Kate, ever the ambitious reality TV mom, lashed out at her middling ex-husband after he offered some words of unsolicited advice concerning his relief the kids were exiting a life under the limelight and moving towards normalcy at last. This on the heels of TLC cancelling “Kate Plus 8″…

“It’s a situation where Jon may be accepting of mediocre for his kids by working a regular job,”

Kate retorted.

“But I want the best for my kids and to give them the best opportunity.”

The best opportunity to what? To allow mom to keep the flashy, black Audi TT she just purchased? To live in luxurious digs, maintain the regular salon appointments, the expensive wardrobe, and tanning bed sessions?

Whose opportunity is Kate talking about here? For all intents and purposes, her eight kids are practically bringing in the bacon to help her lead the lifestyle she’s become accustomed to.

Wonder how much money Kate has saved for the future to pay for her kids’ sessions on the shrink’s couch.

Following this announcement earlier last month, star news observed Kate‘s behavior has become more irrational, punctuated with periods of outbursts. Like when she threw an on-air tantrum during her recent outing with the kids on a rafting trip to the Grand Canyon National Park, all over a slice of pizza. And when she went and bought a flashy, black Audi TT without any back seats to cram her eight children in.

“Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life – a simple life,”

Jon, who’s gotten his real life as a computer technician back, advised Kate after she admitted she was “freaking out” about losing her job and not being able to provide for her brood. Of course, she probably realized Jon was providing his share of child support, anyway, hence the purchase of the sports car.

“Things will work out the way they should work out,”

Jon continued.

“Obviously, there are families out there that have several kids – people work normal jobs, and things work out.”

But Kate has ambitions…you don’t get a tummy tuck, boob job, dyed hair extensions, and rock-hard body for nothing.

The erstwhile other half of the former “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ couldn’t contain his happiness after learning his ex-wife’s show that features his eight children has been pulled off the air.

Jon told entertainment news he’s very relieved about the cancellation, because finally, his kids can start leading normal lives after practically growing up on reality television since the show first aired in 2007.

“Contracts have to end at some point. I think everything had run its course, and it was time to come to an end anyways.”

Jon said.

“I hope they can have more private family moments. I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future.”

Well, we didn’t know Jon had that in him. And when we turned to Kate for her reaction, all she said was:

“I know that I’m glad to be divorced and on my own.”

The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ star tried to lug his tummy around the goal posts, but ended looking up like a very pregnant soccer player. Despite his new rigorous career as a construction worker, Jon pulled a muscle after two games and had to bow out.

Wonder if Jon has seen his ex-wife Kate lately and how amazingly buff she’s become. Entertainment news even speculates Kate can bench press him any day.

Don’t you just wish he’d get his act together, if not for him, then for his eight kids?

While appearing on The Today Show, she told Matt Lauer:

“I feel like I have my life together pretty much, but let be honest it’s going to take a strong person to wrangle this mess. If [a suitor] can pass the test, he’s got to be Superman.”

How does the reality star deal with her immense disappointment with ex-husband Jon (who barely sees their eight children at all).

“I wish that he would see them more, to be honest; so do the kids. The important thing is that I control my reaction, my behavior, my attitude and my words. What I receive back is not in my control.”

Sounds like she’s really gained some perspective. We’re proud Kate!

Jon was nothing but drama when he lived there at the time. Things have since quieted down in the Gosselin world.

Glassman, who dated Gosselin after his split from ex-wife Kate, filmed her return to The Alexandria in Manhattan, New York, when she once lived there with the dad-of-eight.

“I had to come in and let you guys know that, that was lies,” Hailey told the concierge of the now infamous 2009 December incident.

“You remember me, right?”

“Of course… I try to forget him though. He’s an a**hole,” the concierge replied.

“He scares me. I really ask myself, how could you do what you did, being such a nice person?”

Hmmm. Do you think Jon was a jerk because of the stress at the time? He hasn’t made any headlines lately…is he over it? Did Jon get a bad rap?

Jon and Kate have been friendly, but doesn’t he have a girlfriend? How can he miss his ex that much then if he is with other women?

Jon Gosselin is doing everything he can to win back the love of ex-wife, Kate, including getting a real job to impress his ex.

