Jokes aside, Kurkova believes women need to take a “fun and healthy” approach to dieting!

Karolina said: “You have to look good. But I will take as much time as I need and see how I feel. If you are a mum, you shouldn’t be a size zero. You have to go with the body you have. I want to set a good example to women that it’s important to look good and look after yourself but in a fun and healthy way.”

The supermodel told Hello! magazine: “The most important thing is I am healthy. I’d like to get into the best shape I can, but I’m going to do it without a huge black cloud over me.”I don’t want to rush back to work. There’s always time for that. I’m enjoying being a mum and my priority right now is Tobin. It’s a very special bonding time, and I’m lucky I have the chance to do that. Then, for sure, I’ll go back to work – I’m looking forward to bringing him on the set and travelling with him. He already loves the camera and having his picture taken – he knows what mummy does.” – via Female First

I can’t agree more. Getting in shape is important but taking your time and not overdoing is probably more important. You want to get in shape in a healthy way and hopefully maintaining it.

Well, we know Heidi announced she was pregnant this spring, Adriana announced she was pregnant this spring and now, from the NY Post:

KAROLINA Kurkova, the Czech supermodel often seen in the front row at Knicks games, is six months pregnant. The father is her fiancé, Archie Drury, a former Marine and Scientologist who made the documentary “Voices of Iraq.” A rep at DNA Models said, “The couple have been together for a little over a year. This is the first child for both.”

So that means THREE big models are going to be out of commission for the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows this fall: Heidi, Adriana and Karolina. I wonder what the people in charge of the models think about that! They probably aren’t wanting to throw a baby shower just yet…

In the summer, Karolina took the stage and a picture from a behind angle showed she had ‘love handles’.  It was more like the way she had her body turned and it was just a bad picture.   Behind the scenes, she dieted and exercised more to keep her Victoria’s Secret gig.  And Fox News says:

But for several weeks leading up to last year’s Miami show, an inside source said that the supermodel cut carbs altogether, and worked out for hours in an effort to keep up with other super-slim Angels Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr and Marisa Miller.“She was exhausted and didn’t get down to where she wanted to be,” said the pal.

Her dieting worked last minute and she kept the gig, even though her name didn’t make it to the press and written materials. It was that close she was going to be cut.   But we also find out Karolina has a thyroid disorder, which makes it hard to burn calories.  Do you think cutting from the program would have been fair?

“Far from being a US centric list, you’ll find a face and body, from six continents,” Fox News quoted E!Online Kurlova, the 24-year old, Czech model who is famous for being one of Victoria’s Secret gorgeous angels, she currently lives in New York city and she’s dating Ukrainian professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko. Kurkova has an almost invisible bellybutton and in case if you’re curious Karolina had an operation when she was an infant! Hey even a Victoria’s Secret Angel doesn’t have to be perfect.

…cellulite!!  O.M.G.  She is real!  In reality, the pictures look a bit distorted, like they were taken as she turned or had her body bent at a funny angle.  Do you think she is fat?  From all of the long, skinny leg she is showing here, I’m sure she turned in to quite a heifer overnight.  I hope you’re reading the sarcasm there…  What is this world coming to when we see a model with an ounce – literally – of fat and call her fat, yet our oversized butts can hardly fit in the chairs to watch them walk down the runway?  Pots calling the kettles black?

Mario Testino, a fashion photographer said of Kurkova, “The proportions of her body and her face, as well as her energy level, make her a model who could fit almost into any moment.” Designer Marc Jacobs said, “She has an angelic look with a dark side, she’s sweet and fun but looks like she could be an evil bewitching child.”

Besides being one of the highest paid models in the world. Kurkova is also set to make her film debut alongside Frankie Muniz, Harvey Keitel and Amber Valletta in Howard Himelstein’s coming-of-age dramedy, My Sexiest Year.
