Johnny Depp is he really the Sexiest Man Alive? Depp was named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2009 as we mentioned earlier. This is Johnny’s second Sexiest Man Alive cover. He joins the ranks with other double winners Brad Pitt and George Clooney.  Depp is starring in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland as well as next month’s Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, in which (as People magazine reports) he stepped in to take over Heath Ledger’s role after he died.

Johnny Depp, 46 is The Sexiest Man Alive 2009 as picked by People magazine. It’s Captain Jack Sparrow not Robert Pattinson. A fake People cover circulated online with Robert Pattinson on the cover stating RPattz as the Sexiest Man Alive didn’t work out.

Johnny Depp is going to help Nicolas Cage out of his money troubles. As we reported last week, Nicolas Cage is thisclose to becoming completely bankrupt. Cage is blaming it on an irresponsible money manager, but the actor himself has also been pretty easy, breezy with his millions. Depp, for the record, has said he will do “whatever he needs” to help out his old friend.

Johnny Depp is going to be a strange pirate. Yup, Disney hooked up Johnny with a fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. But the rest of the popular cast hasn’t agreed to do the movie, meaning Johnny is solo in this one for big names.

Anyone who can make Hunter S. Thompson and Willy Wonka sexy, could completely illuminate a role like Frank Sinatra. We’re getting hot just thinking about it.
