The Disney starlet performed her new song “Who Says.” The proceeds of the event will go to raise money for City of Hope, a leading cancer research and treatment center.

While Selena is doing charitable work in L.A. her boyfriend Justin Bieber has just made another World record! We have to give Justin a title something like “King of Teen Pop.” Bieber’s movie ”Never Say Never” has just passed Michael Jackson’s documentary “This is It’s” box office record.

Bravo Justin, surely girlfriend Selena has gotta be so proud of you like all of us. I think Selena and Justin look cuter than Selena and Nick. What do you think?

Course, it could be that they all have girlfriends or wives now and no one cares. From Celebrity Mania:

The trio invited their enthusiastic fans, who are seen wearing green bracelets, on the filming. In one shot, Joe is seen belting out their single behind his piano before leaping across the stage and stunning the crowd with his dances.

Nick, who refused to take off his sunglasses and sported blue polo shirt, sat behind his cymbal and in another photo, he is seen busy with his Blackberry during the shooting spare time. Meanwhile, Kevin spent his time by chatting with crew members and fans.

I guess the boys are growing up and moving on to better and more adult activities. Do you think they have lost some of their popularity?

The Jonas brothers’ mother spilled the beans to the magazine during an interview, saying, “Nick is working on a solo act–it’s called Nick Jonas and The Administration. Shhh! He’s at the photo shoot for the album cover right now.”

With the youngest trio Nick going solo and eldest brother Kevin getting hitched. Could it be the end of the Jonas trio??

Don’t worry you all Jonas Brothers fans. It doesn’t look like a split will happen any time soon. Ken Baker from E! seems to have the inside scoop. He tweeted, “JB is not ending or even breaking. Just a side project between JB albums…” – via Hollyscoop

So Nick is doing a side project only but do you think the Jonas trio will stick around for a while before they all eventually branch out?

Just Jared Jr. interviewed the pop trio and asked all the really tough questions:

On what they want to see in the TONY section: “I think the important thing, especially in New York, is you always wanna know who’s playing, what’s happening in your area. And the exciting, random events too, like the air-guitar tournaments…from—what’s the up-and-rising neighborhood in Brooklyn? Umm, Williamsburg? From Williamsburg to downtown.”

On their broad music tastes: “If it’s good, it’s good. Rock, pop, hip-hop, whatever it is. You can listen to a Shania Twain song produced by Mutt Lange, and then you can listen to any of his other bands and the production aspect of that is so incredible. You can’t deny the power that is Mutt Lange, his vision—from power pop to heavy metal. That’s a man who has an open mind to music.”

On their fans growing with them: “Our audience is growing up with us, but we’re always open to having new listeners. Even now, people are like, ‘Oh, dude, you’re at the top’—and we’re like, ‘Ahhh, we just started.’”

This movie is in 3D format.  The brothers also promised they would drop in some theaters and surprise female fans.  I guess that surprise didn’t equal ticket sales.  From Deadline Hollywood Daily:

The bottom dropped out of Disney’s Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience to Hollywood’s immense surprise. What were weekend predictions of as much as $30 million and even $40 million had to be revised down, down, down as it opened to $4.8M Friday and then $4.7M Saturday for only a $12.7M weekend with Sunday’s estimate of $3M.

Did you run out to see the Jonas boys play and sing?  Can you wait until it’s out on video?  I think I’ll save my money for now…

I guess all three Jonas boys wear boxers because no other kind is mentioned.  Hmmm.  Anyway, the SFGate says this:

During the band’s recent tour, the trio reportedly began noticing pairs of boxer shorts disappearing from their dressing rooms and initially passed it off as a gag.

But when notes began to turn up in the guys’ garment bags proclaiming: “Your undies are safe with us. … The Undie Snatchers!,” the brothers are said to have hired more security staff to keep their possessions safe.

Look at the size of the new security?  Not someone to be messed with!!

And you know it’s a bunch of tweener girls somewhere.  How long until they turn up on eBay and someone is arrested?  Is there some underground that discusses who and when the Jonas Brothers’ boxers would be taken?  Why leave a note?

2009 will be Fan Family Experience all year long for fans of the Jonas Brothers says the three brothers in a new myspace blog post. The Fan Family kickoff says the following:

Hey everyone!

2008 was an amazing year, and we owe it all TO YOU!

In 2009, we want to work WITH YOU to make this year even better!

As you know, the Jonas family does everything together, and we know you and your friends, the FANFAMILY, do everything together.

You may have heard that our 3D movie is coming out and in the movie, we invite you behind the scenes for the ultimate Jonas experience.

But over the next seven weeks – which will be the busiest seven weeks ever – we’re going to work together to create the “FanFamily” Experience!

