Hollywood gossip websites and the rest of the world aren’t quite sure whether funnyman Jim was serious or trying to crap in everyone’s pants and having the last laugh, as used to be his wont during his pre-Jenny McCarthy break-up days.

“People often ask me if i’m being funny or serious…”

Jim tweeted.

“The answer is “YES”. ?;^]”

Uh, which part do you mean, Jim? Funny or serious?

“Yes, my msg to Emma Stone was a comedy routine and the funniest part is that everything i said is tru.”

A mystery within a puzzle wrapped in an enigma. So, he’s trying to gross her out with laughter?

A day after Jim’s self-taped video—in which he confesses his love for Emma Stone—went viral on celebrity news sites, Kathy decided to come out with her own video for Justin.

In the video, Kathy goes:

“Justin Bieber, I want you to know you are all the way beautiful, even with those lesbian bangs—but that is not any diss to the LGBT community… You’re smart and kind-hearted. That’s sort of an assumption, but I assume… you seem nice… If I could, I would marry you. Oh, that’s actually not true. It’s messy, Justin, there’s a distribution of assets. We would just go steady.”

She adds:

“And the sex—whoo—it’s going to be weird… Anyway, the problem is there’s an age difference. I’m a lot older than you Justin Bieber. I’m 29… 39… 49… just look me up.”

Basically, Kathy copied down everything Jim said in his video and read them aloud—with a few changes. But hers was obviously a joke while Jim’s was… well… you couldn’t really tell because he sounded so serious!

In the video, Jim confesses his love for Hollywood’s newest rising star, Emma Stone—who is 27 years younger than him. He says:

“Emma, I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but you know, smart, smart and kind-hearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you, and we would have chubby little freckled-faced kids…”

And then, after talking about the things they would do as a married couple (which includes camping, playing Yahtzee, and *shudder* sex), Jim adds:

“And every day for the rest of your life, you would thank God that I was the appropriate age for you. But I’m not. I’m 49. I have lines on my face, sometimes a little gray in my beard, and it takes me a little longer to pee than it used to. Those are the only discernible signs of aging that I can find so far.”

Then, he says:

“Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how I felt. You’re pretty special, and I wish you continued success and artistic fulfillment, but most of all, I wish you love and contentment. That’s all.”

At the end of the video, he mouths, “I love you,” and then his chin starts to quiver.

Obviously this is just a joke, albeit a slightly creepy one, but what’s it for? We haven’t heard of any movie projects involving both Jim and Emma, so we know it’s not some sort of publicity stunt for a film.

What then?

And we wonder how Emma will respond…

Star news reports Carrey plays Popper, a businessman so driven by work he is clueless about spending time with his family until he inherits some penguins. Six of them, to be precise.

A harassed Popper exhausts all means to get rid of them, but his family falls in love with the waddling avians and he ends up converting his posh Manhattan pad into a winter wonderland to keep the birds and his kids happy. In the end, the penguins teach him some very valuable lessons about love, family bonding, and life in general.

“Mr. Popper’s Penguins” is quite a stretch from Jim‘s previous projects – the heavily CGI’d “A Christmas Carol” where Jim is hardly recognizable in his role as Scrooge,  the homo-erotic  “I Love You, Philip Morris” with his explicit love scenes with Ewan McGregor, and even “Liar, Liar”, a supposed family-friendly film that had so many adult themes it was regarded as mildly offensive.

Celebrity news notes the closest Carrey‘s been to a family-friendly film of this ilk, was “Lemony Snickett’s A Series of Unfortunate Events”, where he convincingly essayed the role of the wicked Count Olaf and starred with a younger Emily Browning (“Sucker Punch”, “Sleeping Beauty”) who played Violet Baudelaire.

We know Carrey has to be a fun guy.. not sure if his ex Jenny Mccarthy would totally agree but Carla Gugino, his co-star in Mr Popper’s Penguins definitely would. Gugino has this to say about Carrey.

“He’s pretty crazy and pretty funny, but he is more trainable than a penguin,” Carla said.

