It’s been months since Hollywood news first reported about a rumored split between Depp and Paradis, but the “Dark Shadows” star has kept his silence about the breakup speculation… until now.

Johnny, who looked very lonely without Vanessa on his arm at the premiere of “Dark Shadows” in London, told the Sun:

“The rumours are not true. They are absolutely not true.”

He added:

“No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite… I can’t say enough about it not being over.”

If that is the case, then we wonder why the couple hasn’t shared a red carpet in a while… because them going stag to their movie premieres is what started these rumors in the first place! But then again, that doesn’t have to mean that they split up. Maybe they fired their nanny and one of them has to stay with the kids?

Doesn’t seem plausible, but if you guys have any better ideas, let us know.

Huh? How did he come up with that?

Highest paid actor Johnny Depp, who has played unforgettable characters in the past, some of his bests being Edward Scissorhands, Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Carribean,” Sweeney Todd, The Mad Hatter in “Alice In Wonderland” and, of course, Willy Wonka in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”

But where does he get his inspiration for each film character? At least for Willy Wonka, the “Dark Shadows” star admits on “Ellen” that actually imagined the childlike character to be like a drugged up George Bush!

As for the well-loved Edward Scissorhands, Depp channeled a loner with the mindset of a newborn “seeing things for the first time” and a dog demonstrating “unconditional love.”

Johnny Depp left celebrity gossip websites and “In Touch” tabloid wondering when he was spotted evading the paparazzi and “looking like he didn’t want to be seen” after exiting a building that was connected to Ashley Olsen‘s. Who else could he have visited but the 23 years younger Olsen twin? But the real question is, why? In addition to that, did Depp‘s ladylove of 14 years and mother of his two children, Vanessa Paradis, know about his whereabouts that day even though they were reportedly having problems?

A worker in the building from which Depp exited revealed:

“An e-mail went around to the employees saying Johnny Depp was using our building to try to avoid paparazzi.”

An insider recalled:

“It was quiet in her apartment, like it was just the two of them in there… It didn’t seem like it was just a visit between friends.”

Seems like Depp‘s finally in that stage. He is 48 after all…

Because all we have at this point is rumor and conjecture, and we haven’t had a glimmer of confirmation from the long-time couple whose enduring Hollywood romance has spawned two continents, defied the odds, and produced two children. As neither of them have confirmed or denied allegations of a split, we’re still hanging in the dark here. Vanessa?

“You know, when I eat three peas, I’m pregnant.”

the 39-year-old French singer, model and actress told E! Online.

“When I visit a city, I’m buying a house. In the winter I separate, in the summer I marry. It’s been 15 years since I’ve been getting married every year. In addition I have to answer all these rumours!”

Hmmm…while it’s not exactly an admission that she and Johnny Depp have split, it’s not a denial of the fact, either. So maybe the rumors of the split are true. But then again, maybe not.

It’s also worth taking note that Paradis recently attended the Paris premiere for her new movie, “Cafe de Flore,” all by her lonesome.

We’d hate to see the demise of such an ideal union. Dare we hope these two are just having some time off to commune with their individual artistic selves, and not headed for splitsville?

A few weeks back celebrity gossip websites reported that Johhny and Vanessa, who have two children together, were on the rocks, and that their sleepy and idyllic family life far from the glare of Hollywood in the French hamlet of Plan-de-la-Tour was no more…

According to sources, Johnny and Vanessa no longer live together, and that their relationship is all but officially finished.

And here we thought the highest paid actor in Hollywood had one of the most enviable and enduring unions in Tinseltown. Have Johnny and Vanessa succumbed to what is now known, by-and-large, as the Middle-Aged Itch?

Whatever the case, we’re sad they’ve broken up…and we’re still hoping it’s all a matter of talking it over.

Say it isn’t so!

Johnny and Vanessa have been together for almost 15 years, and yet they’ve never married. And now, if this new report on their relationship struggles is to be believed, they probably never will.

The Hollywood couple has reportedly been arguing a lot, and it seems their relationship is going downhill. A source close to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star tells RadarOnline.com:

“Johnny isn’t handling anything well right now… People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now. Their relationship is heading toward the end.”