What is the FanFamily Experience?

There will be a variety of activities and events that allow us to join forces on everything we do this year – from the 3D MOVIE to the World Tour to the release of our new CD. But our first FanFamily project is to make the OPENING WEEKEND OF THE 3D MOVIE the BIGGEST OPENING WEEKEND EVER for a 3D movie.

Besides reading letters and watching some of your videos, we want to GET TO KNOW YOU – the FanFamily – better by working together in some new and exciting ways!

Over the coming weeks, make sure you are checking MySpace, watching YouTube, and listening to SayNow for more details on how to participate in the FanFamily Experience.

Also garnering a piece were the Jonas Brothers. Kerry and the Jonas Brothers were pretty obvious to me but there are some big names that are surprisingly left out of the Grammy nominations. That include Taylor Swift from the song categories, Pink from the album categories, as well as Leona Lewis, and Mariah Carey.  Entertainment Weekly lists a whole bunch more, too.  What were they thinking this year when the panelists voted?

The biggest haul of nominations is by Lil’ Wayne.  Huh?  I’ve never even listened to one of his songs.

Katy had a banner year, became a household name because she kissed girls!

For all of you who wish on the brightest star there were more than just a measly three Jonas brothers, than take solace in the hidden fourth Jonas brother: Frankie! Frankie Jonas is the eight-year-old brother of the three promise-ring wearing lads and is making his big screen debut.

As if this couldn’t get any more closet homosexual wholesome, all three wear promise rings to symbolize their purity.

The liars brothers were quoted as saying to England’s Daily Mirror:

“Russell obviously recognised that we are gentlemen…he must have run out of material for a little while if that’s what he had to resort to…We didn’t let him spoil it though. We focussed on our performance and had a great time. “

I must say, it’s certainly refreshing in this sexually saturated culture to find three teenage  boys, with hormones pulsating through their every bodily fiber, who’ve chosen so wisely to save themselves. It must take great fibbing ability fortitude and strong set of PR handlers ethics.

Was she calling other people sluts who didn’t wear a purity ring?  Ehh, probably not.  Really.  To their faces.  She said she meant it, but now she says she may have re-worded her blunt statement had she thought a minute longer.  Well,  duh.  You’ve got Britney in the front who has almost admitted she lied about being a virgin when young.  There’s Miley Cyrus who keeps trying to pose nude up front.  Then you’ve got Britney’s sister who had a baby, etc., etc., etc.

Did she put her foot in her mouth?  Yeah.  The Jonas Brothers were cool, why should she squawk?

They recently told MTV UK that they think he needs a hug.  And they don’t blame him.  Maybe they are even taking a crack at him, by saying he was running low on material.  A comedian – running low on material?  I doubt it.  He was just not funny.  He was rude and obnoxious, yet more people watched the show over last year!  Can you believe it?

Did you think Russell was funny?  The Jonas’ proved they are classy and didn’t start beating the tar out of him on stage….might have made it more interesting though.

Although she hasn’t acknowledged the dating thing but there have been numerous publications reporting these two as a couple. One thing for sure Selena and the Jonas brothers are fairly tight. Selena and her on-screen big brother David Henrie make a new YouTube video urging everyone to buy the Jonas Brothers’ latest album “A Little Bit Longer.”

Selena says in the video “Go buy the Jonas Brothers’ album “A Little Bit Longer” in stores right now!” Do you think Selena made the video as a return favor for Kevin Jonas wearing a t-shirt the other day which reads “Team Demi and Selena”?  Or perhaps she’s just supporting Nick Jonas! Whatever but I think they are soooo cute!

The band started as a solo project of Nicholas Jonas. When Nick was 6 years old, he was discovered while singing at a barber shop. At the age of 7, Nick began performing on Broadway. He had acted in several plays, including A Christmas Carol (in 2000 as Tiny Tim and Scrooge at eight).

In 2002 while performing in Beauty and the Beast, Nick had written a song with his father called “Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer).” Nick performed the song on the 2002 annual Broadway “Equity Fights AIDS” album, Broadway’s Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Vol. 4.

While Nicholas was working on his solo project, Joe Jonas followed in his footsteps to Broadway, appearing in Baz Lurhmann’s production of La Boheme.

By September 2004, an executive at Columbia Records found out about Nick’s song. Nick was soon jointly signed to INO Records and Columbia Records and released the single “Dear God.”

In early 2005, Columbia Records’ new president, Steve Greenberg, listened to Nick’s record. While Greenberg did not like the album, he did like Nick’s voice. After meeting with Nick and hearing the song, “Please Be Mine,” written and performed by the brothers, Daylight/Columbia Records decided to sign the three as a group act.
