Joaquin Phoenix’s rep says he isn’t crazy and slammed a Chicago-based psychiatrist who says the actor may be suffering from schizophrenia. Joaquin‘s recent behavior has raised eyebrows as the actor performed an odd hip-hop act and acted distant on David Letterman a few weeks back.

If Joaquin Phoenix is acting like being a junkie for a documentary, he deserves an Oscar for his performance. He appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman in a very puzzling, troubling interview. He mumbled answers and seemed out of it. And his friend Casey Affleck is supposed to be filming this for a documentary, but later said it was an act. Is it?

Casey is married to Joaquin’s sister. He is doing a documentary about Joaquin, a “retired” actor and his transition from acting to the music world.

Sources close to the whole Joaquin Phoenix rap explosion say it’s all an elaborate hoax. Joaquin Phoenix quit acting (and showering/shaving) a few months back and said he was going to focus exclusively on his rap career. He performed a rather humiliatingly bad stint at a Las Vegas nightclub.

Because if my friend/in-laws were ignoring the dependency problems like Casey was and filming me anyway, I’d be mad.