And despite the fact that the two are not married, Johnny has reportedly been consulting family law attorneys regarding the split. The insider shares:

“Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship. They’re not married but they’ve been together for years and have kids together so it isn’t as easy as just breaking up.”

The source adds:

“Johhny is so talented at acting, but he doesn’t seem able to hide how badly things are going right now.”

Oh no. This is truly sad…

Well, no, it isn’t really his song, it’s a tune written by British band Babybird for their album “The Pleasures of Self Destruction.” But Johnny, a seasoned performer who does sing and perform with bands on his acoustic guitar, allegedly lent his awesome guitar-playing and what Hollywood rumors claim is his voice to the tongue-in-cheek single entitled “Jesus Stag Night Club”…

…and got blasted by a lot of Christian groups for his trouble.

The song is basically about a group of teenagers who hire a Jesus look-alike to organize a stag night (a.k.a. bachelor party). But during the wild party, the Son-of-God doppelgänger passes out from too much drink (and is presumed dead), and at the end of the song it’s revealed that He’s not just a Jesus impersonator, He’s the real thing.

“Saw a man in a bar with his hair like a lady/ Bloody thorns round his ear like he was a crazy/ He had holes in his hands and a cross for a spine/ Crushed a berry in his Perrier and called it wine.”

What is purported to be Johnny‘s gravelly voice yowls.

It’s either Johnny has a specific clause in his security detail contract stating he merits the same protection level as the President, or at least a very important foreign dignitary with diplomatic immunity…or he’s simply had the misfortune of being designated with the most overzealous guardians in Hollywood (barring Justin Timberlake‘s own muscled paparazzi-assaulting nannies, that is).

Do you remember two months ago when Johnny‘s security detail bodily hauled him away from fans at the New York premiere of “The Rum Diary” while he was still enjoying an autograph-signing and picture-taking tête-à-tête from behind a barricade? And then before that when one of them actually tackled him to the ground after he emerged slightly inebriated from a restaurant?

This time around, the victim, 52-year-old Robyn Ecker, who’s reported to be a disabled individual (although what kind of disability she has was never mentioned), merely happened to be dancing too close to Johnny at an Iggy Pop concert in L.A. where she had treated her husband to $600 V.I.P. tickets for his birthday.

So what do you do at an Iggy Pop concert? Remain seated and try not to move to avoid disturbing fellow concert-goers from their meditative listening enjoyment of punk rock?

Apparently that’s what Johnny‘s bodyguards deemed to be appropriate, because when Ecker accidentally strayed into what was defined as Johnny‘s outer security perimeter, his people pounced on her, grabbed her wrists, and wrestled her to the ground.

In fact, they traumatized her so much she had to leave mid-concert and check herself into a hospital for injuries.

And when celebrity news tried to reach Johnny‘ camp to get their side of the story, they were met with a stone wall and equally stoney silence. Savvy?

All things considered, at least Robyn Ecker should be grateful she didn’t have any lasting injuries, except the one to her dignity.

But apparently, Johnny doesn’t “give a rat’s a**e” about the success or failure of the movie he produced. Well, d-uh. He’s the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he can stand a few movie flops here and there…

Johnny continues on to say he isn’t bothered by how poorly the film performed at the U.S. box office, because he believes it can stand the test of time.

“It’s always a c**p shoot and really if you have that in your head while you’re making a movie the process would become something very different. No, I couldn’t give a rat’s arse [about the money), not really,”

the 48-year-old A-list actor told celebrity news.

“I believe that this film, regardless of what it makes in, you know, Wichita, Kansas, this week – which is probably about $13 – it doesn’t make any difference.”

That he strongly believes in “Rum Diary” despite what the public thinks of it says a lot about the kind of person Johnny Depp is.

“I believe that this film will have a shelf life. I think it will stick around and people will watch it and enjoy it.”

Wish we had Johnny‘s confidence. It’d make living life in the fast lane much easier.

