John Travolta case ends in a mistrial. John (and Kelly Preston) have been back in the Bahamas testifying against the people accused of extorting him over the death of his son. It didn’t go well. At least, the proceedings as a whole didn’t, because the judge called a hung jury.

John gave heart wrenching testimony in the stand. But it wasn’t enough, this time anyway. From TMZ:
John Travolta seeks solace in Tahiti, a few short months after the death of his son. The Travolta family often vacationed in Tahiti, so the time was probably bittersweet for John. He went on a solo trip, which was right after what would have been Jett’s 17th birthday.

Three people, an island lawmaker, paramedic and ambulance driver, have been detained by police in the Bahamas as suspects of and extortion plot against John Travolta. News broke last week that these suspects were trying to bait money out of John Travolta by threatening to sell pictures if his dead son Jett to the tabloids.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are facing an extortion plot over their son Jett’s death. More accurately, John and Kelly are facing an extortion plot in order to keep pictures of their son in the ambulance from hitting the press. How incredibly sad and disgusting!

The news broke yesterday that the Travolta’s had gone to the police with the alleged crime. It turns out, an EMT worker with the ambulance company and a local politician are both in the crackpot scheme to get a million dollars. This is what the Daily Mail says:
John Travolta’s son Jett’s death was caused by a seizure disorder. The autopsy was performed today in the Bahamas and the results were conclusive. The actual coroner’s report was not released, but sources claim seizures and not head trauma caused Jett’s death.

The results of the autopsy became public knowledge this afternoon. The Associated Press says:
John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s son, Jett Travolta died today in the Bahamas, he was only 16. Jett was vacationing with John and Kelly. Travolta’s attorney Michael Ossi says Jett suffered a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene.
