Walter, a successful toy executuve and loving family man has gone missing and no matter what he tries, he couldn’t bring it back until one day, the beaver, the hand puppet enters his life.

The Beaver hits theaters in Spring, 2011. A lot of critics are watching to see if it could resurrect Mel’s acting career. Mel himself is also a two-time academy award winner. He can act.

“The second I met him [working on 'Maverick' in 1994], I said, ‘I will love this man for the rest of my life. When you love a friend, you don’t abandon them when they’re struggling … But more importantly, he is and has been a true and loyal friend. I hope I can get him through this dark moment.”