“They both realize how much they miss each other,” a friend of the couple’s tells me. “Neither one of them have been really happy since their ugly split and would love to turn back time to the point where they were both in love before fame took over.”

Jon recently traded his Ed Hardy shirts for a hardhat and scored a job with Green Pointe Energy, a Pennsylvania-based renewable energy company. The former reality star and computer techie spends his days installing solar panels and doing other good-for-the-planet deeds.

After everything they have gone through, do you really think Kate is looking to reconcile with Jon? He was pretty horrible for awhile there. Would a reconcile be best for their kids?

Gosselin is said to have started working for Green Pointe Energy, a Pennsylvania-based company which specializes in renewable energy.

Once upon a time, Jon was a computer technician before reality TV. We wish Jon the best of luck, it must be tough after years of partying and not having too much stress about having a career to get a real life job.. but we all have to get on with life, don’t we?

Good job Jon but what’s with those cigarettes? Time to give them up? Eww.

Those kids aren’t dummies! They know where the good life is.

Anderson Cooper, who was filling in for Regis, asked Kate how she is getting along with her ex.

“It’s…you know,” she said. “I do try to keep it as peaceful as possible. I’ll speak for myself … he’s still their father.”

Kate said that during Jon’s scheduled visitation, the kids would rather be at home with her and she spends the time waiting “for the phone call from how many of them to come home.”

“It’s not home, it doesn’t feel like home to them… they want to be at home, in their house,” she said.

Jon – who learned from the Michael Lohan school of PR – fired right back he wasn’t replying to the lies and rising above it. So what was this reply?

Jon came out of the divorce without any income, but Kate has job offers and money to spare. Jon wanted a piece of it, it seems.

Glassman said she has the hand-written notes Jon used to extort Kate over the phone. “We were in bed and Jon called Kate on speaker phone,” she said. “He wrote down what he wanted to say to her and then he read from his notes. He told her, ‘You either give me money, or I’m going to call CPS.’”

Jon reportedly threatened to tell police that Kate had hurt their daughter Mady’s arm. One of his notes reads, “Need 50k or 100k now. 24/48 hours go to DA.” During one call, Glassman said Kate broke down. “Kate started screaming and Jon just started laughing,” Hailey said. “He just laughed at her. Later when he got off the phone I asked him, ‘What are you doing? Why are you doing this? This is the mother of your eight children!’ And he told me, ‘Oh, you don’t know what I went through with her, what I had to deal with.’”

Hmmmmm….Jon has since come out and denied the incident, but Kate hasn’t. I don’t know which story to believe…Hailey’s – she has an axe to grind, Jon – he does too and he was desperate for money or Kate’s silence – which is equivalent to saying it did happen. Who do you believe?

A friend of Jon tells In Touch Weekly that Jon’s kids were his main motivation to get in shape.

“Jon’s made time for himself,” “Jon’s own dad never took care of himself and died at an early age, so Jon is doing whatever he can to ensure he’ll be around for his kids as long as possible.” His pal adds,“He feels better and looks better than ever.”

We give Jon our thumbs up if he’s really turning his life around; Getting himself in shape and hopefully a less party animal for his young kids! If Jon can do it, so can we, right? Let’s get in shape before the end of the summer.

Radar Online reports that Jon and his life-coach, Sylvia Lafair, are currently writing the new book,

It will tell Jon’s journey from being an unknown father of eight to reality star and regular tabloid fodder.

Co-author and Jon’s life-coach Lafair, who takes Jon on soul searching missions into the mountains of Pennsylvania for $10,000, tells RadarOnline.com: “The book is about having eight kids all at once when he was under the age of 30.”

She says, “It includes some of the lessons that Jon has been learning with helpful hints on how he is working to reframe his relationship with his family including his two brothers and his mother.” “It also explores how the death of his father affected him.”

We know Jon is working hard to re-invent himself, you know he got a gigantic dragon tattoo on his back to mark his rebirth, right? And he even has his girlfriend’s name featured within the tatttoo in Korean. How long have they been together? Months if that long. Let’s hope this one lasts otherwise not sure if he still wants her name on his back.

