen boozing it up from a “bottle wrapped in a napkin.” They took “swigs from it throughout the entire show.”

Later on that night he drunkenly and unsuccessfully hit on 19-year-old Hayden Panettiere. She humored him for a bit and then high-tailed it out of there. She was probably catching a contact buzz from his whiskey breath. A spy says:
