Because you can really feel how much they value each other’s contribution to the relationship they share in the second movie they’re starring in together, “Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows” that premieres in theaters in a few weeks…

“Last time around, there was, for some reason or other, that wave of ‘bromance’ in the air. I don’t think when you see this, you’ll feel that we’ve restrained ourselves at all,”

Oscar-nominee Downey, Jr. admits.

“Truth be told, the bottom line with these stories, it’s about this one man’s observation of this other man who tells him that he is the only true friend he has and him realising that he is the only person that he is actually very, very close to besides his wife. I think that that’s just a great theme. The bottom line is that we are in this love together.”

His co-star and bromance partner, English actor Jude Law who plays Watson,  agrees.

“The brother theme is really strong in this one actually. That’s when [Noomi Rapace] gets involved, too. There is a theme or a demand later on in this film where it questions one’s reliance on someone else and can you really trust someone?”

But what really piques our interest is something that Downey, Jr. says about his very physical encounters with Law in this “Sherlock Holmes” sequel that’s due out December 16:

“Oh, you are going to love this – we like getting sweaty together. I mean, we like working our a**** off. We like to work.”

And we’re getting sweaty just thinking about it. Take a look at the trailer and see what we mean…

So why did they split this time? Nobody’s saying. In fact, it appears to be amicable.

“It is mutual and amicable and they are still friends,” a friend of the actors says. According to the friend, the pair separated several weeks ago. “It was an entirely an end-of-the relationship decision,” the friend says. “It had run its course.”

Well! It’s tough to believe that a pair so passionate about one another have split so quietly. Maybe we’ll find out more in the coming weeks?

The ceremony is recognized with a red and white bracelet, which you can see both Sienna and Jude are wearing while vacationing. Awwww, how sweet.

The couple literally tied the knot at a traditional ‘Baci’ marriage blessing during a holiday in Laos, the Daily Mail has learned.

A village shaman who joined them at the wrist with thread gave them red-and-white thread bracelets to mark their union.

And although they have kept the ceremony a secret, 38-year-old Law was still wearing his wristband during an appearance at the Tony Awards in New York.

I wonder when their real wedding is going to be. Rumor had it to be sometime this fall, but that is being kept a closely guarded secret too. When do you think they will get married?

Jude was not so nice to Sadie when they were married and having three children. He kind of cheated on her several times and even with his current squeeze, Sienna Miller!

The Sherlock Holmes actor is reportedly seeking a court injunction to prevent his ex-wife, Sadie Frost, from printing details about their marriage in her upcoming autobiography, Crazy Days.

Law and Frost were married from 1997 until 2003.

According to a source, Frost is none too happy about the legal action, particularly since Law was already aware of the book and had even talked with him about it.

What a jerk…I wonder what made Jude change his mind about the book. Could it possibly have been something to do with his rekindled romance with Sienna?

If the hair didn’t look bad, is it really that big of a deal? Maybe…but the real fight is probably over the upcoming wedding of Jude and Sienna, the one who broke up their marriage.

Miss Miller, 28, left Miss Frost furious after taking her young son Rudy, seven, to the hairdresser, where all his golden curls were cut off.

And Miss Frost, 45 – who has three children by her former husband Law – has now hit back by banning Miss Miller from attending her nine-year-old daughter Iris’s ballet recital next week.

OK…so those curls are special to some moms. But banning her from their activities?

Sienna and Jude have been keeping a low profile since they started dating (again) a few months back. Maybe being out of the spotlight will help both of them. From NZCity:

The couple – who are reported to be engaged for the second time – are looking to purchase a new home in London, and are tempted by a £4 million pad in Highgate, north London.

A source said: “They’ve looked at a few properties in the north London area.

“They’ve taken a real fancy to a £4 million six-bedroom period property near their favourite pub in Highgate. They have decided to snub Sienna’s beloved Notting Hill and Primrose Hill.

“Buying in Highgate means they can still walk to Hampstead in minutes and Jude will be just around the corner from ex-wife Sadie Frost and their children.”

Do you think Jude and Sienna can make it a second time around? They each had some personal problems, so maybe they matured and can work out their couple problems this time around.

Can you imagine how many shades of awkward that meeting would be? Yikes. We read somewhere that Jude didn’t even remember Samantha when she reappeared 9 months pregnant and wanting money. Anyway, according to The Sun, Jude was in no mood to chit chat when making his voyage.

“Jude, who has rekindled his romance with Factory Girl star SIENNA MILLER, looked stressed arriving in Miami on Wednesday. Asked if he was set to meet Sophia for the first time, he replied: “It’s nothing to do with you.”