Jon told Radar Online that the tattoo is something which resembles a rebirth or a change in him. As we now know that the dragon tattoo also features his new girlfriend, Ellen Ross’ name written in Korean as Jon’s manager tells US Magazine.

Gosselin, 33, told the rag he couldn’t be happier with his new gal, the two met on a blind date earlier this year.

Jon tells US magazine, “We just kind of hit it off, backyard barbeques in Pennsylvania, hanging out, good times,” “She knew of me and all that stuff [and still] saw me as a normal person.” The relationship is “really different for me,” “It’s like a comfort zone.”

Ellen is 23, apparently she works for the government. Now what does Ellen see in Gosselin, we don’t know. But if the two make each other happy, we’re happy for them.

But having your new girlfriend’s name inked on your back after just been dating for what? A couple months? That’s a bit too crazy, you think?

since her bitter breakup with Jon it’s clear that the difference between Zen and now is Hailey mocking Jon – and his new tattoo gives her the perfect opportunity.

“I think congratulations are in order. He has successfully turned his back into an Ed Hardy t-shirt,” Glassman giggled to RadarOnline.com on Monday. “It’s what he always wanted [to look like Ed Hardy]…so mission accomplished!”

This tattoo is enormous…and only partially done! How much money do you think that cost Jon?

RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained the first photos of the former reality TV star’s new body art, including pictures of the work in progress.

The 33-year-old ex-husband of Kate Gosselin says he has been doing some soul searching and got the tattoo to signify changes he is making to his life.

“I have planned this tattoo for years now,” Jon told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “I wanted something that resembled a rebirth or a change in me.”

Jon says he picked a Korean dragon because it’s a symbol of rebirth and the circle of life.

“The dragon is all encompassing. It has all parts of the zodiac,” Jon tells RadarOnline.com.

Well, I’m not sure I see the connection with the rebirth, but whatever. Can you see it? Do you like the tattoo?

Who do you think leaked these videos to the press? Is Kate Gosselin after something? Probably not, since she didn’t take the video and never had contact with him in France. So, who is behind it?

In it, he’s clearly sharing a quiet moment away from the hectic fray of being a celebrity for no good reason. And acting like a giant douchebag in the meantime. I’ve done it myself sometimes. But never with the clear intent of making sure everybody in the world would see it someday and stoke the flames of my inexplicable prominence.

RadarOnline.com spoke to a source with direct knowledge of what went down in France.

The insider revealed that in the video, Hailey and Jon had smoked spliffs, mixing marijuana and tobacco.
The insider, who confirmed that Jon was “also drunk” on champagne in the video, told RadarOnline.com that the father-of-eight smoked spliffs regularly.

“Jon and Hailey were confused about how people smoked weed in France because they mix it with tobacco. All they did [on their trip] was drink Crystal and smoke spliffs with the friends they were with,” “Whenever someone was sparking it up, they were right there smoking it.”

In the video, Jon and Hailey take turns filming each other on the balcony of their hotel, making silly cracks about the French.

At one point on the tape, Jon sticks a cigarette up his nose, starts massaging his belly and tells Hailey, “This is how the French smoke. They smoke so much they put cigarettes in every orifice of their body.”

Well, honestly if you’re a public figure with kids, 8 young kids in Jon’s case, you’ve got a big role model responsibility. How would your kids feel if they were to see you in a video looking like this?

Jon, 33 introduced his one WHOLE month girlfriend to his kids: 9-year-old twin daughters Mady and Cara and 6-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.

A source close to Jon tells Us magazine about Ross who lives closeby Harrisburg, Penn, “She is the first love interest to be introduced to his children,”

As you probably know (if not you have to bookmark our site) that Gosselin has recently moved into a one-bedroom apartment in Reading, Penn., to be closer to the kids who live with their mother, his ex-wife out in Wernersville, Penn.

A source says, although the kids were “confused” meeting Ross a few days earlier, “really taken to Ellen and she’s enjoying spending time with them.”

Good, let’s hope they don’t have to adjust to a new face every few months.

What do all these women see in Jon? He’s had a fleet of girlfriends lately, there’s Hailey Glassman, Deanna Hummel, Morgan Christie and he’s linked to some wealthy older woman (although not confirmed) now Ellen?