“It’s interesting when you’ve grown up watching somebody on the screen. He’s also a serious guy and cares a lot about his work, but there’s no doubt that there were many times off camera where the crew was laughing and we had to re-do the take. It was really funny,” she added.

Apparently, Anchal and Carrey exited a Broadway play together holding hands. She’s 24 – which the write-up points out is a mere one year older than Jim Carrey‘s daughter.

But the one thing that always stayed with me was the idea that he was relentless about love, and all of us understand that. I’m a desperate man myself.”

Carrey and Jenny McCarthy called it quits about six months ago and looks like they have both moved on fairly quickly. McCarthy is said to be dating a former fitness model, Jason Toohey and here we see Jim with a HOT brunette. Cool.

Oh Jenny had recently opened up about their breakup on no other than Oprah:

“You know, the simple word I can give – and there’s a few, so let me say a few. The first thing is, when it’s not fun anymore, you need to start investigating and do an inquiry into the relationship. I’ve learned that,” McCarthy says, “and this is why my identification wasn’t caught up [in] being a celebrity’s … girlfriend.”

True enough, it’s important to stay fun together otherwise you’d bore eachother apart or to death!

Jim has been open about his depression and his dislike of all the medicines that came with it. Has he gone over the edge and quit taking them? From Popeater:

Since April 24, Carrey has been tweeting the word up to 40 times day, using it to mean, well, just about anything. “I RRRefuse 2 define BOING!,” he wrote on Tuesday. “1 day when you’ve given up your need 2 explain it and file it neatly away, ‘BOING’… you will understand! }=^P”

The erratic tweets are a red flag for some fans of the actor, who is said to have battled depression and was the subject of a highly unflattering 2007 Radar magazine cover story about his behavior on the set of ‘Number 23.’

Jim has done some crazy things…like wear Jenny’s swimsuit. And you certainly need to have something wrong with you to be that funny, all the time, don’t you think?

This seems a bit odd. Why would Jenny McCarthy demand money? Like it’s Jim‘s responsibility to take care of her — which, c’mon, it isn’t. As Star reports, Jim is one big weirdo:

“If Jim doesn’t like you, he won’t even be civil toward you,” the insider tells Star. “He’ll ignore you and refuse to shake your hand – and stare at you like you’re from outer space! He also locks himself in a room with a statue of Buddha and obsessively prays for hours on end. And sometimes, he treated Jenny like a servant, barking at her to get him a drink or turn down the music. It was embarrassing to watch…[Jim]… would also stay in bed for days, says the source, “not changing his clothes, eating or answering his phone. Still, Jenny would open the curtains, get him to shower and cheer him up. I don’t know how she did it.”

So Jenny McCarthy was basically a live-in nurse masquerading as his girlfriend?

Do you buy this? Seems a bit far-fetched, but then again, odder things have happened.

Jim even admits himself that he’s difficult and some of Jenny‘s friends told Star (via Celebitchy.com):

“Jim is not easy to be with. He has a lot of problems with depression. It was such an emotional roller coaster for her. When he’d get down, he’d just disappear. He would hide out in a hotel or one of his homes, not answering her calls.” It got to be too much for Jenny and she “told friends she needed more support from her man.”

To add insult to injury, Jim Carrey left an ominously odd tweet on Sunday saying:

“I have freed Truman at long last! I am grateful for my avatar’s many yrs of dedicated service, but no one has ever won the Tour De France while back peddling. … so I killed him,” he wrote late Sunday night. “I do not plan 2 bow to expectations or to be confined by the fear of losing altitude in the ’statusphere’! (my word).”

Uh oh. Let’s just hope Jim gets the help he needs if he needs it.

Both released statements though their reps, saying they were “greatful” for the time together and have moved on amicably. Carey told his Twitter page:

“I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay!”

Jenny McCarthy was quick to point out that she plans to still be a part of Jim’s daugthter’s life.

Sadness! We actually thought they were cute together.