We suppose he can afford it. After all, he makes an average of $20 to $40 million per movie. What’s a measly private jet ride? Or two. Or three. Or a dozen.

Why Johnny resumed his nasty nicotine habit after quitting for two and a half years, we can’t really say. He doesn’t speak about it, in any case. But he’s taken to flying by private jet so he can smoke without bothering anyone but the flight crew. Assuming they care.

“On a private plane you can smoke. It makes it an incredibly expensive habit of course, because you can only smoke on a private plane.”

Johnny rightly says.

“The commercial flight thing, it just gets a little weird when you’re standing in line and suddenly you’re not just a guy standing in line any more, you become sort of novelty boy.”

We get it. Johnny likes his privacy. And he likes his privacy so he can smoke.

Tsk. Anyone want to try to convince him to quit?

The then 24-year-old English actress played a relatively minor part in the 2009 American crime drama about the life of notorious bank robber John Dilinger, and Carey‘s character had several kissing scenes with swashbuckling Johnny…

How lucky can Carey get? Thousands upon thousands of women (and even some men) would start a stampede just to smooch Johhny Depp. Carey Mulligan got to do it 16 times!

“I had to kiss him several times,”

Carey remembers.

“It was sixteen times, but it was cut out of the film because I looked so uncomfortable.”

Despite having been nominated for an Oscar for her work in “An Education,” Carey could hardly pull it off convincingly during her lip lock scenes with Depp.

“I grew up watching everything he’s ever done and it’s difficult to hide my inner fan when I am around him,”

she gushes.

“It’s terrible.”

Hollywood celebrity websites don’t blame Carey Mulligan for getting all a-dither. How would we do if given a chance to suck face with Johnny Depp 16 times? Didn’t you even get to keep to those spliced out bits, Carey?

Johnny was at the “Late Show With David Letterman” and was asked about whether Lily-Rose liked the “Baby” singer.

“Oh yes she does,”

he sighed.

“But I’m not sure anyone’s daughter doesn’t.”

Johnny went on further to say that he’d even met Justin.

“I’ve met the young man, and a very sweet kid.”

So, uh…are you going to put that tire iron away now, daddy?

It’s not as if he’d allow Lily-Rose to date, young as she is, but at least former wild child Johnny Depp is perceptive enough a parent to allow his precious daughter’s crush on the singer. Just as long as it’s a crush and nothing more…

Well, okay, maybe they were there, but in a very discreet capacity, because the house was packed and the crowds were wild as Johnny showed a part of himself he rarely takes out in front of an audience…

Johnny was in Texas to promote “The Rum Diaries”, a film he’s produced, at the Austin Film Festival, and while there, he had this great idea of a 90-minute show which he arranged to perform with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top at the Continental Club.

And when Johnny played with former bandmate Bill Carter (yes, Johnny was in a band), the crowd went crazy, and thankfully, no overzealous bodyguards physically shunted Depp out of the way. Or even knocked him down.

We wish he does this again in every city he intends to promote his movies in…

Take for example this curiously elderly bulldog-type who’s forcibly pulling Johnny away from barricaded…barricaded!…fans begging for autographs. And just a moment before this photo was taken, Johnny was having a jolly good time having a parlay with them at the New York premier of “Rum Diary”, and peacefully scribbling out his John Hancocks without anyone manhandling his person.

Come to think of it, this isn’t the first time our “Demon Barber of Fleet Street” has been assaulted by his security team. Early this month, one of them tackled him down to the ground as he emerged slightly tipsy from a restaurant. An outraged fan caught the whole incident on tape, too.

How do these security people get off on fumbling with Johnny‘s body? No wonder he wasn’t wearing his swashbuckling smile for the cameras.

Lily-Rose , his oldest daughter with long-time partner, French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis, is a precocious 12, and it won’t be long now before boys start turning up on the radar.

“I’ll probably be standing there with a tire iron,”

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star told entertainment news.

“Yeah, probably there’ll be a bottle of rum in my left hand and a tire iron in the right hand.”

And why he’d choose a tire iron over Captain Jack Sparrow’s pistols and a cutlass is beyond our ken. Only Johnny would know the best way to deal with his daughter’s future suitors….savvy?