The article also mentions that Jude wasn’t thrilled for the meet-up but wants to do the right thing.

However, Celebitchy.com unearthed an interview where he says he’s thrilled to be getting older:

“If I have a look around at the moment I feel great relief because finally others are entering the limelight. Men like Robert Pattinson must now play the Adonis. For me it was always a restraint, a restriction. My goal was always to be recognized as a good actor but no one was interested in that, simply because society just wants to warm towards your appearance. This is the great blemish of society. When you suddenly appear on the scene and you are the new face, everything centers on you. I experienced this in my mid-20s and I found it rather hard.”

Hm. Wonder if he was lamenting his good looks when he found himself entangled with the nanny….

A source close to the couple tells us: “Sienna was always the one. And now she is back in his life he never wants to let her go again. Jude did some serious thinking over Christmas in Blighty with his ex-wife Sadie and the kids. And he realises just how important family life is to him.

“Sienna’s nearest and dearest are getting their wedding hats ready as the buzz reaches them they are about to get engaged.

 Well, I think maybe they have matured enough that they could actually make this work. Sienna has been rocked by scandal, but so has Jude. Is it enough scandal to put past them and grow up?

While it’s assumed that Jude‘s been signing checks and sending them off to Florida, it’s pretty common knowledge that Jude and Sophia have yet to meet. All of that is about to change, according to The News of The World via Showbiz Spy:

Jude Law has finally agreed to meet his lovechild. The British actor has arranged to visit daughter Sophia — the result of a brief romance with model Samantha Burke — in Florida . The tot was born in September 2009. Burke, 25, bragged to friends the Sherlock Holmes star phoned at Christmas to arrange a visit “within a few weeks.” “She’s over the moon. She was hurt he had not seen Sophia.”

There’s also some babble about how Samantha has delusions of grandeur about winning him back, eventhough she knows the actor is currently dating Sienna Miller.

Apparently, his highness felt the presence of NYU student eyes while he was working out at the gym. Thank God some oranges were handy!

“They were spying on me when I was with the kids and working out. It got to where I truly felt like [they were] peeping Toms. Where I come from, peeping Toms have things thrown at them.”

Fast forward, and Jude‘s a four-time daddy, and he has reunited with Sienna where both are starring on Broadway and eating…pizza? Star magazine reports that the two ate pizza in New York City on Thanksgiving.

“They were offered a private table in the back, but Jude and Sienna turned it down,” an insider tells Star. “They had no problem flaunting their love right in the middle of the restaurant. They definitely looked like they were head-over-heels for each other.”

Although their reps denied recent reports that they’d reconciled, the couple — who broke off their engagement in 2006 following his cheating scandal with his kids’ nanny — didn’t skimp on public displays of affection.

“They came in holding hands and kept touching each other and kissing throughout the entire meal,” says the insider . “They only had eyes for each other!”

Aw. How sweet. Those two really do seem oddly meant for one another.

Regardless of the fact Jude barely remembers his rendezvous with Samantha, he plans to man-up and pay child support. The baby’s name is Sophia.

“I doubt Jude was there,” says the source. “Besides the financial support, he’s not involved.” The source adds: “Samantha is doing well” after the birth. (via People.com)

Jude‘s rep released the following statement when he learned of his impending addition in the summer.

“Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year,” the actor’s rep said. “Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made.”

The more we learn about this story the more sick it seems. Literally. According to new sources at Eonline.com, Jude was sick when they met (though apparently not too sick to have sex), and Samantha swung by his apartment to nurse him back to health. When his people alerted him to the fact he had a little Jude in some lady’s oven, he had no recollection of her.

Keep in mind, though. Samantha Burke is not a gold-digger. She wrote on her blog:

“I can’t tell you how far from a gold-digger I am. I’ve never dated a rich man in my life. I’ve always wondered how girl friends of mine could even ask their boyfriends to buy them clothes.” Still, her friend had to point out that Samantha comes from “a very white trashy town” in Pensacola, Fla., and “her family doesn’t have any money.” Just in case that means anything?”

Oh, Jude. Next time wear a condom.

“After Jude confessed to Sadie and their children that there was to be an addition to the Law family, he pulled Sadie aside to explain more of his fears. He believes there are pictures taken by Samantha which could cause him embarrassment. Samantha was totally smitten with Jude and enjoyed photographing him hugely. It was a passionate fling and there was a real animal attraction.”

Burke’s lawyer tells TMZ: 

“Ms. Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall. Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy.”

Law announced yesterday that he’s expecting his fourth child due in the fall from a former relationship. Jude intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life. Jude Law already has three chidren with his ex-wife, Sadie Frost — Rafferty, 12, Iris, 8, and Rudy, 6.