Still, we don’t blame Johnny Depp. He and Vanessa almost lost Lily-Rose four years ago when she was hospitalized for a mysterious illness in England. After that ordeal, prospective suitors are probably easier to deal with.

Celebrity news learned that apparently, Johnny‘s dream version of the classic film where Tonto, instead of that white crime-fighting cowboy, is given star billing, originally featured werewolves. And the production expenses, estimated at $275 million, had Disney backing out of the project.

So Johnny, in pursuit of his dream, decided to make some key changes which included changing directors (from explosives-lover Jerry Bruckheimer to the “Pirates” franchise’s Gore Verbinski), and of course, removing the werewolves.

“The original script included werewolves and other supernatural creatures from Native American myths [WENDINGO!!! -Ed.]. Those bells and whistles have been jettisoned, but according to sources who have read recent drafts, three massive action set pieces involving trains remain, including one described as the biggest train sequence in film history.”

Depp, who has Indian blood coursing through his veins, is adamant about making this movie no matter what.

“Depp’s interest in playing Tonto is about fulfilling his Marlon Brando legacy. Depp is partly Native American himself and he was partly mentored by Brando, who was a big Indians’ rights advocate. So he didn’t want to do any kind of jaunty performance that plays it light and spoofy with the Native American thing. No Captain Jack crap this time around.”

So with a budget reduced to $215 million, and minus the werewolves (what does Disney have against werewolves, anyway?), Johnny was finally given the green light for pre-production to begin.

And the fact that he made no sound as he toppled to the ground in his bodyguard’s arms…uh…did that mean too much liquor paralyzed his tongue rather than loosened it? And where was long-time partner Vanessa Paradis in all this tumult, celebrity news wondered.

“Whoah!”

Bellowed one scandalized male fan who tried to get Johnny‘s authograph but was barred by the bulky bodyguard.

“You dropped Johnny! Why did you do that to Johnny for?”

As said bodyguard tried to steer the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star into a waiting vehicle.

“Hey, Mr. Depp, are you okay?”

The concerned fan called to the wobbly Johnny Depp, who still hadn’t uttered a single sound, but the fan was repulsed by the rest of Johnny’s security team who bundled up the sossed actor into the car and roared off into the night.

Earlier this week, Johnny, like Kristen Stewart has in the past, was quoted in an interview saying:

“Well, you just feel like you’re being raped somehow,”

in reference to the price of fame.

Apparently, Johnny didn’t want to seem ungrateful for all his blessings, particularly the $300 million he’s made off the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. And of course to the press, despite the pressure to bring to bear on his private life.

“I am truly sorry for offending anyone in any way. I never meant to,”

Depp said in a statement.

“It was a poor choice of words on my part in an effort to explain a feeling. I understand there is no comparison and I am very regretful. In an effort to correct my lack of judgment, please accept my heartfelt apology.”

And in Hollywood, as Johnny Depp should’ve learned as an almost-30-year veteran, you keep your feelings to yourself, no matter what…

The fact that he’s been overpaid for a measly handful of movies…$300 million for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, in case you didn’t know…has made him prey to the price of fame.

According to entertainment news today, swashbuckling Johnny received a whopping overpay of $300 million for all four “Pirates” films. That’s a total of $75 million per film, not counting his share of box office and film merchandize proceeds…

In fact, his salary has landed Johnny in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest paid actor in the world.

“Basically, if they’re going to pay me the stupid money right now, I’m going to take it,”

Johnny‘s declared pointblank.

“I have to. I mean, it’s not for me. Do you know what I mean? At this point, it’s for my kids. It’s ridiculous, yeah, yeah. But ultimately is it for me? No. No. It’s for the kids.”

Depp has two kids with partner, French actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, and Lilly-Rose, 12 and Jack, 9 are dearer to him than any popular opinion about his earning powers ever will be.

And also because Johnny believes there’s…

“a part of me that needs to have this kind of stimulation to the brain.”

And by stimulation, does he mean the acting, or the money?
